Issue Instructions needed for batch importing Users into Access Expert Product Line EcoStruxure Access Expert Environment Access Expert Hosted V3 Cause Steps are needed to import Users from another system Resolution Batch Import   When converting a site, all user records and information needs to be imported into the new system. For Access Expert here are the steps in order to accomplish this:   Log on to the instance Once it opens up select the Access Control Tab and choose the Batch icon When this editor opens up select the Download Default Example file This will give a sample of the format that is expected when the Upload CSV is needed From the original application, if there is a dump file (Continuum) or an existing csv, copy and paste into an excel file or use the template and rename it accordingly. Choose the relevant columns to match from the list. Once satisfied with all the entries and fields, save the file then return to AccessXpert and select the Upload CSV as mentioned in Step 3. Select the file to open and once completed, all the users will then be displayed.

  Issue Understanding the EP1501 and LP1501 downstream device limitations Product Line EcoStruxure Access Expert Environment Access Expert Hosted V3 Cause Downstream device limitations determine how many upstream controllers are required when using these controllers Resolution When choosing to use the EP1501 or LP1501, knowing the limitations of the downstream devices plays an important part in determining the number of controllers needed for a job. The limitation is 8 I/O devices, so if the downstream controller is an MR 50 then a total of 9 readers including the onboard reader can be utilized. Keep in mind that no matter what the mixture is, including MR51e's or MR52's, a total amount of 17 readers can be used or licensed on these controllers  

Issue Doors are going offline and online. Verification of the number of Reader Licenses purchased for an Instance Product Line EcoStruxure Access Expert Environment Access Expert Hosted Software V3 Cause When adding readers to an existing site the number of subdevices and readers may exceed the number of licensed readers in the instance, so doors bounce offline/online if power is removed from existing readers. A method for verifying the number of reader licenses is needed. Resolution Steps for verifying the number of Reader Licenses for an Instance Open Access Expert and log on to the Instance Right Click on the Instance and select the Manage License option A list of licenses for each object is displayed for the current Instance Based on this information the partner/user can determine how many licenses are required Create a Purchase Order and use the needed part number for the object Example: AXH-RMC-32V3 to add additional reader licenses

Issue Frequency of  Zigbee device SED-MTH-G-5045 sending its values Product Line Field Devices. Environment Zigbee SED-MTH-G-5045 Motion/Humidity/Temperature Sensor Cause Unsure how frequently the sensor updates it's values to the network. Resolution Motion Transmitted immediately on sensing of motion. Temperature  Transmitted, by default at least once every 10 minutes. If it has changed by 0.5 C or more, than it will be sent immediately with a limit on sending no more often than every 2.5 minutes. Minimum interval = 2.5 minutes Maximum interval = 10 minutes Reportable Change = 0.5 degrees C Relative Humidity Transmitted, by default at least once every 10 minutes If it has changed by 0.5%RH or more, it will be sent immediately with a limit on sending no more often than every 2.5 minutes. Minimum interval = 2.5 minutes Maximum interval = 10 minutes Reportable Change = 0.5% RH   These reporting rates are configurable for the sensor.

The recommendation is for the receive heartbeat be set to 2-5 times the send heartbeat of the field controller. Starting at 2 times, then increasing if the problem persists. If the controller doesn’t have a heartbeat and the LON value rarely changes, disable the receiver heartbeat in the IC-LON’s gateway.txt file by setting the heartbeat to 0. Example: 1     2     3        4      5   6  7 2,   2,  112,  1293,  0,  0, 0   The Sigma system is now out of its support period, consideration should be given to transitioning or upgrading to SpaceLogic - EcoStruxure Building Operation.

Warning Hazard of Electric Shock: Remove all power from all devices before removing any covers or doors of the system. Disconnect power at the device and at the power source. Issue The SLO Label shows an incorrect value range for kL. Product Line Field Devices Environment SpaceLogic SLO series Lux sensor Cause The label on the SLO shows the incorrect value range for kL. Resolution SLO: The product specification sheet states the Ranges for the jumper as: - 0 to 500 lx and 0 to 20 kLx The range to 500 lx can be seen on the circuit board. The product’s label shows 0 – 4kL The manufacturer has confirmed the label is incorrect the value should be 500 lx, New labels will be used in production from August 2022.   SLR: The tense delivery situation during the pandemic, especially for electronic components, has forced the manufacturer to make technical changes to the SLR in order to stay able to continue to deliver reliably. The range has extended from 0.4 to 0.5 kLux. These changes are incorporated in the corresponding instructions, provided with the devices. New labels will show the extended range.

Issue The Alarm Priority does not display the correct value (110) in the Alarm View or Event View when the Alarm is in the "Alarm" state and displays 100 Value instead. It displays correctly in the Alarm view when the alarm state is "Acknowledged" or "Reset", and it displays correctly in the Event view when the alarm state is "Reset Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Workstation Building Operation Automation Server Building Operation Enterprise Server Cause Incorrect configuration Resolution There is an"Alarm decorator override" that seems to override the priority for the alarm If in alarm state and priority is 110, then the priority is overridden to 100 as configured in the alarm decorator object Removing the override in the decoration will resolve this issue

Issue After transitioning SP-AC1, hardware does not respond to manual commands. Issue Guidance is needed for creating a PE program for announcing access by VIP to a door Product Line Andover Continuum Environment Continuum Cyberstation Continuum Net Controller II Continuum ACX 2 Controller Continuum ACX 4 Controller Cause Need a way to identify a sub-set of credential holders, (Personnel Objects), with access to the site and take some action when one of those individuals gain access to a door. Resolution The subset of credential holders is defined via the Department Code which is an attribute of the personnel object.   PERSONNEL CONFIGURATION   Any person with a Department Code of 600 will be identified as VIP by the PE Program.   DOOR CONFIGURATION  The door(s) need to be configured with a department point (InfinityNumeric)  *** In this example we are only doing the entry side of the door, the program can be easily modified to handle the exit side of a door as well. Issue Support for UI16A CIO with FW 2.016 and HW C How is CIO FW 2.016 distributed? Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment EcoStruxure Building Operation I/O Module 16 Ch UI Cause Due to component changes in the UI16A CIO module, a new HW version C has been created. Consequently, a new firmware (FW) file has been created specifically for that new HW version, 2.016. Resolution This FW version will be installed already at delivery from the factory for the new version of UI16A modules. For this new UI16A model, one cannot install older 2.015 firmware as it is not compatible. All the older modules can remain at the latest published CIO release 2.015. The HW version which is printed on the product label is changed from B to C on the new UI16A version. The Hardware version can also be viewed in the module object through EBO. For all other modules, the HW version will stay at B.

Issue Listview columns show a number but the meaning is not shown Product Line Andover Continuum Environment Listview Cause There is some data in a listview where the exact meaning of an integer is not clear. Resolution There is a text file called stsvs.txt located in the Continuum folder that can be viewed to explain the integer to text relationship for many types of object. An example is Activity "CallerCode" which only returns an integer value. Searching the "stsvs.txt" files shows the equivalent text.

Issue Detailing configuration and starting DWiz on a computer running EcoStruxure for Buildings Operation. Product Line EcoStruxure Buildings Operation Environment Building Operation Workstation Xenta 281 Xenta 301 Xenta 401 Cause DWiz (Download Wizard) was a part of the TAC Vista installation, but not so commonly used in EcoStruxure Buildings Operation, and therefore no longer included in the Start menu. It is however still installed and could be started from Windows File Explorer. Resolution   Verify the Com port used. If your computer does have a serial port, this is normally Com1 or Com2. If you are using a USB to RS232 adapter (like Aten), you could get a much higher number. The program requires a port number between 1 and 9. You may need to change the port number. This could be done via Windows Device Manager. In Windows File Manager, go to the directory where EcoStruxure Buildings Operation Workstation is installed. Here you will find DWiz.exe as well as MentaSetup.exe. Start MentaSetup.exe, adjust Com Port, select Apply and Close. MentaSetup        5.  Now it should be possible to start DWiz.exe located in the same directory.

Issue When a disabled card is presented to a reader the Door name of that reader is not included in the User Record Disabled events.  Product Line EcoStruxure Security Expert Environment Security Expert Disabled User Card Cause Once the user has been disabled the User object no longer resides in the controller. Resolution The information in the User Record Disabled event can be used to determine which reader the user has badged at. The Controller column has the controller that registered this event and the Description will tell you the Reader Expander and Port on that Expander. Record Disabled Event In the above example event, we can determine Bill has badged at Reader Port 1 of Reader Expander address 1 on controller QCA02 - ADM.

Electrostatic Discharge Required: Always discharge static electricity from your person by touching metal prior to handling any hardware. Failure to do so may result in damage to devices. Issue ACX5740 controller randomly re-boots and restore from flash, the controller does not attempt warm start but instead jumps directly to cool start.  Product Line Andover Continuum Environment Continuum ACX 2 Controller Continuum ACX 4 Controller Continuum Net Controller II Cause Door striker creating an electrical spike that can travel back down the output wiring to the controller. When this happens, it generally will not damage any of the hardware in the controller but it could cause it to reset or cause its memory to get scrambled. The fact that the controller does not attempt warm start but instead skips directly to cool start is a strong indication that memory corruption is taking place, on startup, the controller verifies RAM memory is intact and will not attempt warm start otherwise. Resolution Install Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV ) to add voltage suppression to the controller's output driving the door striker. (Put the MOVs at the end device and not the controller end)   Another option is to add an isolation relay to keep the electrical noise from reaching the controller's output. 

Issue AS-P that has infinet devices connected to it, crashes during the Spring time-change of daylight savings. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Automation Server Andover Continuum, infinet devices Cause Infinet schedules are sent down to the controller on a weekly basis. Having changed from default to be on Sunday between the time of 2:00 AM and 2:59 AM causes issues during daylight savings time "spring forward" due to that hour time span not existing. This causes the AS-P to crash. Resolution If you have schedules being download differently from the default time interval, ensure that they are not being done on Sundays, between the time of 2:00 AM and 2:59 AM. If they are, update them forward or back an hour to avoid further issues.

Issue Service Containers crash and Gateways fall offline even after Containers coming back online Product Line EcoStruxure Access Expert Environment Access Expert Hosted software Cause The services crash and are offline long enough for the token to expire. Since these services don't store passwords on the machine, they require an authenticated user to reset the flag. Resolution Open the service containers within AX and untick the Authenticated box and click save.

Issue Unable to drag and drop the Application folder into the include types box while performing a search of application files.   Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Workstation v3.0.x  Building Operation Workstation v3.1.x  Cause Searchable interface not implemented on the Application folder (nor on other devices like b3). This is a known issue in v3.0.x and v3.1.x Resolution Rather than using the left mouse button to drag the application folder, right-click the application folder to drag and drop into the include types box. This is to be fixed in 3.2.1.x.

Issue Need sample PE program for control of access to a storage cage gate by forklift operators where the gate is required to stay open (up) until the forklift operator cards at the reader a second time on his/her way out of the cage. Issue Added multiple Lon devices to Lon Network and need to mirror SNVTs from more than one device to the Local Node Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Automation Server Premium Building Operation Enterprise Server Cause Using SNVT bindings between devices and the Local Node of the EBO server allows LON communications bandwidth to be optimized by using the LonWorks protocol Send and Receive Heartbeats configured per device. However, it can be a time-consuming task to mirror SNVTs from multiple identical devices. This time can be reduced by selecting SNVTs in multiple devices using search. Resolution Create a new search Search for one SNVT that is available on multiple devices Use this article to create the mirrored SNVTs in the local node: Creating Network Variables Automatically Search for the next SNVT that is available on multiple devices Repeat until all desired SNVTs are mirrored. RECOMMENDATION: Save the searches for use later when adding more new devices.

Issue TLS Error seen when attempting to export WebReports data from the displayed report as follows: Unable to download ReportsView.aspx (IP address) Unable to open Internet site, the requested site is not accessible or can not be found  Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation WebReports 3.0.x and above  Internet Explorer (used within WorkStation) and Google Chrome Web Browsers Cause To download files, Internet Explorer must create a cache or temporary file. In Internet Explorer 9 or a later version, if the file is delivered over HTTPS, and any response headers are set to prevent caching, and if the Do not save encrypted pages to disk option is set, a cache file is not created. Therefore, the download fails Resolution See Microsoft documentation on how to correct this.  Typically Method 1 will correct the issue.
