Issue StruxureWare Building Operation Extended trend logs have an incorrect unit associated with the measured value. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment StruxureWare Building Operation 1.3.x Cause It is possible to create extended trend logs by selecting multiple trend logs and using the right click option to create extended trend logs. The software incorrectly associates all of the created trend logs with the first trend log object's associated unit even if the other trend logs in the selection use different units. Resolution The cause of the problem is resolved in a forthcoming release (1.4.0) however if the system is in the state currently additional steps must be taken. The method to resolve this problem depends on the need to maintain the existing extended trend log data or not. 1. Accept loss of data Delete the extended trend logs that have incorrect units and create each extended trend log individually and avoid multiple selections. 2. Avoid loss of data Export the trend logs in StruxureWare Workstation. Modify the export file and edit the unit value for the Extended trend log The unit will need to be validated with another export that contains an object of the correct unit type. Example of Units % - 0x200001 F - 0x280003 no unit - 0x10001 inH20 - 0x230005 ppm - 0x200002 kW - 0x3210001 Import the modified file and when it detects a naming conflict allow it to rename the Trend log with a "2" notification. Stop the data collection on the original trend logs and once the retention levels of the new trend logs meets your site requirements delete the old trend logs with the incorrect data. Please be aware this issue could impact meter reports from WebReports detailed in Energy Reports not working in 1.3 and earlier

Issue A script program uses a calculation of the difference between event marker DateTime and the current time to trigger an alarm flag. The alarm flag is initially set correctly but switches off again after 2147 seconds. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Automation Server Premium Version 3.2.2 Cause The result of the calculation Current Time - FailureTime returns a correct value until the difference exceeds 2147 seconds. At that point the calculation returns a negative value and begins counting upward toward zero. Resolution The Script program was broken.   Once the program was deleted and reimported the same script code consistently calculated an increased time differential. This behaviour is identical to a defect which was fixed in the EBO 3.0.4 release.  In that case it was the controller rather than the program that was at fault.

Issue Availability of SLC-82XX and SLC-83XX Environment Site with Single Loop Proportional Temperature Controller with Sensor Cause Obsolescence of the SLC-82XX and SLC-83XX Resolution The SLC-82xx and/or SLC-83xx are obsolete. These are old analog technology controllers which have been obsolete since January 01, 2011 There is no replacement for these items. The only suggestion would be to do a complete re-control with digital equipment. To do this one of Schneider Electric's Partners would need to visit the site to see what is needed to control the space. This would require new controllers, thermostats, actuators and other items. Since it is such a major re-control we do not have a single solution that will allow you to use some of the older equipment. Contact your Regional Manager in your area to provide a contact for the site upgrade.  The manual for the SLC-82xx and SLC-83xx is available here.

Issue A TGML graphic has been selected in the Attachments options of a Alarm and also been selected to "Display on Alarm" but does not auto display Environment StruxureWare Building Operation 1.3 and above Cause There are two reasons that can stop this functionality working. The alarm has already been triggered and not cleared from the alarm Queue. There is no Alarm View displayed in the users configuration. If you cannot see the alarm in the users workspace the Graphic page will not be displayed. In StruxureWare Building Operation 1.3 if using custom Alarm Views (i.e. not defined in the default workspaces) the Attached "Display on Alarm" does not function.  This is corrected in release 1.4.0.818 and above.  Resolution Check that the user has an alarm view visible within their login. An example of this is the default Workspace Administrator. In its default setting the Alarm Pane is not set to display. If you log in using the Engineering Workspace the Alarm Pane is displayed and the function works. Here is the two default workspaces that show the alarm pane option 1. Administration Workspace with the Alarm pane not set 2. Engineering Workspace with the Alarm pane set to be displayed   The alarm will also need to be returned to normal and acknowledged so it is not left in the alarm queue. The display on alarm function works on the alarm entering the alarm queue, if it is already present in the queue the display on alarm option will not work. StruxureWare Building Operation Release 1.4 Note: In StruxureWare Building Operation 1.3 if using custom Alarm Views (i.e. not defined in the default workspaces) the Attached "Display on Alarm" does not function.  This is corrected in release 1.4.0.818 and above. 

Issue When trying to connect to a Controller via FTP or Telnet the connection is failing even with known working usernames and passwords. Cannot ping controller after upgrade to 4.3.x Product Line EcoStruxure Security Expert Environment SP-C-Web SP-C SP-ACX SP-AC1 Cause When connecting with FTP via an application such as Filezilla the error 'Bad username/password' is returned. Via Telnet the error is simply 'Logon Incorrect' and the connection once again fails to complete    Resolution FTP and Telnet have been intentionally disabled on the Controllers for Cyber Security purposes and will not be possible to use from firmware version 2.08.1234.  Please see firmware release notes version 2.08.1234. As mentioned in the Controller firmware release notes version 2.08.1018, Ping is disabled by default and can be re-enabled via Controller Commands: EnablePing = true

Issue Unable to connect to the detected RPCs using Engage app v1.2.1 or later and RPC 3.02.01 Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Room Controller (RPC) (all types) v3.02.01 Building Operation Engage Application Cause EFR32 BLE chip needs to be upgraded to fw3.01.00.00012 but looking at the device report you see there is a Failure to upgrade EFR32 error. Resolution From workstation open the control panel and select the Firmware upgrade view. Right-click the RPC from the list of available SmartX controllers > Device> Upgrade Firmware>Select Device Firmware Select 3.01.02.00046 Firmware package Wait for the RPC to fully upgrade and return to an online state before going to the next step. This may take 6 to 9 mins which is normal. Right-click the RPC from the list of available SmartX controllers > Device> Upgrade Firmware>Select Device Firmware Select 3.02.01.00247 Firmware package Wait for the RPC to fully upgrade and return to an online state before going to the next step. This may take 6 to 9 mins which is normal Once the RPC is online Right Click the RPC > Device> Download All Objects If not upgraded in this order, the Bluetooth Chip isn't correctly upgraded and will fail.    

Issue What port is used for the Niagara R2 LON and Serial tunnel clients? Environment Niagara R2 Cause Want to modify network routers to allow port forwarding for tunneling Resolution The port used is the same port used as the UNC station. By default, the port is 80.  So, both tunnel clients also use port 80. If the station port is modified, the tunnel clients will use the new port number.

Issue I/A Series Micronet BACnet controllers firmware download Environment I/A Series Micronet BACnet (MNB) Controllers Cause The firmware for the MNB controllers is not available on the Extranet. Resolution The MNB controllers' firmware can be downloaded from The Exchange Download Center by searching for MNB firmware.

Issue There is a need to be able to display pdf files from within a webpinpoint graphic Environment Webclient Windows XP Windows 7 Windows Server 2003 Windows Server 2008 Cause instructions to open a pdf file with webpinpoint Resolution Within a graphic in Cyber Pinpoint, add a Windows Control> Web Browser object Edit the object and go to object properties and select the .pdf to display (Change the file type drop down to all files from .htm)  It is recommended to place the pdf files in C:\program files\Continuum\NewGraphicsFiles for permissions reasons.  Once that object has been selected, it can be saved and run in Cyber Pinpoint The same object will open up webpinpoint and the pdf will display.

Issue Can't receive "Power Factor" values from ABB's M-bus meters. Environment Xenta 913 Xenta 701 Xenta 711 Xenta 721 Xenta 731 Cause Earlier versions of X700/ X913 system software did not support M-bus manufacturer specific data that contains extra status information in the VIFE Resolution For Xenta 700, there is a hotfix for v5.1.8 that adds support for this type (also included in v5.1.9 and later) . For Xenta 913, v5.1.9 and later includes this hotfix.

Issue Is editing an exported XML file supported? Receive errors when attempting to import (a modified) exported XML file. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment StruxureWare Building Operation Export / Import  Cause There is minimal error checking on the import so errors could get through and cause problems further down the line and corrupt the database. Resolution Edited exported XML files is not supported and there is no documentation on how to properly edit exported files. This practice should not be attempted.   With 1.5 will comes Project Configuration Server (PCS) and the ability for the businesses to create their own country specific applications and mass create engineering tools. In a future release (currently indicated in 1.6) support for using the Backup and Restore feature to duplicate entire Automation Server databases will be available.  For now both these functions are not supported.  Refer to Do NOT use Backup and Restore to duplicate Automation Server databases! (1.5 and below).

Issue Content Types are not working correctly. A Content Type that was just created appears under the ES but not under the AS in which it was created in. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Enterprise Server Building Operation Workstation Building Operation Automation Server Premium Building Operation Software 1.9 or greater Cause Problems with or changes to the network configuration are affecting both the function and the lead shadow relationship of Content Types. Issue SmartX Living Space Sensor Touchscreen SXWSCDXSELXX display has a background color indication for the "Heating cooling status" setting in Workstation, but the Heat/Cool/Off colors Red/Blue/White are very faint and it is nearly impossible to tell them apart. The colors are a bit better when viewed from an angle, but when looking straight at the display they are very faint. The photos below show the states Cool (Blue), Heat (Red) and Off (White) in that order from left to right.       Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation SmartX Living Space Sensor Cause Low color quality of the SmartX Living Space Sensor Touchscreen SXWSCDXSELXX display. Resolution This is a hardware limitation in the current version of the touchscreen display SXWSCDXSELXX. The issue will be resolved in a coming release of the display.

Issue Unable to Import/Export objects from/to a Multi Purpose Manager (MPM) Environment SmartStruxure Lite Multi-Purpose Manager Cause The “save to file” button cannot be activated after clicking on “prepare data”.     Resolution The browser being used needs to have Adobe Flash Player plug-in installed. Check if flash player is installed on your computer using the link below. The latest version of Flash Player can also be downloaded from the same page. http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html

Issue Some connectors appear in red on the Workplace Tech Visio drawing.  Connectors cannot be bound to objects. Product Line TAC IA Series, EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment I/A Series WorkPlace Tech Building Operation Workstation (Workplace Tech Editor) Microsoft Visio  Cause Drawing objects become placed off the normal boundaries of the Visio drawing page causing file corruption.  This can occur during improper file saves, Visio crashes or for unknown reasons. Resolution

Issue Lua Program for measuring EnOcean Signal Strength Product Line EcoStruxure Building Expert Environment SmartStruxure Lite Cause Requirement to measure and alarm from the EnOcean Signal strength. Resolution Download either the txt file or c2g import file. The file is set to monitor 3 EnOcean devices, either copy the relevant sections to add more devices, or remove to reduce the number of devices. An AV is required for each EnOcean Device. In the Lua program, edit the EnOcean Device ID, this can be found in the "EnOcean Device Configuration" properties. In the Lua program, edit the AVs to those that are to be used. Edit the AV and add the ID in the description and any other description required. How the Lua program works: The Lua script is set to assign each AV an abnormal value (10000) after a time period in (3600) seconds. The EnOcean device will overwrite via the program the value in the AV when a value is received from the device. For an alarm, create an Event, set the high limit (9999) and a time period set to a value beyond that a signal is received from the EnOcean device. Set the low limit to -200. Notes: EnOcean devices send packets at varying times, some at change of state. The timer needs to reflect how often a packet is sent. Several Lua programs may need to be used and the EnOcean devices grouped with similar packet broadcast times. e.g. an infrequently used switch would be different to a temperature sensor.

Issue Upgrading Visio. Should WorkPlace Tech be uninstalled first? Product Line TAC IA Series Environment I/A Series WorkPlace Tech Cause Software upgrade Resolution Un-install both WorkPlace Tech and Visio.  Then install Visio following the instructionsWorkPlace Tech Installationand Workplace Tech 5.10.4 Release Notes 

Issue Since the IP address scheme for the site had been changed, trying to start a Webclient session results in 400 bad request error in the browser session. There are no issues when accessing Webclient on the Webserver. Environment WebClient IIS Cause Default Website in IIS is configured with the old IP address. Resolution Set the new IP address in the Properties of the Default Website. Then stop and restart IIS.

Issue What is the maximum size Card Number and Facility Code Number supported by Security Expert? Product Line EcoStruxure Security Expert Environment Security Expert Controller Security Expert Smartcard Reader Cause Adding a card to one of the Card number slots on the General tab of a User page allows for a maximum of a ten-digit facility code and ten-digit card number. Resolution The currently supported size of the Facility/Card number allows a maximum of a ten-digit facility code and ten-digit card number as can be seen below.  Facility/Card Number This Facility/Card number is entered when adding a credential to a User on the General tab of the User page. The size of the allowable facility code and card number can be increased beyond ten-digits by using Credential Types instead. Once the Credential Type has been created, it can then be used in the CREDENTIALS section for those users. Issue CE Declaration of Conformity Certificate for manufactured cables for interconnecting EBO modules. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Cabling Cause No CE Declaration of Conformity available for the SXWSCABLE10001 and SXWSCABLE10002 that connects EcoStruxure Building Operation AS-P and IO modules when fitted for example: when modules need to be mounted on separate DIN rails. Resolution CE Declaration of Conformity certificate is not required for an item e.g. premanufactured interconnecting wiring that has no functionality or is inert to the operation of the system.  Europe – CE Marking In general, CE Marking Directives are aimed at products, not at components, although there are some exceptions. Wire and cable products are one of those exceptions that stand out. On its own, wire or cable has no defined use or application, in that it must be built into something to be useful.
