What if any voltage can be measured on a Micronet 2000 U-Bus?

Issue What if any voltage can be measured on a Micronet 2000 U-Bus? Environment MicroNet 2000 U-Bus communication Cause Information about voltage helps implement multiple MicroNet 2000 controllers in U-Bus communications interface. Resolution The U-Bus is a Wired-OR open collector communication bus talking at 2400 baud. The MN-ASDI has the U-Bus current source.  It supplies the current for the U-Bus communications. It should supply about 45 ma. with short circuit protection. Under normal communications, the U-Bus voltage will be around 15 volts +/- 2 volts when measured with a voltmeter.

Calibration procedure for Controlli TQ-A31 Air Quality sensor

Issue Is it possible to calibrate a Controlli TQ-A31 Air Quality sensor? Environment Controlli TQ-A31 Cause In field calibration procedure. Resolution It is not possible to calibrate the TQ-A31 sensor on the field. You should read a 0..10Vdc voltage between B and C terminal. If the signal between these two terminal is not in the 0..10Vdc range than it can be the product is defective and therefore I suggest you to send it back to us through the usual claim system.

SysmanSMS stops sending SMS from Vista

Issue SysmanSMS stops sending SMS from Vista Environment SysmanSMS Vista   Cause It is not uncommon that anti-virus software perceives perfectly clean files as viruses. This is a growing problem as the amount of viruses are continuously growing, and the likeliness that they may share similarities in the code with a SysmanSMS file thereby increases.   Resolution Check if the terminal is running an antivirus, and look in its quarantine. Recent updates to some antivirus applications incorrectly identify parts of the Sysman application as a risk. Investigate the antivirus' quarantine folder and note the files and paths which they originally came from. Restore the quarantined files either using the antivirus' restore feature, or manually return them to their original locations. Restart the Sysman services In Windows services, restart TAC Vista Server and Workstation

Xenta 102-B nviManOverride functionality

Issue Xenta 102-B nviManOverride allows for flow or percentage overrides. But since this controller is intended to be used along with a Belimo flow controller/actuator, how do these modes of operation differ? Environment Xenta 102-B Cause Flow control is not actually an option for this controller. Flow values will be interpreted as desired percentages of airflow. Resolution nviManOverride.state = HVO_PERCENT, nviManOverride.percent = 35% The controller fixes the Airflow output (Y1) at 35% (3.5V) nviManOverride.state= HVO_FLOW_VALUE All of the flow values are actually being treated as percentages ... there is no way to set it to a desired flow. (nviManOverride.flow X nciNomFlow / 100) is limited to 0-100% and sent to the Airflow output (Y1). Emergency Override can override these setting, as can setting the controller to slave mode (the overrides would have to be performed on the master controller in that setting). The way to release these states is to set the nviManOverride.state to any value other than HVO_PERCENT or HVO_FLOW_VALUE. Those are the only two values accounted for in the logic.

Vista Workstation crashes when the content of a column in any View exceeds 259 characters.

Issue Vista Workstation crashes when the content of a column in any View (Alarms, Events, Search Results etc.) exceeds 259 characters. Environment Vista 5.1.7 Cause In the unlikely event that the content of a column in a Vista View exceeds a limit of 259 characters, Vista Workstation crashes and must be restarted.  Vista Server is not affected. The problem was discovered while doing a search for TGML graphics, with the property "Bindings" selected.  The search returns one graphic on each row and all the bindings for that graphic are displayed in the property column on that row.  Resolution Upgrade to Vista 5.1.8, when available.  The issue is fixed by truncating the contents of any View column to 259 characters. The issue is highly unlikely to occur in normal use.  In the case of the Bindings search, the workaround is to use the "Change Reference" tool instead

SpaceLogic Server crashes

Issue An AS-P (SpaceLogic Server) is crashing; just before the crash, the memory usage in the AS-P increases until it reaches a level where the AS-P crash.  Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation  Environment Building Operation Automation Server Premium (AS-P) Cause The issue was caused by a Notification report which was located in the ES to which the AS-P was connected, Every time this report was run, the AS-P crashed after a while.  This report included a search of all Modbus points in the system and all properties of the Modbus points. When running the report, the ES was setting up a lot of subscriptions to the AS-P in a very short time period. The AS-P could not handle this huge amount of subscriptions and crashed after a while when trying to process all subscriptions from the ES. Resolution In this particular case, the AS-P had around 2000 Modbus points. When the Notification report was running, the search for these 2000 Modbus points and all properties, which were around 20 per Modbus point, caused the ES to set up around 40 000 (2000*20) subscriptions to the AS-P in a very short time period, and it crashed. To solve this issue, the number of Modbus points in the AS-P was reduced to below 1000, and then the AS-P could handle the number of subscriptions (1000*20=20000) with no crash.   When running a Notification report, including a search, be careful not to search for too many objects and properties in the same report, like in the example above when a search was done for all Modbus objects and properties in an Automation Server.   This is only a problem when a search is done via a Notification report if doing a search from Workstation that is made differently and will not set up a subscription in the same way.

The status of a Lon binding states locked. How can it be changed to bound?

Issue The status of a Lon binding states locked.  How can it be changed to bound?    Environment R2, WorkPlace Pro Cause Binding is locked. Sigma - Using MZ20A actuators with the surface mount version of the S-UNC-AO Card.

Issue The MZ20A actuator stops controlling, and the Analogue Output remains at zero volts. Environment MZ20A MZ20A-R Actuators Surface Mount Cause If the controller power and battery switches are switched off, then when the power is switched back on, the Analogue Output remains at zero volts. Resolution To prevent is issue from occurring, it will be necessary to install a 2K2 ohm resistor between each channel and the common zero volt rail, as shown in the picture below.   Add the 2K2 Ohm resistors to the channels controlling the MZ20A actuators. These resistors do not need to be a close tolerance; a Carbon Film ¼ watt 5% is acceptable, (RS Stock No.135-881 or similar). Note – The MZ20A, are the only actuators that we are aware of that require this modification, therefore if the actuator is changed to another type, the resistor should be removed again.
