Issue
The IP address of a standalone Automation Server cannot be identified, and the Session ID required for password reset cannot be retrieved.
Product Line
EcoStruxure Building Operation
Environment
Automation Server
Cause
Due to the lack of available information regarding a Standalone Automation Server, it is not possible to determine its IP address. Beginning with version 3.2, a password is required to log in via USB to obtain the IP address. Consequently, obtaining the session ID is not feasible under these circumstances.
Resolution
Please note this article’s resolution requires a USB to Ethernet adapter. If one is not available, please consult Identify Automation Server IP address to retrieve the password reset Session ID for an alternative solution to obtain the session id when the IP address is unknown.
