Alarm State Sort Order in Webstation is not following the Sort Order in Workstation

Issue After an upgrade to EBO version 3 the  "Alarm State Sort Order" in EBO Webstation is not following the  "Alarm State Sort Order" set in Workstation for certain Alarm Views. Workstation:   Webstation: Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Webstation version 3.0 and later Cause This issue is only seen on Alarm views upgraded from a version earlier than 1.9 to EBO 3.0 or later The problem is that in EBO version 1.9 Webstation did not follow the sort order for Workstation, back then the sort order in the alarm view in Workstation and Webstation was separated. And the default sort order in Webstation was "Triggered time" when upgrading to version 3 the upgrade does not change the sort order for Webstation. So after the upgrade the sort order in the alarm view is "Triggered time" and it will not follow the sort order from Workstation.    Resolution In EBO Webstation version 3 click on the "Filter" button in the Alarm view. Click on "Sort" and remove "Triggered time", click OK In Workstation open the Alarm view and right-click, Open Alarm view settings and click on "Reset standard layout to standard default"

How will SQL logging be affected if a trend log's parameters are changed?

Issue How will SQL logging be affected if a trend log's parameters are changed?  Environment Vista 5.1.X Cause A customer may wish to log values from another point, eg if an energy meter has been changed, or may wish to change the frequency with which the point is logged. Resolution The simplest answer to this question is that if a change affects the log, the message "Log database will be emptied" will be displayed giving the user the opportunity to cancel the action. Depending on the type of trend log being used, the check box "Keep trend log values when changing log point" can be checked and this will allow the log point to be changed - all other parameters must remain the same. It is not possible to change the log interval without emptying the log database for the point as a number of calculations are carried out when displaying log data in a client, that require the points to be logged at a regular interval.

TAC Xenta I/O modules as LonWorks device indicates offline after power restore

Issue TAC Xenta I/O modules working as LonWorks device, indicates offline, flashes fast after power restore. Product Line TAC Vista, EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment XENTA421A XENTA451A Cause When the TAC Xenta I/O modules are used as Lonworks devices, this is indicated by the LED that flash once every tenth second. After a power failure, the device will indicate offline by 5 flashes per second.   The device will indicate offline until it gets an update to any nvi or nci variable. Resolution As soon as the device gets an update on any nvi or nci, it will again start to flash once every tenth second. This means, that if you only read variables from the device, that is, only uses its inputs, it may indicate offline until the next time the configuration is changed.   A workaround for this issue could be to just use a dummy output, that is updated regularly.

When emailing an alarm from the ENC the timestamp is always the time the alarm occurred; even when the Alarm email is due to an acknowledgement or return to normal.

Issue When emailing an alarm from the ENC the timestamp is always the time the alarm occurred; even when the Alarm email is due to an acknowledgement or return to normal. Environment G3, ENC's, JACE's Cause The default "body" property of the EmailRecipient contains only the %timestamp% which represents when the alarm occurred. Resolution Additional parameters can be added to the EmailRecipient "body" property to provide the "return to normal" and "acknowledged" timestamps. The return alarm timestamp can be added with %normalTime%. The acknowledged timestamp can be added with %ackTime%.

Created new bCX and can't see any of the system objects like system variables

Issue After creating a new bCX controller, system objects such as system variables are not visible. Product Line Andover Continuum Environment CyberStation bCX4040 ACX57xx Cause CyberStation did not fully create the new controller object in the database. This can occur due to a communication or initialization issue during the creation process. Resolution To resolve the issue: Delete the newly created controller from the Continuum Explorer. Restart CyberStation to ensure all services are refreshed. Recreate the controller using the standard procedure. Tip: Ensure that CyberStation is running with appropriate permissions and that the database connection is stable before recreating the controller.   Additional Notes: If the problem persists after following the steps, verify the controller firmware version and compatibility with CyberStation.

All NPRs on a site are giving 'Host Lost / Host Restore' alarms, but the TCP/IP network is functioning 100%.

Issue All NPRs on a site are giving 'Host Lost / Host Restore' alarms, but the TCP/IP network is functioning 100%. Environment I/NET Cause Changes to bin file revisions sometimes include updates to communication Resolution This can be caused by a mis-match in .bin file revisions on all downloadable controllers. Verify all the .bin files in each downloadable controller are from the current I/NET revision at the customer's site. The mis-match can come from a tech loading a .bin file from his laptop (with a different rev than the customer). It can also occur when I/NET is upgraded, but the controllers aren't.

Extended Trend Log comparison, EcoStruxure Building Operation versus Continuum

Issue Why do the Architectural Guidelines specify a maximum of 1500 Extended Trend Logs in Automation Servers, whereas such a limitation did not exist with the Continuum Net Controllers, like the NetController II.   Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Automation Server Premium Building Operation Automation Server Bundled Cause EcoStruxure Building Operation's architectural guidelines specify a limit of 1500 Extended Trend Logs for the Automation Servers (AS-P/AS-B). Sites transitioning from Andover Continuum to EcoStruxure Building Operation need to understand the architectural differences that necessitate this limit. Resolution The architectural differences between Continuum and EcoStruxure Building Operation means that it is crucial that Extended Trend Logs are managed effectively to ensure ensuring optimal system performance.   In Continuum: Controller Role: Controllers do not participate in Extended Trend Log functionality beyond sending data from intrinsic logs upon request from Cyberstations. Log Management: Extended Trend Logs reside at and are managed by Cyberstations. Load Distribution: Multiple Cyberstations, configured to collaborate, maintain the Extended Trend Logs, minimizing the load on controllers.     This design puts very little load on the controllers when it comes to Extended Trend Log functionality.   In EcoStruxure Building Operation: Distributed Database Architecture: Extended Trend Logs are managed by the AS-P/AS-B servers. Server Load: The server performs tasks typically handled by multiple Cyberstations in Continuum, which often run on more powerful PC hardware. Performance Management: To prevent Extended Trend Log servicing from overwhelming the Automation Server's resources (CPU, memory), a limit of 1500 logs is enforced. Exceeding this limit can degrade server performance and potentially cause reboots due to critical memory usage.  This can be seen in the following example trace log entry: Nov 30 15:39:58 PSS-AS02 memcritsv[1011]: Memory usage critical!

Issue In a Niagara R2 UNC or Niagara G3 ENC station running the ASD service, the block output override feature does not get range-checked if the override is initiated from a linked gxText. Environment Niagara R2 Cause Graphic feature defect Resolution Attempting an override using the Block Output object with a time that is greater than 255, generates an error informing the user that the range must be between 0 and 255. If the same override is performed from an attached gxText or graphic, the range is not checked. A value greater than 255 is truncated to a one byte value equal to four minutes. Add descriptive text on the graphic near the override explaining (and warning) that the valid range for an override is 0 to 255.

Mixing Low and High voltage on same side of an CRS-HH-REL-10

Issue Why is it recommended to not mix high and low voltage connections on the same side of an CRS-HH-REL-10? Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation.
