BACnet Digital Value is sending ALARM when viewed in 3rd Party BACnet device

Issue The StruxureWare Building Operation BACnet digital value is seen as being in alarm Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment BACnet Digital Value Alarm Cause Having created a BACnet Digital Value under the BACnet Interface / Application. When the digital value is "Enabled" (Active Text), the IN ALARM status flag is set. This causes the third party device to show it as being in alarm. Resolution From v3.0, EcoStruxure Building Operation is BACnet standard at protocol revision 14 so this is not an issue. The text below was written for earlier versions and is valid for v2.0 and earlier. It is not possible to disable the evaluation of intrinsic alarming on BACnet points (which updates the status flags and event state properties). Not updating status flags and event state (according to the alarm-value) was identified by the BACnet Test Lab as a compliance issue with the BACnet standard at protocol revision 6 – the revision SBO implements. The essence of the issue is that we are not allowed to have the intrinsic alarming properties, but not use them – updating the object state according to its configuration. The feature to disable intrinsic alarming (an alarm disable property) was introduced at a more advanced protocol revision (13), which is not currently not available for SmartStruxure. A possible workaround for the issue, if the value periodically changes between active and inactive: set the time-delay (which is measured in seconds) to a large value. If the delay is longer than the amount of time the value spends in what would be the alarm state, then evaluation is avoided. A value of 32,000,000 for example delays evaluation for a little more than a year. NOTE - make sure to set the time delay while status flag in-alarm is false, and event-state is normal, otherwise it would take a year to get out of the alarm state.

MSTP controllers go offline when changing the MaxMaster value in the Automation Server from it's default of 127.

Issue MSTP controllers go offline when changing the MaxMaster value in the Automation Server from it's default of 127 Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Workstation Building Operation Automation Server MSTP Master Controllers Cause The MaxMaster value is being set lower than some or all of the MSTP controllers on the network Resolution EcoStruxure Building Operation supports MSTP Master controllers in the address range 0-127 (often refered to as the node id). The MSTP network is a token passing network where the token is passed around the network, until a controller has the token it cannot 'talk' to other devices.   The MaxMaster value is defaulted to 127 to allow all devices on the network to receive the token and reply to online status requests, send values etc. If the MaxMaster value is less than any of the MSTP Master controller addresses then those controllers never receive the token and cannot respond to online status requests.   The value for the MaxMaster needs to be equal to or greater than the highest addressed MSTP controller node id.  For example, if the highest node id=54 then the MaxMaster will need to be set to 54 or higher. For maximum efficiency the MaxMaster should be set 1 or 2 greater than the highest controller address, this allows for adding future devices without needlessly polling for many non-existent devices.    Please refer to BACnet MS/TP Network Properties – Basic Tab or Configuring the MS/TP Network for b3 Communication

Locked Setpoint adjustment from SE8000 Room Controller

Issue Once the occupied cooling and heating setpoints are written from a BMS, the user is not able to change the setpoint from the room controller Product Line EcoStruxure Building Expert, EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Automation Server Enterprise Server SE8000 Series Room controller Viconics branding VT8000 Series Multi Purpose Manager (MPM) BACnet Cause By default, the occupied setpoint value is written to Room Controller with priority level 16 by the BACnet front end. Attempting to change the setpoint locally using the up and down arrows on the SE8000 Room controller will not be allowed since the Room controller uses the relinquish value internally (priority 17) which will be automatically overwritten by the BACnet front-end. Resolution The work around is to release the BACnet front-end control over the BACnet object using a LUA4RC script. The script can be uploaded using one of the following two methods: 1 - Uploader Tool A USB cable is required to upload the script. The uploader tool can be downloaded from the Exchange Download Script Download Uploader Tool   2 - BACnet The script can also be directly uploaded via BACnet using the "Description" field as shown in the image below if (ME.AV92 == 6 or ME.AV92 == 7) then ME.AV39_PV[16] =nil ME.AV39_PV[10] =nil ME.AV40_PV[16] =nil ME.AV40_PV[10] = nil ME.AV92_PV[17] =0 end Where, ME.AV92 is the Keyboard value ME.AV39 is the Occupied Heating Setpoint ME.AV40 is the Occupied Cooling Setpoint Using this method, the script can be uploaded to multiple SE8000 Room Controllers by following the steps in Bulk Lua4RC upload via BACnet (Mass upload) For more information about Lua4RC, refer to the Lua4RC Programming Guide

Damaged or Disabled Licenses

Issue Licenses are becoming damaged repeatedly over time and/or licenses are going in to a disabled state. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation, TAC Vista Environment SmartStruxure License Administrator Virtual Machine Cause Damaged Licenses: If the license server / license administrator is installed on a virtual machine, the common reason for damaged licenses is that the MAC address of the virtual machine is not set to be static. Every time the MAC address changes, the license will become damaged. Disabled Licenses: This is usually caused when the license fails to complete a process such as a return or repair. This could be due to an intermittent internet connection or the process timed out while trying to communicate with the license server. Resolution Repair License with License Administrator The first step to take with a damaged or disabled license is to use the repair function in license administrator. Follow the steps from WebHelp topic Repairing an EcoStruxure Building Operation Software License. If the repair function does not work, then the license server will need to be reset.  Reset License Server (Unable to Repair License) Below are the steps to remove the damage or disabled licenses before reactivating the permanent licenses again: Put a SBO demo license on the site to get it back up and running right away. Locate the Entitlement ID and/or activation ID of the impacted licenses. Open a case with your local BMS support group and provide them this information. This information will be used to release the licenses to prepare them to be rehosted. There are then two potential methods to  reset the license server: Download and run the SBO License Server Reset tool from the Community Manually reset the License Server Stop the License Server. In the License Server application folder, remove all files:                 - File path for Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and WIndow 10: \ProgramData\FLEXnet                 - File path for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2012: \ProgramData\FLEXnet   Start the License Server Reactivate the returned network licenses.   Note: When you reactivate all returned network license, new License Server .data files are created together with the activation of the first license. For more detail, reference WebHelp: Resetting the License Server.

How to reset the backup to flash circuit breaker on i2/b3 devices

Issue After 2000 backups an attempt to perform a backup to flash results in the error 'Flash backup for this controller has been disabled.' Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation, Andover Continuum Environment b3 controller i2 controller Cause Flash memory has a limited write count; Controllers implement a flash circuit breaker that trips after 2000 backup operations in order to protect the flash device from damage. Resolution (Applies to all b3 and i2 controllers) EcoStruxure Building Operation In EBO, a command has been added that will re-enable backup to flash after the circuit breaker has been tripped (2000 backups) From Workstation, in the object tree, right-click the i2/b3 device. From the context menu select, DEVICE->ENABLE BACKUP TO FLASH     Andover Continuum From CyberStation command line set the ACCStatusBackup system variable of the device to ACCBackupEnable. Upgrading SBO 1.x or EBO 2.x licenses to EBO 2022 v4 or later

Issue Licenses required to upgrade SBO/EBO to EBO 2022 v4.0.x Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Automation Server Premium - Secure boot Building Operation Automation Server Premium Building Operation Automation Server Bundled Building Operation Enterprise Server Cause Clarifying licensing upgrade requirements for EBO 2022 v4.0.x Resolution Example: Upgrading a site SBO 1.x or EBO 2.x to EBO 2022 v4.0.x or later directly. Site has an Enterprise Server (ES) the ES has 7x Automation servers AS-Ps and 2x AS-Bs attached. One AS-P has a Modbus interface, and 1 AS-B has a Modbus interface. Adding 1 additional AS-P classic (non-secure boot), 1x AS-P-S secure boot and 1 AS-B scalable. The SBO 1.x or EBO 2.x licenses need to be upgraded to EBO 3.x first. Upgrade ES licensing from SBO 1.x license to EBO 3.x.  These licenses need to be activated using License Administrator.   1 x SXWSWESUP13010 ES Upgrade from 1.X to 3.0 with 10 or less AS  Note: Upgrading ES from 1.x gives the ability to host the maximum quantity of field devices / controllers at the Enterprise Server (600). Also, when a system is upgraded from 1.x, it will be provided with an unlimited (bounded by the maximums stated in the Architectural Guidelines) client license for connections to the Enterprise Server that has been upgraded.   The following additional licenses are required for each AS-x when upgrading a site from SBO 1.x to EBO 3.x or upgrading a site from EBO 2.x that was originally installed at SBO 1.x and upgraded to EBO 2.x. These are not required if the site was originally installed at EBO 2.0 and upgrading to EBO 3.x. These licenses need to be activated using License Administrator.   7 x SXWSWASUP00001 license will be required one for each AS-P. 2 x SXWSWASUP00001 licenses will be required one for each AS-B.   Note: If the site has more than 24 AS-xs then part number SXWSWASUP00099 provides 999 licenses. EBO 3.2.x architectural guidelines allows a maximum of 250 AS-xs per ES.   Upgrade ES license from EBO 3 to EBO 4 This license needs to be activated using License Administrator.   1 x SXWSWESUP30010 ES Upgrade from 3.X to EBO 2022 or later (i.e. to the current EBO version) with 10 or less AS Upgrade AS-P/B licensing from EBO 3 to EBO 4 or later These licenses need to be activated using Device Administrator.   For each AS-P (non secure boot AS-P and AS-P-NL), one of the following bundles would be required for each AS-P.   SXWSWASPUP30SA Upgrades AS-P-XX from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 or later AS-P Bundle – Standalone SXWSWASPUP30SD Upgrades AS-P-XX from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 or later AS-P Bundle – Standard SXWSWASPUP30EN Upgrades AS-P-XX from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 or later AS-P Bundle - Enhanced SXWSWASPUP30FU Upgrades AS-P-XX from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 or later AS-P Bundle – Full SXWSWASPUP30BP Full Bulk pack for upgrading AS-P-XX from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 or later, contains 125 pieces of SXWSWASPUP30FU. For the AS-P with the Modbus interface, an SXWSWX000MBRTU license is not needed as Modbus is grand-fathered for AS-P classics.   Note: Once an AS-P license is upgraded, there is no differentiation between AS-P Secure Boot and AS-P Non-Secure Boot (Classic):   If the “SXWSWASPUP30SD Upgrades an AS-P from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 or later AS-P Bundle – Standard” license was purchased for an AS-P classic, and later it requires an enhanced or full license.   SXWSWXUP00SDEN ASP Bundle upgrade - Standard to Enhanced SXWSWXUP00SDFU ASP Bundle upgrade - Standard to Full Would need to be purchased.   If the “SXWSWASPUP30EN Upgrades an AS-P from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 or later AS-P Bundle – Enhanced” license was purchased for an AS-P classic, and later it requires an  full license. SXWSWXUP00ENFU ASP Bundle upgrade - Enhanced to Full Would need to be purchased.   For the AS-Bs (AS-B-24, AS-B-24H, AS-B-36, and AS-B-36H), one of the following bundles would be required for each AS-B. These licenses need to be activated using Device Administrator.   SXWSWASBUP30SD Upgrades AS-B from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 or later AS-B Bundle – Standard SXWSWASBUP30FU Upgrades AS-B from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 or later AS-B Bundle - Full A SXWSWX000MBRTU Modbus license is not needed with AS-Bs Note: Once an AS-B license is upgraded, there is no differentiation between AS-B Scalable and AS-B (L) Non-Scalable (Classic): If the “SXWSWASBUP30SD Upgrades AS-B from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 AS-B Bundle – Standard” license was purchased for an AS-B (L) classic, and later it requires a full license.   SXWSWXBBUPSDFU ASB Bundle upgrade - Standard to Full, would need to be purchased.   To upgrade the AS-B-L (classic) type, the SXWSWASBUP30SD ASB Upgrade – Standard license is all that is required.   For the additional AS-P classic one of the following licenses would be required. SXWSWASPUP30SA Upgrades AS-P-XX from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 or later AS-P Bundle – Standalone SXWSWASPUP30SD Upgrades AS-P-XX from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 or later AS-P Bundle – Standard SXWSWASPUP30EN Upgrades AS-P-XX from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 or later AS-P Bundle - Enhanced SXWSWASPUP30FU Upgrades AS-P-XX from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 or later AS-P Bundle – Full For the AS-P with the Modbus interface, an SXWSWX000MBRTU license is not needed as Modbus is grand-fathered for AS-P classics.   For the additional AS-P secure boot one of the following licenses would be required. SXWSWXBU0000SA ASP Bundle - Standalone  SXWSWXBU0000SD ASP Bundle – Standard  SXWSWXBU0000EN ASP Bundle – Enhanced  SXWSWXBU0000FU ASP Bundle - Full  For the AS-P secure boot if a Modbus interface is to be used the SXWSWX000MBRTU Modbus license would be required. For the additional AS-B Scalable one of the following licenses would be required. SXWSWXBBU010SD ASB Bundle – Standard SXWSWXBBU050FU ASB Bundle – Full A SXWSWX000MBRTU Modbus license is not needed with AS-B scalable. If an additional AS-B classic was added one of the following licenses would be required. SXWSWASBUP30SD Upgrades AS-B from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 or later AS-B Bundle – Standard SXWSWASBUP30FU Upgrades AS-B from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 or later AS-B Bundle - Full A SXWSWX000MBRTU Modbus license is not needed with AS-Bs     Addition: If the site had an Enterprise Central (EC) at EBO 2.0 and was upgrading to EBO 2022 v4.0.x or later, one of the following licenses would be required to upgrade to EBO 3.x first:   SXWSWECUP23005 EC Upgrade with 5 or less ES SXWSWECUP23010 EC Upgrade with 10 or less ES Then one of the following licenses would be require to upgrade from EBO 3.x to EBO 2022 v4.0.x or later:   SXWSWECUP30005 EC Upgrade from 3.x - with 5 or less ES SXWSWECUP30010 EC Upgrade from 3.x - with 10 or less ES   For more information on the bundles, search for 'software bundles" in the  “Part Numbers and Hardware/Software User Matrix – EBO 2024”   For information on software and features that require licenses

For further details, see the Order Information Request Webhelp topic.   Evaluation Licenses Evaluation licenses are used for demonstration purposes, training, or site engineering. The evaluation license is a file that can be downloaded from the Exchange and is valid for up to 3 months. Refer to the Activating an EcoStruxure Building Operation Demo License webhelp topic for the activation process.   Activating an Entitlement ID Entitlements can be activated online or offline; however, the online method is far simpler and is preferred. The online method requires the computer that the License Administrator resides on have an internet connection. Online Activation If the computer that the License Administrator is installed on has an internet connection, then refer to the Activating EcoStruxure Building Operation Software Licenses Webhelp topic for the activation process. Offline Activation If the computer that the License Administrator is installed on does not have an internet connection and one can not be temporarily arranged, then refer to the License activation or repair without Internet access Knowledge base article. Once a license file or Entitlement ID has been activated, and the Status reads "Valid" in the License Administrator, the activation process has been completed. The license does not need to be re-hosted after an upgrade and will remain on the computer if the Building Operation Software is uninstalled and reinstalled. To check the status of the license server and licenses that have been activated on the local machine, the Flexnet License Administrator can be accessed by navigating to localhost:8888 in a web browser. The licensing system is the same as used in TAC Vista, which can be seen in License troubleshooting in Vista 5.1.8 or greater.   Returning an Entitlement ID License If the computer on which the License Administrator is being replaced, or it has major operating system changes. In that case, licenses may become invalid and should be returned before those changes. Entitlements can be returned online or offline; however, the online method is far simpler and is preferred. The online method requires the computer that the License Administrator resides on have an internet connection. Online License Return If the computer that the License Administrator is installed on has an internet connection, then refer to the Returning an EcoStruxure Building Operation Software License Webhelp topic for the return process. Offline License return If the computer that the License Administrator is installed on does not have an internet connection and one can not be temporarily arranged, then refer to the License activation or repair without Internet access Knowledge base article. Transferring an Entitlement ID License There is no separate process when transferring a license from one system to another.  Simply return the License from the current system as indicated above and then check that the available seat count has increased by one via the original Entitlement ID. Once returned, activate this same License on the new system as detailed earlier.   Note: Releasing and reactivating licenses can only be carried out a finite number of times per year (4 license returns each year) to prevent misuse of the licensing system.

Hotfix file signature validation error during hotfix installation

Issue During installation of hotfix for EBO you get a "Hotfix file signature validation" error saying that Device Administrator cannot verify the issuer of the file signature's certificate.   In older versions of Device Administrator you might get an alternative error message "Invalid hotfix file" saying that the file does not have a valid Schneider signature. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Automation Server Building Operation Automation Server Premium Building Operation Automation Server Bundled Device Administrator Offline system Version 3.1 and later Cause EBO hotfixes for SmartX Server are signed with a certificate to ensure that only valid files can be used. This certificate must be validated before you can use a new PC to install a hotfix. If the PC has not had any internet connection while previously installing a hotfix or does not have an internet connection, the certificate cannot be validated and hotfix installation therefore fails. Resolution There are two solutions Solution 1 Connect your PC to the Internet and install the hotfix on a SmartX Server. The certificate is validated, and the PC can subsequently be used to install hotfixes on other SmartX Servers, even if you are offline. Solution 2 You can manually import certificates and CRL (Certificate Revocation List) Download and save the following files: http://s1.symcb.com/pca3-g5.crl http://sv.symcb.com/sv.crl If the above URL's are blocked by your browser please download them here or the attached ZIP file.  Start a command prompt (cmd.exe) as administrator. Browse to the folder where the files from step 1 are stored. Run the following commands: CertUtil -AddStore CA pca3-g5.crl CertUtil -AddStore CA sv.crl Export host, intermediate, and root certificates from the hotfix file. Install the 3 certificates with the default selection. Restart Device Administrator and install the hotfix. Video for step 5 and 6:

How to read individual bits from a Modbus Holding Register

Issue How to read individual bits from a Modbus Holding Register that holds a 16-Bit Word and represent each Bit as a separate Digital point Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Enterprise Server Building Operation Automation Server (AS, AS-P, AS-B) Modbus TCP/IP Modbus RTU (RS485) Cause There is a requirement for a Modbus Holding Register that is a 16-bit unsigned value, each bit represents a digital state in the Modbus device and to replicate this as 16 separate digital states in EBO. The 16-bit unsigned value is an integer with a range of 0 to 65,535 and needs to be converted into 16 digital values. Resolution Use a Modbus Digital Input point for each bit required. Each object will be configured to read the same Modbus register address, but with a different bitmask value applied prior to evaluating the value. For example: Read Modbus Holding Register 40123 with a value of 32769 (16-bit unsigned) and decode bits 0, 8, and 15 as three separate Digital points Since the actual Value of 32769 being read at address 40123 is shown in Binary as 1000000000000001 it can be seen that Bit 0 and Bit 15 should return TRUE while Bit 8 should return FALSE Configure each point as follows: Modbus Digital Input Point 40123 bit 0 Register number 123 Register type 16 bit unsigned Read function code 03 Bit mask - enable only Bit 0   Modbus Digital Input Point 40123 bit 8 Register number 123 Register type 16 bit unsigned Read function code 03 Bit mask - enable only Bit 8   Modbus Digital Input Point 40123 bit 15 Register number 123 Register type 16 bit unsigned Read function code 03 Bit mask - enable only Bit 15   Additional information can be found in the EcoStruxure Building Operation - Technical Reference Guide - Search for Bitmask.   If you need to break this bit information out for programming this can be done with a FB application and just binding the full 16 bits to the FB as shown here.

AS-P/B DHCP Server Configurability

Issue Webhelp and the Technical Reference Guide supply information for using the AS-P/B DHCP server option, however, a number of relevant questions have not been answered. Product Line EcoStruxture Building Operation Environment Building Operation Automation Server Premium (AS-P 0.62 hardware) Building Operation Automation Server Bundled (AS-B) Building Operation SmartX IP Multi-purpose Controller (MP-X) Building Operation SmartX IP Room Controller (RP-C) Building Operation SmartX Controller IP-IO Series Cause There are typically a number of options to configure DHCP servers, but since the DHCP server included with the AS-P/B is very basic and NOT configurable, it's important to understand which options are and are not available. Resolution Webhelp has some helpful information about the DHCP Server Options. The AS-P/Bs built-in DHCP server assigns unrouted IP addresses within the range of addresses from 10.110.210.2 to 10.110.210.254. This was developed to allow for a quick configuration of a private MP-X/RP-C network. The AS-P/B DHCP server can be disabled and another DHCP server can be used. Here is a list of other questions and answers that may come up based on typical options in other DHCP servers: Can the scope of the IP range be configured? There is no way to configure or limit the range of the standard IP address range or to have multiple scopes. Can IP exceptions be configured? There is no configuration option to prevent the AS-P/B DHCP server from assigning a specific IP address. The AS-P/B DHCP server is unaware of static IP addresses, so if a switch or other device has a static IP set in the 10.110.210.2 to 10.110.210.254 range, you run the risk of having the AS-P/B DHCP server assign an IP address twice which can cause a number of issues. Can a Default gateway be configured? Not configurable Can a Subnet mask be configured? Not configurable Is IP6 supported? No Can lease types be configured? No Can multiple DHCP servers be installed on the private LAN? No Should MP-X/RP-C IP level devices only be hosted within the private AS-P/B network? Most site IT departments prefer that the BAS networks be isolated, however, if the network switch (Not the AS-P/B) is used for assigning DHCP IP addresses, it could hand out addresses to the AS-P/B and the MP-X/RP-C devices if they are on the same subnet. A managed (RSTP Enabled) switch can reside as a client to the AS-P/B. This is due to how the Private DHCP option is advertised. On-site IT departments may not want the switch on the customer's LAN so it is placed in the private AS-P/B network. Does the AS-P/B DHCP server assign addresses to 3rd party devices? Yes, if the 3rd party device supports this. This would be a configurable option in the device.

BACnet Interface - Contains Unresolved BACnet Reference

Issue The BACnet Interface Contains a Yellow Exclamation Icon and when you hover over to read the tooltip it states, “Contains Unresolved BACnet Reference”. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment EcoStruxure Building Operation Building Operation Multi-Purpose Controller Building Operation Multi-purpose VAV Building Operation Room Controller Building Operation IP-IO Cause There is a reference misconfiguration within the “Time Synchronization Recipients” under the BACnet Interface. Resolution Select and highlight the BACnet Interface then select the Time Synchronization Recipients TAB Compare the list Names with the list to the left under the IP Network Tree. In this example, we can see that MPV-9A is not a controller within my database under the IP Network_2. Highlight/Select the controller under Time Synchronization recipients and edit the details by clicking on the pencil icon. Within the Time Synchronization Recipient screen, we want to adjust this device to match the ACTUAL device located under our IP Network_2 named MP-9A_Roof. Click on the “three dots|ellipsis “to browse to the correct Recipient device identifier. In this example: Select the BACnet Interface > IP Network_2 > MPV-9A_Roof as this is the correct path for this device. At this point, we have the correct path under the Recipient device object reference. Adjust the Recipient name to match the BACnet name you configured for that device. In this example, it was set to MPV-9A_Roof. TIP: Click the BACnet button to fill in the recipient name field with the BACnet name of the device referenced in the recipient device object reference field. Click OK. If this is the only device you need to modify then you can click the SAVE icon. If you have more devices to adjust, then you will repeat the process until you're done with all the devices. You have now resolved the reference errors against the BACnet Interface.

Embedded WebStation client license when logging directly into a SmartX server no longer needed

Issue Embedded WebStation client licenses were needed when logging directly into a SmartX server as of 3.0.1 but are no longer needed Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Webstation Building Operation SmartX Server Cause The license requirement is being removed due to market feedback. The quantity of direct web connections to the SmartX server is restricted by the Architectural Guidelines only. Resolution Important for version 4.0 (EBO 2022) and above:  Note that in Building Operation 2022 (v4.0.x) and above, WebStation licenses have now been enforced at the server level and are required.   If there is no embedded server license for example "XWSWXBU0000SD ASP Bundle - Standard" in the SpaceLogic server it will not be possible to login to the server using Webstation. The Webstation license is included in the embedded server license.   For version 3.0.x The change is available via a HotFix to version v3.0.3 and will be incorporated into Maintenance Release v3.0.4. In both the HotFix and the Maintenance Release, license status presentations in the Device Administrator and Control Panel will indicate the availability of 99 client licenses. However, the supported quantity of direct web connections to a single SmartX server is established by the Architectural Guidelines; currently, the maximum is five concurrent connections. In v3.1, the Device Administrator and Control Panel will not list client license availability at the SmartX server level since it is not constrained by licenses.
