Frequency of  Zigbee device SED-MTH-G-5045 sending its values

Issue Frequency of  Zigbee device SED-MTH-G-5045 sending its values Product Line Field Devices. Environment Zigbee SED-MTH-G-5045 Motion/Humidity/Temperature Sensor Cause Unsure how frequently the sensor updates it's values to the network. Resolution Motion Transmitted immediately on sensing of motion. Temperature  Transmitted, by default at least once every 10 minutes. If it has changed by 0.5 C or more, than it will be sent immediately with a limit on sending no more often than every 2.5 minutes. Minimum interval = 2.5 minutes Maximum interval = 10 minutes Reportable Change = 0.5 degrees C Relative Humidity Transmitted, by default at least once every 10 minutes If it has changed by 0.5%RH or more, it will be sent immediately with a limit on sending no more often than every 2.5 minutes. Minimum interval = 2.5 minutes Maximum interval = 10 minutes Reportable Change = 0.5% RH   These reporting rates are configurable for the sensor.

Sigma IC Lon Values Going On and Offline

Issue Lon values on the Sigma IC-LON controller intermittently go into and out of default, causing unreliable data communication. Product Line Satchwell BAS & Sigma Environment Satchwell Sigma IC-LON Satchwell Sigma IC3-LON Cause This behavior is typically due to mismatched heartbeat settings between the IC-LON controller and the field controller. Resolution Check Heartbeat Settings: Locate the gateway.txt file on the IC-LON controller. Compare the receive heartbeat setting in this file to the send heartbeat setting of the field controller. Recommended Configuration: Set the receive heartbeat to 2–5 times the send heartbeat. Start with 2× and increase incrementally if the issue persists. Special Case – No Heartbeat & Rare Value Changes: If the field controller does not send a heartbeat and the LON value changes infrequently: Disable the receiver heartbeat in the IC-LON’s gateway.txt file by setting the heartbeat value to 0 . Example Configuration: 2, 2, 112, 1293, 0, 0, 0 Additional Notes The Sigma system is no longer supported. Consider transitioning to EcoStruxure Building Operation for continued support and enhanced functionality.

Considerations restoring an AS-P backup using PCT

Issue The instance values the Function Block program had when the backup was taken is lost when the backup is restored in an AS-P running in PCT. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Project Configuration Tool (PCT) Cause When the program is first initiated, the values for it is written to the database. If the “Program executions” Is turned off, the instance values the program had when the backup was taken is not read. Hence the values are set to 0.   On a real AS-P, a Cold start is performed after the restoring of the backup. When restoring a backup on an AS-P in PCT, one or two cold starts are done, followed by an additional warm start at least for the PCT 2. Resolution To get the instance values from the backup when it is restored, the “Program execution”/”Enable program” In PCT should be turned on before the restore is done.   Since a warm start is done for the PCT, the issue regarding Retain level vs. FB Backup property needs to be taken into consideration. Refer to Function Block Program - Retain Versus Backup

How to identify in the Partner Portal if the EcoStruxure Building Flex Server has gone offline due to a power failure for a specific time period.

Issue Identifying a potential power supply/source failure to the Flex Server for a specific time period.  Product Line EcoStruxure Building Activate Environment EcoStruxure Building Activate Flex Server EcoStruxure Building Activate Partner Portal Cause The Flex Server went offline for some time and then came back online again. There is a need to identify if this happened due to a power source failure to Gateway.  Resolution Login to the Partner Portal and select the customer from the settings icon in the top right corner. Navigate to the Controller section in the left pane and select the particular Gateway from the dropdown. Navigate to 'Plots' tab and select 'PowerSource' Gateway stream under 'MSP430'. The 'PowerSource' stream value should always be equal to '1' as shown above. If this indicates '0' at any time, this suggests a potential loss of power supply to the Gateway.

In OPRIF 11.6, the "database save" command does not work.

Issue In OPRIF 11.6, the "database save" command does not work.  When pressing "S" for save, the first prompt asks for the drive letter where the files will be saved (i.e. C drive).  After pressing enter, the second prompt requests a filename.  An eight-digit filename can be entered.  A file path is optional.  After pressing enter, a new screen should appear as the database save begins.  However, after pressing enter, the screen returns to the main database menu. There are no errors reported. Environment DMS OPRIF 11.x Cause A graphic screen is missing from the installation of OPRIF.  After entering the driver letter and filename for the database save, a new screen should appear.  The graphic file is requested but doesn't exist.  As a result, the database save command aborts and returns to the main database menu screen. Resolution The simplest solution is to re-install OPRIF 11.6 "overtop" the existing installation.  The missing file(s) will install.
