"Invalid license key (inconsistent authentication code)" taclic vendor daemon error

Issue In TAC Vista 5.1.9 when trying to lock a license file to an end user dongle, the taclic vendor daemon starts briefly, but then stops again and you see the error "Invalid license key (inconsistent authentication code)" in the taclic.log file. Usually you only see that message if the license file has been tampered with. 8:48:28 (taclic) Invalid license key (inconsistent authentication code) 8:48:28 (taclic) ==>INCREMENT Menta.View taclic 5.1 permanent 1 ISSUER=TAC \ ISSUED=30-may-2014 BORROW NOTICE=3424672 \ SN=FID__47eba299_146164ca427__7ec5 SIGN="13DC 795D AF25 E8ED \ D6EG 7BAA 8495 2ED7 B4B0 F6E4 EDD8 C3C1 6EAE 2BF0 598D 0759 \ AE4A 3C9E 391C A6ED B313 9971 369A 349C 8671 E194 2E42 E2DC \ 8A9A 7905" Product Line TAC Vista Environment TAC Vista 5.1.9 License Server Cause An issue has been detected in TAC Vista 5.1.9 when locking a license file to an end user dongle. You see the error "Invalid license key (inconsistent authentication code)" in the taclic.log file. The error is located in the taclic.exe file. Resolution Contact PSS for a permanent hotfix for this issue, or download it from Exchange Download Center.  Work around 1: Lock the license to the MAC address of the PC Follow Rehosting a Vista 5 License on the FlexNet License Server to rehost a license file to a MAC address.  Work around 2: Use a previous version of the taclic.exe file Access a PC having a previous version of the license server installed Locate the file "taclic.exe" and copy it - it's normally located in the TAC Vista installation folder under "License Server" Stop the license server on the PC having TAC Vista 5.1.9 installed Rename the original taclic.exe file to taclic_11.12.exe Paste the "taclic.exe" file you copied into the folder Start the license again  In general when working with the license system on TAC Vista versions from 5.1.8 and above, this utility can come in handy: TACLicenseServer Settings.

Techniques to debug Plain English programs

Issue Use of the Plain English programming environment and general Plain English programming is covered in the Training courses, what other techniques can be used to debug a program. Product Line Andover Continuum Environment Plain English Integrated Development Environment Cause Often additional techniques are required to debug Plain English, especially when attempting to analyze, modify or fault find other peoples code. Resolution Some techniques you can use for debugging your program and isolate problems are: Add in additional line labels to the program to isolate where the program is disabling or failing, if it disables you will be able to see the "CurrentLine" it has failed on and therefore know which line of code is causing the problem. Even if a program does not disable you can use the "Stop" keyword in the program it will act as a break in the code and you can look at the values of the various variables, that should tell you what value could be at 0. Use the Watch window to show the values of the various objects, when used with the above 2 techniques it allows you to accurately trace a program flow. Temporarily create local variables as actual points and comment them out from the assignment at the top of the program, this allows you to use the Watch window to see the points values. Revert them back to local objects when debugging is complete. Ensure none of the Program size limitations as defined in Plain English program limitations on number of characters in program and line labels are exceeded.

Using a Dot Matrix Printer as an Alarm Printer with Sigma on Windows 7

Issue The Epson LQ-300+ II dot matrix printer fails to print alarms correctly when configured with Sigma on Windows 7. Alarms are spooled but not printed unless manual changes are made in Sigma's Alarm Manager. Product Line Satchwell BAS & Sigma Environment Epson LQ-300+ II Satchwell Sigma Windows 7 64-bit Cause When the printer is set to Continuous Print, Sigma spools the alarms, but the printer does not initiate printing. This issue is linked to driver compatibility and printer configuration settings. Resolution To resolve the issue and enable reliable alarm printing: Remove Existing Printer Configuration Go to Devices and Printers. Remove the Epson LQ-300+ II printer. Reinstall the Printer Use Add Printer to reinstall. Important: Use the Windows XP 32-bit driver from the original CD. Do not use the Windows 7 driver, as it causes compatibility issues. Configure Printer Settings Go to Printer Properties > Advanced tab. Set Print Processor to: Raw [FF auto] . Set the printer to Spool directly to the printer. Choose appropriate paper type: Fanfold or A4. Clean Up Sigma Configuration Shut down Sigma Client and Sigma Server. Navigate to C:\sigma\data and delete the file: printerconfigs nn.rec . This removes outdated printer references and avoids confusion. Reassign Printer in Sigma Restart Sigma Server and Sigma Client. In Alarm Manager, highlight and reassign the printer. Set to Continuous Print. Tick the LF (Line Feed) and CR (Carriage Return) boxes. Additional Notes The printer name may appear slightly different after reinstalling with the XP driver.

Continuum Reports Suite installation issues

Issue Continuum Reports Suite installation issues. Example error message could be: "Unrecoverable Error!" "Alias 'CURRENT3' is not found" "Method: ALARMEVENTS.RUN_REPORT_BTN.CLICK" Product Line Andover Continuum Environment Continuum Reports Suite Cause Problems with installing and running the Report Suite Resolution When editing the "Continuum_Reports.dmp" file using Notepad.exe, WordWrap must be unchecked!  Unfortunately, opening "Continuum_Reports.dmp" and unchecking WordWrap is not enough!  When WordWrap is checked, you must uncheck and Exit Notepad.  Then Open "Continuum_Reports.dmp", edit and SAVE AS.  When WordWrap is enabled and changes are made, after you Save and reopen the file, you will notice that is corrupt and all the PE Codes is scrunched into one enormous line, instead of 550+ lines. Alternatively use a different editor, eg. Metapad or Notepad++ If after editing and importing "Continuum_Reports.dmp", you discover there is no Plain English code or the Programs run, but are stuck on "Init", or other PE import / run issues, this is the result of incorrectly performing the Replacement of the workstation Folder Name.  When the Workstation Folder name and Workstation Name is correctly replaced, the PE programs will import and run properly. After installing Continuum Reports, you should confirm that the installation directory, "C:\Program Files\Continuum_Reports" has Modify privilege enabled for all "Workstation Users". After a Continuum Reports run-time error, run the Windows Task Manager and confirm that the "Reports.exe" Process does not exist.  If it exists, End the Process. If Continuum Reports does not exit normally, temp files will be orphaned in the C:\Program Files\Continuum_Reports\Data directory.  Although orphaned Temp Files do not affect Continuum Reports operation, they occupy disk space.  Temp files have an underscore ("_") as the first character.  To remove orphaned temp files, make sure Reports.exe is not running and CAREFULLY delete those files that have an underscore ("_") as the first character. Continuum Reports needs to be installed using the Setup Application. The Setup Application needs to be run on every workstation and configuration administered locally. Before you install Continuum Reports, the current version must be uninstalled.  Typically, uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't solve any problems.  But when this is done, make sure to delete the directory C:\Program Files\Continuum_Reports\DATA before reinstalling Continuum Reports. Continuum Reports remembers the Continuum Database access parameters, including Server Name, SQL Username and Password.  After installing Continuum Reports, you will need to run "Reset_Password.bat" if the Continuum Database name is not "ContinuumDB", or if appears that Continuum Reports is not accessing the correct database. If the Multi-Facility Report Data Partitioning has been used (17.2e onwards) the Revision Level in the upper right hand corner of the window is Red.  This indicates that Restrictions were enabled.  Therefore the whole database may not be queried. See "Continuum Reports Multi-Facility Report Data Partitioning Administration Guide" It is worth setting a default printer even if one does not exist. (use a PDF printer) If the default printer gets set to say a card printer, it can affect the output of the reports suite See the link below for all software and guides, always read, as required ReadMe.txt Upgradedoc.txt Continuum Reports Installation Guide Rev x.x.pdf @ Upgrade - Installation Instructions.pdf https://ecoxpert.se.com/search#keyword/Coe/tab/documents If you have other queries please contact COE.Support@Buildings.Schneider-Electric.com

Niagara G3 (AX) Station Save and Backup Station

Issue In a Niagara G3 station, what is the difference between a Station Save and Backup Station? Product Line TAC IA Series Environment Niagara G3 (AX) Jace/ENC Niagara G3 (AX) Enterprise Server (ENS)  Cause Help determine which feature (Station Save and Backup Station) meet the requirement. Resolution A Station Save only saves the config.bog file to the local device (if an ENC, it will save the file on the ENC; if an ENS, it will save it on the ENS computer).  The Backup Station function performs a complete backup of the connected ENC or ENS station, saved as a dist file on the Workbench computer. The backup dist contains the entire station folder plus the specific NRE config used by that ENC or ENS platform, including license(s) and certificate(s). The dist also contains pointers to the appropriate NRE core, Java VM, modules, and OS. If ever needed, you can restore a backup dist using the platform Distribution File Installer view. The backup dist file also contains the TCP/IP configuration of the host when it is backed up. When restoring the backup, the choice to restore these settings, or retain the TCP/IP settings currently in use by the target host is available.

Access Expert Leave Early Schedule Card Only Configuration

Issue Schedule a meeting on a day when the site will be closed early. Steps are needed to ensure a door can be configured for 'card only' mode for the meeting. Product Line EcoStruxure Access Expert Environment Access Expert Hosted V3 Cause At times it's necessary to schedule a meeting on a day when the site will be closed early. Steps are needed to ensure a door can be configured for 'card only' mode for the meeting and then revert back to the normal schedule or extend the meeting until the end of the standard schedule. Resolution Steps to configure a door(s) with a schedule using holidays and 2 T&Ps to temporarily place the door in Card Only mode and then revert back to the standard schedule. In this example, the standard schedule Unlocks the door from 8a-5p.   Create a Holiday (Early Meeting) for the meeting date and ensure a Holiday Group Membership is selected Configure a schedule(Leave Early) for the meeting date(s) and length of the meeting. Select the Holiday Group in this example named 'Early Meeting Test' in the far right drop-down. The Holiday Group is needed for this to work. Note: The short-duration example was used while testing this multiple times a day. Configure a T&P (Early Meeting TP) to temporarily change the reader mode to 'Card Only' using the schedule (Leave Early). Select the Leave Early schedule and the 'Schedule-Became-Active' Event, the reader mode and the reader(s). The "Indefinite" duration drop-down selection worked. The other drop-down options did not work for this schedule implementation. Configure a T&P (Early Meeting Cancel) to cancel the Temporary Reader mode and revert control back to the standard schedule and to Unlock the door. Select the Leave Early schedule and the 'Schedule-Became-Inactive' Event, the reader mode and the reader(s). Extend the meeting to the end of the standard schedule if needed to keep it in card-only mode. Testing Results: At 3:55p the Leave Early meeting schedule became active and the TP changed the reader mode to card only. * Please disregard the Door held open highlights in the following snapshots At 4:00p the Leave Early meeting schedule became inactive and the TP canceled the temporary reader mode. The door Unlocked in this example after control was handed back to the standard schedule.

Using a VPN with I/A Series Niagara G3 Systems

Issue Using a VPN with I/A Series Niagara Systems Product Line TAC IA Series Environment I/A Series Systems Cause A VPN's purpose is to provide a secure and reliable private connection between computer networks over an existing public network, typically the Internet. Resolution What is a VPN? "Virtual Private Network" or VPN is a mechanism to extend a private network across a public network such as the Internet. A VPN creates a point-to-point connection or "tunnel" across the Internet between two computers. The tunnel encrypts the data between VPN endpoints, preventing data from being deciphered without the required encryption keys. Why use a VPN? VPN provides an additional layer of security to your Niagara system without compromising your ability to access Niagara. A VPN can help protect your Niagara system from Internet-based attacks by requiring an additional layer of authentication to access Niagara resources. It can prevent automated Internet port scan tools from detecting the Niagara system. How can I set up a VPN? The following document describes how to use an Internet Security Gateway to provide VPN access to your ENC/JACE.  Click on the link to download Using a VPN with Niagara Systems for more details. In addition, the document describes setting up a VPN using a ZyWALL gateway.  The ZyWALL USG-20 unified security gateway (from ZyXEL) is a cost-effective device that you can add to an existing installation to provide VPN server capability. IMPORTANT NOTE: The information in this document is based on the assumption that the only IP devices on the network are Niagara devices. If Niagara devices share a network with other devices (such as a corporate LAN), DO NOT follow the approach described in the following pages. Instead, work with the customer’s IT department to determine the best method to protect both the Niagara and corporate systems while providing required access to the Niagara systems. In any scenario, if the VPN is installed or configured improperly, you can expose devices to the public Internet. If you are unsure about how to best configure and test your configuration, please consult an IT expert. Frequently Asked Questions I already use SSL, do I still need to use a VPN? The use of a VPN is still recommended as an additional layer of security. Attacks can come from both inside and outside of your network. Once I set up a VPN, do I still need to use SSL? Yes. The VPN only provides encryption between the VPN endpoints – the VPN client and server. Traffic from the VPN endpoint to and from the Niagara Station is not encrypted unless SSL is used. I’m running AX 3.6 or earlier without SSL support – should I still install a VPN? Yes. The VPN still helps protect against Internet-based attacks on your system. Do I still need a firewall? Yes. You should set up firewall rules to restrict Internet access to the VPN server port only. You should also consider setting up rules with the VPN server to restrict VPN access to only the required IP addresses and ports. For example, there may be non-Niagara devices on the LAN, but the VPN should be configured to only allow access to the Niagara systems. Additionally, you should only allow access to required Niagara services. Will a VPN affect LAN access to ENC/JACEs? No. LAN access to the Niagara devices remains the same as always. VPN only affects the ability to reach Niagara devices from external networks such as the Internet. If I use a VPN, will Niagara HTTP, Fox, and Platform tunneling work? Tunneling works normally over a VPN. You will need to update IP address assignments. What is the impact of VPN on Niagara Networking? Niagara Networking between systems on the LAN still functions the same whether or not there is a VPN installed. When I connect to a VPN, do I lose all other network connectivity? While your VPN client is connected to the remote VPN network, your Workbench (client) PC will have a new "Default Gateway" to allow you to make connections to stations on the VPN network. Typically, this happens without your knowledge and is mostly transparent. The change is undone after disconnecting from the VPN, and re-done when you reconnect. However (while you are connected to the VPN network) if your Workbench (client) PC tries to connect to sites on the [public] Internet or any other network through any router, you will find that you cannot reach those sites. If you must be able to reach those sites while connected to the VPN network, you will need to add static routes (temporary or permanent) to your Workbench PC’s TCP/IP configuration. The setting of those routes is beyond the scope of this document because they are specific to your PC’s network, your VPN network, and any other networks you try to reach. It is possible (but unlikely) that you cannot resolve these routing issues. This may happen if one or more of these networks have overlapping addresses. Consult with a TCP/IP expert if necessary. Likewise, if you use L2TP, PPOE, PPTP, or PPP for any part of your underlying network connection, the VPN client will probably conflict with it. Specifically, Windows only allows one connection of these four protocol types to be active at any given time. What is the impact on Single Sign On? You will need to define the SSO Domain and the hosts of the SSO Domain in your Workbench PC’s "hosts" file or default DNS server. The DNS server of the VPN will not be able to provide name services without changing your Workbench PC’s TCP/IP configuration. I use Dynamic DNS, can I still use a dynamic DNS provider with VPN? Yes. You will need to register the IP address of the VPN gateway and firewall with the DDNS provider. What is the impact of VPN on my system performance? Impact on performance should be minimal. It does take a little longer to set up the connection. References: Microsoft TechNet VPN Overview

How to Troubleshoot on DBCreate

Issue After installed I/NET, DBCreate will never pop up to create a new database, which will cause I/NET never launches. Backup and Restore button are greyed out when opening DBCreate, which also will cause I/NET fails to launch. When restoring database, an error will show up, saying that version is incompatible with this server. When restoring the database, an access deny error will show up. Unable to create a backup of an I/NET Seven Database using DBCreate, gets a backup failed error. When restoring I/NET database backup from another server in DBcreate, it shows an error: Error dropping PRIMARY KEY 'PK_DvrServers': Could not allocate space for object 'sys.sysserefs'.'clust' in database 'InetDb' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full. Create disk space by deleting unneeded files, dropping objects in the filegroup, adding additional files to the filegroup, or setting autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation, TAC INET Environment I/NET Cause SQL default instance is not created correctly. SQL2005 BCM is not installed correctly if SQL2008 is used, or there is a database version mismatch for I/NET. This is usually caused by restoring new SQL database to old version or under different kind of Operation Systems (like restoring a 64 bit database to a 32bit SQL server). Windows permissions are not enough to do the restoring Functionality of the host pc and the database seems to be inconsistent. If the database size limit is reached, I/NET database will fail to update. The backup of the database will be fine, but when trying to restore onto another computer, it will also fail. Resolution If you are using I/NET 2.4x, and already have a named SQL instance on the computer (for example, TAC Vista 5.1.7 or higher has been installed, with a named instance installed called TACVista), I/NET may fail to recognize it, while also fail to create a default instance. Similar kind of warning will pop up during the I/NET installation: Under this condition, use your current SQL server installer or browse to /SQLExpress folder of I/NET installation CD, to manually create a new default instance. You can refer to the guide within the /SQLExpress folder about how to create it. As long as the default instance is created, DBCreate will pop up immediately and a new database can be created. If 64 bit Operation System is used, refer to Installing I/NET Seven on a 64-bit operating system for the detailed guide. Also refer to Installation guidelines for installing I/NET and Vista on the same PC for more details about installing I/NET and TAC Vista on one computer. If SQL 2008 or SQL 2008 R2 is used, be sure to follow the correct steps about how to install them: I/NET Seven with SQL 2008: I/NET Seven with SQL 2008 Installing I/NET Seven on a 64-bit operating system: Installing I/NET Seven 2.42 or higher on a 64-bit operating system If SQL 2008 is installed correctly, please refer to Data Base maintenance before performing an upgradeto perform a forced upgrade for the database. Refer to Incompatible SQL Server Version error when Restoring I/NET Database in DBCreate: Incompatible SQL Server Version error when Restoring I/NET Database in DBCreate Refer to DBCreate backup access denied using Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard and Microsoft SQL 2008 R2: DBCreate backup access denied using Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard & Microsoft SQL 2008 R2. Refer to Unable to Create a backup in DBCreate: Unable to Create a backup in DBCreate. Refer to Fail to Restore the Backup from I/NET with SQL Database Size Limit is Reached: Fail to Restore the Backup from I/NET with SQL Database Size Limit is Reached.

'Locking Down' Chrome and Webstation in EBO 2.0 for SmartX Advanced Displays

Issue Using Chrome and Webstation in EBO 2.0 for SmartX Advanced Displays generates an interface which is more open and less restrictive than the original Buildings Operation Technician's Tool it replaces. While this is a benefit, some users may require to have a 'Locked Down' interface Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation Advanced Display 2.0 and above Cause The Technician's Tool app on the SmartX Advanced Display was a separate purpose-built tool which was just designed for accessing SmartX Servers only, While Webstation, in this case is using Chrome has been recently updated for use on PCs Tablets and Smart Phones in general as well as the SmartX Displays.  It is therefore a much more open interface with the opportunity of accessing the EBO System Tree as well as other Chrome tabs for Google, news and weather etc. Resolution By default, Webstation 2.0 includes a System Tree for easier navigation and the latest version of SmartX Kiosk now includes a Chrome shortcut, designed to be used instead of the old Technician's Tool (which can now be uninstalled in EBO 2.0 installations).  The shortcut can open Webstation as one of multiple Chrome tabs as designed.  While the System Tree and extra tabs should be seen as helpful features, some users may still wish to simplify the SmartX display as much as possible, removing as many menus and tabs as possible to maximise screen size and continue the look of the older Technician's Tool.  To achieve this a couple of minor changes will need to be made. Firstly, the System Tree within Webstation can be hidden altogether, this will reduce system navigation but will also free up a portion of the screen. Secondly, creating a specific shortcut to Webstation 2.0, rather than using the standard Chrome shortcut removes the additional tabs. The new shortcut is added to the tablet's Home Screen but it also appears in Kiosk Mode. 1) Ensure the AD-Link is connected. 2) Open up the Chrome shortcut. 3) Connect to the pseudo IP address to connect via USB. 4) Log in using the same Username and Password as usual. 5) Select the Webstation menu icon. 6) De-select System Tree and then close via menu icon. This will then ensure the System Tree is no longer shown when logging into Webstation. 7) Access the Chrome Settings Menu 😎 Select the option to 'Add to Page to the Home Screen. This will then add a shortcut for Webstation to the tablet's Home Screen and will also appear in the SmartX Kiosk Home Screen. Using this shortcut instead of the standard Chrome shortcut will then open the Webstation in future without additional Chrome tabs or menu bars. Whenever you connect, menu pages and System Trees are now removed allowing the object selected to take up the maximum screen space.

BACnet Multistate not shown correctly on graphics

Issue BACnet Multistate is showing the numeric value of the selection, instead of displaying the text associated with that selection. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment TGML Graphic BACnet multi-state-value Cause If BACnet multi-state-value text values are required to be shown on a graphic, rather than the integer value, then  the DynamicText option is needed to be used rather than DynamicValue option when creating the graphic. Resolution Below shows what happens when you use DynamicValue for a MultiState Bacnet points Below shows what happens when you use DynamicText for a MultiState Bacnet points NOTES 1. If WebStation still shows only the Integer value rather than the correct text, it may be network routing/firewall related. In this case check the WebStation graphics from different addresses and test direct to the AS and logged on via the ES to gain a better understanding of the issue 2. Graphics can be created using translation/substitution, this may be a workaround, if the network routing/firewall cannot be adjusted

Ensure proper network biasing on a BACnet MS/TP network

Issue All MNB devices under the UNC-520 are offline and not communicating. Product Line TAC IA Series Environment MNB controllers connected to UNC-520 RS-485 port Cause The MNB-300 and MNB-1000 bias resistors (jumpers label 'MS BIAS') should be disabled by default as indicated in their respective documentation. However, it appears that the MNB-1000 bias resistors are coming enabled. As a requirement of EIA-485 network topology, an MS/TP network must have at least one set, and no more than two sets, of network bias resistors on each MS/TP network segment, preferably (but not required to be) in the middle of the segment. In MS/TP networks, this requires an MNB-300, MNB-1000, or UNC-520 with the appropriate jumper settings. UNC-520 bias resistors on its RS-485 ports are enabled by default. Resolution Ensure that no more than 2 sets of bias are enabled on the MS/TP segment. The bias on the UNC-520 is enabled by default and as such, there should not be more than 1 MNB controller with its bias resistors set enabled on the BACnet MS/TP segment. Refer to page 71 of the document ‘F-27360 IA Series Micronet BACnet Wiring, Networking and Best Practices Guide’ for further information. Also refer to Enabling MSTP bias resistors on a MNB-1000.

Xenta 527 considerations when used with TAC Vista and I/NET

Issue What are the limitations of the Xenta 527 when used with TAC Vista and I/NET. What do I need to consider when integrating I/NET with TAC Vista. Product Line TAC INET, TAC Vista Environment TAC I/NET TAC Vista 5.1.6 and above TAC XBuilder TAC Xenta Server 527 5.1.6 and above I2V Cause Integrating I/NET into Vista. Resolution Below are a few considerations associated with the Xenta 527 Server that may assist when integrating existing I/NET systems with TAC Vista: As in all case the latest versions of both hardware and software should be used on any integration project. The attached datasheet indicates that the TAC Xenta 527 Web Server has been tested with up to 1000 I/NET points, if you require to integrate more points than this it is then recommended to add additional Xenta Servers to cater for this.  You may also consider segregating your I/NET System to improve performance. Currently it is not possible to pick and choose which points are imported into the XBuilder project, it can only be limited to which SAV file (or controller) is imported . Note: Each I/NET point type, as shown below, creates the following number of TAC Vista objects - these include; Alarm, State, Value, Control, Test, Manual, Alarm_ack etc, and vary according to the point type used. I/NET Point Type Number of TAC Vista Objects created DO 14 AO 11 AI 10 PI 10 DI 11 DA 11     The impact to consider here is the time it takes when adding or modifying your Xbuilder Project. This usually means that importing a large number of SAV files will cause the Vista server to get extremely busy creating / importing all of these objects.  It is best to let the process complete before selecting any other window.  Note that the total number of objects created during the import of the I/NET points is not counted as part of the 'tested' 1000 point limit stated in the above datasheet. This is a separate consideration. Network performance can be affected when a large number of connection objects are in use (so direct transfers between I/NET and Vista). There is no documented limitation, but the recommendation is not to exceed 300 connection objects per Xenta 527 Server.  For information on what the effects a connection object on the I/NET controller LAN has and how to calculate this, refer to Connection Objects in Xenta Server effect on I/NET system. Engineering of any I/NET feature apart from Point Control, Trends, Time Schedule and Alarm Configuration can only be done using the I/NET Host Tool or via an I/NET workstation.  Access to these features are via the Xenta 527 web server feature, so pages appear as HTML pages within TAC Vista, this will have a different look and feel to both Vista and I/NET users.   Other Knowledge Base Articles as listed below are also available to assist on integrating I/NET and Vista: Unit conversions when integrating LON to I/NET Vista to I/NET Integration Tips    Decoding the I/NET signal "flags" attribute Viewing I/NET Point Names in Vista Workstation instead of Addresses User Defined Units on I2V integration were accidentally set incorrectly SQL Host not passing data to Xenta 527 Web Server
