Inserting a 901 network into Xbuilder in Vista 5.0.2/5.0.3

Issue XBuilder will allow you to insert the Xenta group or LonWorks group found under the Xenta 901 port object, but when you add the second group it will add it as a totally separate tree object instead of integrating into the same tree. For example XBuilder will show you this: LON   -XG1 LON   -XG2 When it should look like this: LON   -XG1   -XG2 Environment Xenta 901 XBuilder 5.0.2 and 5.0.3 Cause If you have an older site that is still using a dial connection via a Xenta 901 from your Vista front end and you need to add a Xenta Server to the site to perform connection objects from Inovonics or a 3rd party interface and do not have the option of adding an IP connection to the site then engineering this can be problematic in Vista 5.0.2 or 5.0.3 due to Xbuilder limitations. Resolution To correct this problem, use XBuilder version 5.0.1 stand alone. This will allow you to make the proper tree structure when you insert the groups from Vista and create connection objects for your communication.

How do you convert MicroNet 2000 controller filenames generated by the MicroNet Controller Interface "Get Multiple" function to integrator and controller addresses?

Issue How do you convert MicroNet 2000 controller filenames generated by the MicroNet Controller Interface "Get Multiple" function to integrator and controller addresses? Environment MN-2000, MN-CI, MicroNet Controller Interface Cause The "Get Multiple" function is used to upload application programs from multiple MicroNet controllers under one MicroNet Integrator or a series of MicroNet Integrators.  The application programs are stored as files with the integrator and controller addresses appended to the name. Resolution When uploading files from multiple MicroNet VAV Controllers, the CI creates unique filenames for each uploaded application file by appending the integrator number and device number to the prefix entered in the Enter File Prefix window. The integrator number and device number are appended in hex format. The file shown in the illustration above was uploaded from MicroNet controller 11 under MicroNet integrator 6.

How to save a report once a month

Issue When configuring reports there is no option to select the report to be exported once a month. Product Line EcoStruxure Security Expert Environment Security Expert Cause There isn't an option to have a  report run only once a month. Resolution A workaround for this would be to select a single day of the week for it to run. This would reduce the frequency of the reports to once a week, then to have the operator check the export folder once a month for that months report.   Browse to the Event Report you want to export. Under File Export tab select the Enable File Export checkbox. Set the Time field to the time of day you want to run your report. Set the Export Directory to the folder you want to save your report export files to. Under Days to Export select one day of the week. Under Period select Last Month. Each time this report is run the same file will be overwritten, so when setting the report period to "Last Month" it will export the last months events from when it is run. Once a month the Operator would then select the file in the report folder which will have the last months events in it. The filename of the report is "EventReport" followed by that Event Reports Database ID number.

Does the MPM have an internal power source to maintain the clock during an extended loss of power?

Issue Does the MPM have an internal power source to maintain the clock during an extended loss of power? Environment MPM Cause Clock maintenance during a loss of power Resolution The MPM has a Lithium battery that will keep the system clock online/accurate during a power loss. The battery life is very high, however leaving the MPM unplugged for many months will eventually wear out the battery. Units manufactured after week 13 2016 have a super capacitor rather than a battery. The capacitor has a charge time of approximately 5 minutes after which it will provide backup for the RTC for approx. 48 hours
