Issue When using PSI 4.1 in direct connect mode, the baud rate is modified and saved but it will not communicate at the new rate. Environment PSI 4.1 Cause A baud rate change in PSI direct connect mode does not take affect until the PSI program is closed and restarted. Resolution Closed the PSI program and restart the program for the new baud rate to take effect.

Issue Servers not visible after upgrade due to permission change Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Enterprise Server ES Enterprise Central EC Cause The Domain Local Group " Reports Administrators" is removed when an ES is upgraded to v4.0 or greater. This Group is automatically deleted during the upgrade because Report Server is not supported in v4.0 or greater. It is possible for local users to be selected as User Group members of " Reports Administrators", so the permissions for these users may change after the upgrade. This is not good practice, only the Reports Server login user should be part of the " Reports Administrators" Group " After the upgrade the Group "Reports Administrators" is removed and the Servers are not accessible Resolution Any users that were part of Group "Reports Administrators" should be reassessed and their permissions corrected 

Issue Does the short yoke Forta actuators fit on the current portfolio of valves?  Environment MG600C Venta Forta Cause With the new short stroke actuator MG600C soon available, will it work with the regular valves? Resolution The MG600C is designed to be used with the VG210R / VG310R valves that will be released in the near future. 

  Issue When viewing the Modbus property in EcoStruxure Building Operation, the status displays "Attention". Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Automation Server Building Operation Enterprise Server Cause The "Attention" status is not documented in the Web Help, which can make it unclear what is causing this state. This status typically indicates that there is an issue occurring within the Modbus system. One common cause is an unrealistic poll rate set on a Modbus group. . Resolution If the poll rate on a Modbus group is set too fast for the server to handle—especially in large Modbus networks—this can trigger the "Attention" state. Recommended Action: Review the poll rate configured for the Modbus group. If it is set to a very low value (e.g., 1 second), increase it to a more realistic interval. For busy networks, a poll rate of 5 seconds or more is typically more achievable. Once the poll rate is adjusted to a manageable value, the Modbus status should return to "Online".

Issue How does the controller-resident schedule work in a Revision 11.x MicroSmart controller? Environment MicroSmart controllers revision 11.x and 10.x Cause Main DMS panel and/or NC panel were removed. Resolution With the loss of schedule control from the DMS or NC, each controller has two built-in schedules numbered 1 and 2. The Start/Stop point requiring a schedule can be assigned either one of these schedules followed by a letter A or letter B. Letter A stands for 'always' and letter B for 'backup'. With no DMS or NC present, enter the schedule as 1/A or 2/A.  Assign 'off' and 'on' times as required. Remove any reference to a DMS or NC schedule number (i.e. set it to a value of 00). 

Issue When doing an "import Trend Logs" in TAC Vista Conversion Tool only HTTPs works and not HTTP. When using HTTP the error message below is shown: "Log on to Building Operation server failed because Failed to access the server, a network error occurred" Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment TAC Vista Conversion Tool version 3.1.1 Cause This is an issue fixed in TAC Vista Conversion Tool version 3.2. The issue is that the "Import Trend Logs" tab looks at the HTTP/HTTPS settings of the "Convert Database" tab instead of its own. Resolution Use TAC Vista Conversion Tool version 3.2 when available. Workaround: Set the HTTP/HTTPS settings on the first tab(Convert Database) even if "Import of trend logs" is done.

Issue Specifying engineer wants to know the input impedance of the voltage inputs on the MNL-10Rxx / 15Rxx / 20Rxx controllers.  This information is not in the data sheet. Environment MNL-10Rxx controller MNL-15Rxx controller MNL-20Rxx controller Cause Job specification requirement Resolution The minimum input impedance for a MNL-10Rxx /-15Rxx / -20Rxx  UI configured as a voltage type input is 20K ohms.

Issue User keeps getting re-prompted for login for each station even though using virtual domain. Each station file has been edited to include the cookieDomain slot.  Also, each station’s “hosts” file has mapped every station’s IP address in the virtual domain to their hostnames. Everything seems to be configured correctly. Environment Niagara R2 Cause Host (station) names contained underscores. The hostname cannot contain underscores. Resolution The station must be renamed without underscores. Change the hostname to match the new station name.

Issue ACX5740 controller randomly re-boots and restore from flash, the controller does not attempt warm start but instead jumps directly to cool start.  Product Line Andover Continuum Environment Continuum ACX 2 Controller Continuum ACX 4 Controller Continuum Net Controller II Warning Hazard of Electric Shock: Remove all power from all devices before removing any covers or doors of the system. Disconnect power at the device and at the power source. Electrostatic Discharge Required: Always discharge static electricity from your person by touching metal prior to handling any hardware. Failure to do so may result in damage to devices. Cause Door striker creating an electrical spike that can travel back down the output wiring to the controller. When this happens, it generally will not damage any of the hardware in the controller but it could cause it to reset or cause its memory to get scrambled. The fact that the controller does not attempt warm start but instead skips directly to cool start is a strong indication that memory corruption is taking place, on startup, the controller verifies RAM memory is intact and will not attempt warm start otherwise. Resolution Install Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV ) to add voltage suppression to the controller's output driving the door striker. (Put the MOVs at the end device and not the controller end)   Another option is to add an isolation relay to keep the electrical noise from reaching the controller's output. 

Issue Is it possible to create host bindings to Vista using NL220? Environment Vista 5.1.7 NL220 Cause Yes it is possible but you must use a Loytec network interface Resolution Create binding to the LON interface in NL220 and use the Vista System Plug-in to import the project to Vista

Issue PCT 2.0 shows "503 Service Temporarily Unavailable" error when trying to reach to PCT server. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Project Configuration Tool Cause The PCT 2 disk has a fixed size limit of 200GB and cannot be expanded by users. Once the disk reaches full capacity, access to PCT 2 becomes unavailable. Resolution Check the size of the "data.vhdx" file: The file resides in the "Virtual Hard Disks" folder. This folder can be found in the path selected during the installation. Folder location: Navigate to the installation path to locate the "Virtual Hard Disks" folder. File location: Inside the "Virtual Hard Disks" folder, locate the "data.vhdx" file. Check the size of the "data.vhdx" file.   If the disk size is over 200GB, contact local support and attach the information.   

Issue On two occasions all of the scheduled periods disappear from the schedule. Environment AS Schedules Exception Schedules Cause Weekly scheduled times were entered as exception schedules. Resolution Recurring periodic scheduled event which occur week after week should be programmed as weekly schedules.  Exception schedules are used to override weekly scheduled events.

Issue What are the specifications of the internal battery of a UNC-6x0? Environment UNC600 UNC610 Cause When the battery is replaced, follow Technical Bulletin TB06-05 to restore the BIOS settings. Resolution The internal battery is a CR2032 (3 Vdc) and is available from any retail technology outlet store.

This can be used to send a broadcast to the users on the system. For example, if the administrator wants to send a text out to 50 people based on an event, then that would leave a total of 450 remaining.   Another use case would be if there was an active shooter at a school campus where there are 500 students, then this would be done one time and the max texts would be sent.   Additional amounts can be purchased in 500 amounts based on what the need is for the customer. so that their monthly usage stays within the amount purchased.

Issue Support for UI16A CIO with FW 2.016 and HW C How is CIO FW 2.016 distributed? Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment EcoStruxure Building Operation I/O Module 16 Ch UI Cause Due to component changes in the UI16A CIO module, a new HW version C has been created. Consequently, a new firmware (FW) file has been created specifically for that new HW version, 2.016. Resolution This FW version will be installed already at delivery from the factory for the new version of UI16A modules. For this new UI16A model, one cannot install older 2.015 firmware as it is not compatible. All the older modules can remain at the latest published CIO release 2.015. The HW version which is printed on the product label is changed from B to C on the new UI16A version. The Hardware version can also be viewed in the module object through EBO. For all other modules, the HW version will stay at B.

Issue TreeTech 3.1 is installed on a Windows 7-32 bit computer.  After receiving the unlock code and entering it, a pop-up error window appears stating "Cannot Access Registry". Environment TreeTech 3.1 Windows 7-32 bit Cause The Windows user account was not configured for a password. Resolution Modify the Windows user account to ensure it has administrative rights and that it has a non-blank password.

Issue Service Containers crash and Gateways fall offline even after Containers coming back online Product Line EcoStruxure Access Expert Environment Access Expert Hosted software Cause The services crash and are offline long enough for the token to expire. Since these services don't store passwords on the machine, they require an authenticated user to reset the flag. Resolution Open the service containers within AX and untick the Authenticated box and click save.

Issue Analog Producer value located in an RP-C controller cannot command light object(BACnet type: crs-lighting-output) or blind object(BACnet type: crs-blind-output) located in another RP-C's CRS expansion module. Resolution In the Analog Producer Value, set the default priority for writing to 2 (normal) or 1 (Force), as shown in below screenshot:  

Issue Will Signal XP software run on Windows 7 in the XP mode? Environment Signal XP, Windows 7 Cause Will Signal XP software run on Windows 7 in the XP mode? Resolution SIGNAL XP software has not been tested or validated to be compatible with the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system or running in either Windows 7 XP or Virtual XP mode. Since the product is obsolete, no further engineering work will be done with the product.
