Sequence zero does not run when power is restored to a Micro Regulator (MR)

Issue Sequence zero does not run when power is restored to the Micro Regulators (MR). The MRI is on a UPS in another part of the building and never loses power. Product Line TAC INET Environment MicroRegulator (MR) SubLAN devices MicroRegulator Interface (MRI) Controller LAN Interface Cause By design, sequences are stored in the MRI. Sub-LAN controllers do not store sequences. Resolution Sequence zero is designed to trigger the power restore event (Sequence 0) in the event of the Interface (MRI) power failure being restored, hence the MR will not trigger this sequence 0 in the MRI.  The action is correct.

Issue I never reset the "Sync" LED on the FOI after I corrected the line fault on the output of the CRR. Will this cause any communication problems? Environment I/NET CRR Cause Line Fault Resolution Reset the sync LED If you can NOT extinguish the Sync LED you should find the fault. Leaving this light “on” does not cause communication problems.

Issue ADAA problems: can not dial in or out of the site A PCU is set up as a 06 TAP. The RX and TX LEDs are flashing on the RS-232 card. A CBL048 cable is connected from the RS-232 card to the modem. The RD and SD lights are flashing. Environment ADAA Cause The wrong BIN file is in the PCU. Resolution You have the wrong BIN file in the PCU. If the PCU is at the “Boot State”, you may have the wrong EPROM too. Install the correct BIN file; and it is strongly recommend to put in a compatible Asynchronous EPROM.

This may cause the AC relays to “chatter” or not work at all. It is recommended to use a P8UI8DO at the expansion board or place DC powered, form “C” contacts, pilot relays on the outputs of the PCU. Refer to TCON106 for more details.

If you delete the Special day while it is running you will get denied entry. Resolution Do not Delete special Day schedules on special days Modify the special day schedule to match the desired access control results. On the next non-special day, Delete the schedule If you have already deleted the special Day or special Schedule Option A - Delete the special day from the Host and the Controller     Perform a station restore to force the controller to use the current programming Option B - Determine which special day schedule type the controller is operating on Modify or create a schedule for that special day with the desired access privileges On the next non-special business day, enter the desired programming for special days.

Issue Does Configuration Server for an i.Lon 1000 have to be running all of the time? Environment i.LON 1000 Cause The Config Server provides the path for communication to the iLon when used as an RNI. Resolution If using the i.Lon 1000 as an RNI to communicate with the LonWorks network, then the Config Server must be open.   If the i.Lon 1000 is being used as a router (not RNI), it is not necessary to have Config Server running unless you are in the configuration process for the router.

Issue When connecting the RoamIO-2 service tool directly to a standalone BACnet b3 controller which is not connected to the MSTP network yet, the RoamIO-2 does not show the b3 controller on the screen. Environment RoamIO-2 Continuum SmartStruxure BACnet b3 controller Cause By default, the View option of the ROAMIO2 Bacnet Service Tool is set to view "By Network".  Resolution Connect the RoamIO2 service tool directly to the b3's service port. Launch the BACnet Service Tool and in the 'View' menu de-select 'By Networks' and 'BACnet Only' menu entries. Click the green icon to connect. Now, it will show the b3 controller in the service tool.

Issue Is it possible to have multiple Xenta 901 controllers from multiple sites in a single LNS network and access the remote sites as needed? This would leave any controllers not connected offline. Environment TAC Xenta 901 LNS Network Cause TAC Xenta 901 is an "LTA" and in TAC Vista there can only be one per LonWorks network. Resolution Create one LNS database per TAC Xenta 901. You can have up to 240 TAC Xenta 901 networks per TAC Vista Server (all can dial up the same TAC Vista Modem(s)). Add another TAC Vista Server if you need more dial up connections.

Issue PCU Analog Outputs to transducers do not have consistent performance. The first voltage-to-pneumatic transducers installed worked fine. Additional transducers have been added; and now, none of the transducers operate properly. Environment PCU Voltage-to-Pneumatic transducers Cause The amperage or power draw limitations of the PCU have most likely been exceeded. Resolution Sum up the total current and / or power draw of all the transducers and compare this to the maximum current or power output of the PCU. Reduce the number of transducers to stay within the limitations.

MR 160 resets every minute

Issue MR 160 resets every minute. It is the only sub-LAN controller resetting. Replacing the hardware has no effect on the resetting issue. Environment MR160 Cause Station conflicts can cause this behavior. The MR 160 is unique in that it uses two consecutive addresses on the subLAN and is designed for inputs only. The MR 160 provides no output points or MR-resident DDC modules. Resolution Make sure there are no station address conflicts. Make sure the database has not violated the specifications for inputs only. Refer to TCON 126 for more information.
