Issue Setting up camera motion detected or camera image lost camera events to trigger an Output or Output Group. Product Line EcoStruxure Security Expert Environment Security Expert Video Integration Cause Through various Video Integrations, Security Expert is able to use camera events (such as camera motion detected) to popup a camera window when those events are seen. However, camera events are not associated with an Input or Door and therefore Security Expert is not able to trigger Outputs or Output Groups directly from these camera events.  Resolution Camera events are not able to be used to trigger Outputs or Output Groups in Security Expert. If this is a requirement, contact local solution category management to have this setup as a new feature. 

Issue When a Xenta Server alarm object generates and email, the email is accompanied by several emails showing alarms from objects that did not go into alarm. Environment Xenta Server 5.0.2 through 5.1.7 Cause When the system program in the Xenta server polls multiple point simultaneously it may interpret one alarm signal as multiple alarm signals from all polled points. Resolution Option 1 - Edit the Xenta Servers Xbuilder project Change the scan time on all alarm objects so that they are at different scan rates. Generate the project Send the project to target. Option 2 - Connect to the affected I/NET controllers Modify the points in Resident I/O Change the scan rate of each point so that all alarms have different scan rates.

Issue XBuilder crashes when a LNS network is inserted Environment XBuilder LNS Network Cause XBuilder will crash when a LNS network is inserted that contains a XIF file which has multiple signals with the same name. Resolution If Vista 5.0.0 or higher is being used you can create a Vista database solely for the purpose of inserting it into XBuilder to avoid this problem. Otherwise the XIF file will need to be modified to remove the duplicate names and the template replaced with the new XIF file.  

Issue What are the specifications of the internal battery of a UNC-6x0? Environment UNC600 UNC610 Cause When the battery is replaced, follow Technical Bulletin TB06-05 to restore the BIOS settings. Resolution The internal battery is a CR2032 (3 Vdc) and is available from any retail technology outlet store.

Issue Will Signal XP software run on Windows 7 in the XP mode? Environment Signal XP, Windows 7 Cause Will Signal XP software run on Windows 7 in the XP mode? Resolution SIGNAL XP software has not been tested or validated to be compatible with the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system or running in either Windows 7 XP or Virtual XP mode. Since the product is obsolete, no further engineering work will be done with the product.

Issue Once working access cards now produce invalid read when presented to card reader. Environment Card reader Invalid read Cause Reader power supply was no longer supplying power to the reader. Battery backup had been depleted and was not supplying sufficient voltage to the reader.   Resolution Repair or replace card reader power supply.

Issue The SEQROT object in the Network8000 integration in the AS seems to work with constant input values but not reference pointers. Environment AS version 1.3.0 & 1.3.0 SP1 with Network8000 interface Cause After the object has been defined to use constant inputs those input values must be reset to Null before the reference inputs will be used. Resolution The Analog input constant can be returned to Null by highlighting the value it contains and clicking the delete key.  The field will be empty until a save is done.  With a digital input such as the Rotate stages constant simply highlight the value and click the delete key and it will change to Null.

Issue When trying to edit a OGC graphic from Vista a error message is shown, "Can not find the Symbols file". And the OGC editor is not starting up. Environment Vista 4.2.5 Cause The symbols file used by the OGC graphic editor is not correctly defined. Resolution Open Workstation, click on TAC Vista Right click on $Symbols and select Properties Click on the 'source file name', browse to the $ini folder (in Vista 5.1.7 C:\Program Files\Schneider Electric\TAC Vista 5.1.7), find the symbols.sym file. Click OK

Issue In OPRIF 11.6, the "database save" command does not work.  When pressing "S" for save, the first prompt asks for the drive letter where the files will be saved (i.e. C drive).  After pressing enter, the second prompt requests a filename.  An eight-digit filename can be entered.  A file path is optional.  After pressing enter, a new screen should appear as the database save begins.  However, after pressing enter, the screen returns to the main database menu. There are no errors reported. Environment DMS OPRIF 11.x Cause A graphic screen is missing from the installation of OPRIF.  After entering the driver letter and filename for the database save, a new screen should appear.  The graphic file is requested but doesn't exist.  As a result, the database save command aborts and returns to the main database menu screen. Resolution The simplest solution is to re-install OPRIF 11.6 "overtop" the existing installation.  The missing file(s) will install.

Issue Specifying engineer wants to know the input impedance of the voltage inputs on the MNL-10Rxx / 15Rxx / 20Rxx controllers.  This information is not in the data sheet. Environment MNL-10Rxx controller MNL-15Rxx controller MNL-20Rxx controller Cause Job specification requirement Resolution The minimum input impedance for a MNL-10Rxx /-15Rxx / -20Rxx  UI configured as a voltage type input is 20K ohms.

Issue A SIGNAL computer is missing the security plug or the original installation diskettes. How can they be replaced? Environment SIGNAL computer Cause Purchase replacement part for SIGNAL computer. Resolution Here are the part numbers: SIG-KEY-CHG -> (obsolete) replacement security plug SIG-UPDAT-ENG -> replacement installation diskettes When ordering, provide the existing serial number so that the replacement part can be coded properly. Note: Both items above cannot be ordered for the same job. If both items are lost, a new SIGNAL software package must be ordered.

Issue The Video Server cannot be connected in Chinese OS. Environment Vista Chinese OS or the Language/Region setting is Chinese Cause The odd digits password of Video Server will change to even digits in Workstation in Chinese OS. For example, 5 digits password will change to 4 digits. 1 digit password will change to blank. Resolution Change the Language and Region setting to English.

Issue What is a Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) and how do I obtain one for EBO? Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Enterprise Server Building Operation Enterprise Central Building Operation Workstation Cause A Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) is a comprehensive list of all software components used in a particular application or system. It provides details such as the names and versions of libraries, modules, frameworks, and other software elements integrated into the final product. SBOMs are used for several purposes:   Security: They help in identifying and addressing vulnerabilities in the software by providing transparency into the components used, making it easier to track and remediate security issues. Compliance: SBOMs assist in ensuring compliance with licensing requirements and open source software usage, helping organizations manage legal and regulatory obligations related to software distribution. Supply Chain Management: They enable organizations to understand and manage the dependencies and origins of software components, facilitating supply chain risk management and resilience. Support and Maintenance: SBOMs aid in effective support and maintenance of software by offering insights into the various components and versions used, allowing for better troubleshooting and updates. In essence, SBOMs enhance transparency, security, and governance in software development and deployment processes, thereby contributing to overall software quality and risk management. Resolution Since libraries and components contained within software may change between releases a SBOM is a dynamic document that needs to be compiled upon request. Please contact your local Product or Account management team, specifying the exact EBO version you require an SBOM for. 

Issue Sometimes the availability count for license features are displayed as double the actual available count for Entitlements. The problem has no functional effect on the system other than that the visual indication of the feature count is wrong. Issue seen in Entitlement View - Features inside a License Product are doubled. Issue seen in Server View. -The issue can be seen temporarily during activation on the server line. -The number of features inside the License Products available for activation under the server are doubled permanently. Server line view after activation. - After the license product has been activated the features on the server are shown correctly. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Automation Server Premium (AS-P) Secure Boot Building Operation Automation Server Bundled (AS-B) Scalable Cause AS-P Classic and AS-B Classic licenses are NOT affected. None of the Windows licenses are affected.   EBO releases affected: All EBO versions up to and including 4.0.3. The EBO systems that are already running licenses are Not affected. Customers that for any reason reinstall an Entitlement in DA will be affected by the issue. EBO 5.0.1 Resolution This issue is planed to be resolved in the following EBO versions: EBO 4.0.4 EBO 5.0.2

Electrostatic Discharge Required: Always discharge static electricity from your person by touching metal prior to handling any hardware. Failure to do so may result in damage to devices. Issue There is an alarm showing after adding a downstream controller Product Line EcoStruxure Access Expert Environment Access Expert Hosted V3 Cause Instructions needed to eliminate the power failure and  tamper alarms showing on newly added downstream devices Resolution When adding downstream devices, for example, An MR50, MR52 or MR16In/Out to an SSC, EP1501 or EP1502 controller, an alarm may show in the hardware tree. To get the controller out of this state, the following steps need to be taken: a. Locate the terminal block(TB) on the panel which contains the connections for CT (Cabinet Tamper) and BA (Power Fault) Note: You may need to consult the specific controller documentation since the TB#  with these connections are different on each board. It will look similar to the following: b. Remove the connector Cut two small pieces of wire, one for each Alarm Use the 2 wires to jumper each connection (CT and BA) to create a closed circuit. This assumes these contacts are not being used for their usual purpose. No resistors are required Place the connector back on the board The downstream devices no longer show alarms for the respective addresses.

Issue Need information on programming holidays and special dates Product Line EcoStruxure Access Expert Environment Access Expert Hosted software V3 Resolution Programming Holidays and Special Dates   Overview   Holidays are exceptions to a normally scheduled interval. Feenics has made several fundamental changes to the holidays within the Keep by Feenics System. This article will walk through how the new holiday sets work and how to implement them. The holidays apply globally to all schedules.   Updating    The launch of the new holiday system requires a system upgrade within your instance. This upgrade only needs to occur once and is irreversible. To upgrade, click the "Update Holidays" button.   Note: Before you begin converting holidays, there can be no more than 8 holiday sets in the older system for the update to work.   Once that button is clicked, a warning will pop up letting you know that the process is irreversible. Click OK and your instance will be updated.     ***Note: Customers within an Enterprise instance will need to apply this update to ALL shared instances and the Enterprise instance separately.   Adding Holidays   Holidays are added to the system through the "Add Holiday Duration" button. This will add a holiday interval to the system. Holiday Durations   Holiday Durations are days in the system on which, the schedules should not activate. To add a Holiday, click "Add Holiday Duration", then name the day. This day will prevent all schedules from activating unless added to the "Always Active On" column in a schedule. Holiday durations are limited to 255 per instance.  Display Name: The name of the holiday interval, i.e. Valentine's Day, Halloween, Veterans Day. Start Date: The date the holiday interval begins on. End Date: The date the holiday interval ends on. (If the start and end date match, the holiday will be for that day only). Special Date: This flag inverts the behaviour. If this holiday interval is assigned to a schedule interval (via Holiday Groups), the schedule interval will activate for that day. Holiday Group: This selection allows the user to group holiday intervals into sets.  Tags: As in the rest of keep, tags allow for organization and permissions to be set by these groupings.   Holiday Groups   Holidays can be grouped together by using holiday groups. These groups are edited by selecting the "Edit Holiday Groups" button and modifying the Group Name. Holiday intervals are then added to the group by assigning them in the Holiday Group column of the holiday interval. ***Note: The shared holidays between groups should be in their own group. This will allow the non-shared holidays to be applied to schedules correctly.   Applying Holidays   Holidays apply globally to all schedules. A holiday Group can be added to a schedule interval to tell that interval to ignore that holiday.   ***Note: If a holiday exception is added to a schedule interval, the schedule will activate on the day of the holiday, regardless of the day selection on the schedule interval. Special Dates   Special Dates can be used to activate a schedule interval for a day or group of days regardless of the other intervals within the schedule. To add a special date, open the Holidays page and add the day(s) as a holiday interval, then check the "Special Date" box. Add the special date(s) to a group on its own.

Issue I/NET transitioned User ID Credentials that have non-numerical characters (like a dash "-") cannot be modified in the Security Expert Client Product Line EcoStruxure Security Expert,TAC INET Environment Security Expert Controller Cause Security Expert Client does not allow User ID Credentials with non-numerical characters with a dash (-) to be modified Resolution Method 1: Delete the dash from the User ID Credential the first time you need to make any other edit to that user in SX. Click Save.   Method 2: Make a backup of the existing SX database in case you want to restore what you had. Use the latest version of the INET Database Transition Tool to re-transition ONLY Users. Note: Any adjustments you've made to the User's Access Levels in SX since the original transition from INET will be lost. You will need to make those adjustments again.

Issue 3rd party BACnet device can send a reinitialize device request to an EBO server. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Automation Server Building Operation Automation Server Premium Building Operation Automation Server Bundled Building Operation Enterprise Server Cause EBO servers support the "ReinitializeDevice-B" Bacnet device management service. This allows BACnet clients, such as BACnet browsers or operator WorkStations, to initiate ReinitializeDevice requests, i.e. Warm Start or Cold Start. Resolution EBO currently does not support passwords for the ReInitializeDevice service. It is possible to create a whitelist for the EBO server and exclude a 3rd party BACnet device from that list, but this will block all communication with the 3rd party BACnet device.

  Issue Is it possible to use the RP-C relays to control LED Light?  The specification sheet does not specify the maximum inrush current. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Room Controller (RPC) 24 V Building Operation Room Controller (RPC) 230 V Cause RP-C is not designed for switching light loads, and especially not LED loads. LED loads will result in a very high inrush current and require relays that are designed for that. Furthermore, the light application often requires relays that keep the light on in case of power failures which is not the case for RP-C. Resolution The CRS light modules and the Hotel Relay modules have that type of relays and can handle peak currents up to 800A, which is typical for LED loads. If using the CRS modules is not an option for the customer another possibility is to use a contactor connected to the RP-C.

Issue The Zenitel integration to Access Expert provides the ability to add Zenitel ICX-500 controllers and stations for interaction with intercom devices and monitoring Zenitel events. In the Access Expert Windows Client, Zenitel Exchanges are accessible from the Intercom tab within the Hardware Provisioning section. The associated list of stations will appear when selecting and opening an Exchange. Product Line EcoStruxure Access Expert Environment Access Expert Hosted software Cause While trying to integrate a Zenitel intercom system to Access Expert there are some very specific steps that need to be followed Resolution Zenitel Exchanges Exchanges are used to group together and connect a specific set of Zenitel Stations. Through the Exchanges list, the following functionalities and properties are accessible: Add an Exchange: To add an Exchange, navigate to the Exchanges list and click “Create Exchange” in the upper left-hand corner. A dialogue will appear, prompting for a Display Name and MAC Address. Additional properties and information are available for viewing on the Exchange document once it’s been added. Note: It is important that the MAC address is valid. This is how the stations connect and populate in the instance. Note: The MAC address is not editable in the Exchange document after creation. Stations List: Each Exchange document has a read-only list of Stations connected to it. The system automatically populates the list based on Stations with a connecting MAC Address. This list is automatically updated with the most current available stations.   Zenitel Stations Stations are used to make calls. Stations can be accessed via the Exchange to which it’s connected, the global search bar, or the hardware tree. The Station contains the following properties: Display Name (Editable): This is the editable display name associated with the station. Connected To (Read-Only): Display name of the connected Exchange Configured Name (Read-Only): This is the non-editable original display name of the station configured by the ICX-500. Exchange Number (Read-Only): Number of the associated Exchange. Directory Number (Read-Only): Number to dial to reach this station. Connected Reader (Editable): Reader associated with the Station. Users may specify a reader in case they need to perform actions on surrounding hardware. Cameras/Views (Editable): Multiple cameras and views may be added via the Cameras tab. Reader functionality: Within the Stations form, users may specify a connected reader. Associated functionality to the reader is accessible directly through the “Actions” dropdown list or in the context menu when right-clicking a station that has a connected reader attached.   Functionalities for the associated readers include: Pulse Connected Reader Turn Connected Reader to Online Mode Unlock Connected Reader Lock Down Connected Reader Reset Connected Reader Floor Plans Edit Floor Plan: Stations may be added to floor plans. In the left-hand list of Available Hardware, all stations within the current instance will appear and may be added using the plus button to the right. At the top of the available hardware, a station icon exists for filtering.   View Floor Plan: When viewing a floor plan with connected stations, the station's alarm status will appear in real-time. The appropriate statuses and line states of the stations are also displayed and changes occurring with the stations are updated on the floor plan accordingly.   Hardware Tree Stations can be accessed via the hardware tree and can be filtered from the top of the list via its icon. The color of the Station object is used to determine its state (Green for Online, Red for Offline). Status is also viewable via an icon that appears on the Station (Black “X” indicating that a station is busy, grey phone symbol indicating that a station is in a call). Since a standalone list of all stations is not available via the Windows client, the hardware tree is the only place all stations within the current instance can be viewed at once.   Licensing Licensing of the Zenitel integration is based on the number of stations. Instances may be licensed for any number of specified Stations and thus, the system will not allow Stations within the instance to exceed the amount in which it’s licensed. If the instance is not licensed for any stations, the “Intercom” section in the Hardware Provisioning tab will not be visible.
