Users get wrong Access Level when importing users into SP-C Web controller

Issue If you import Users via a CSV with multiple Access Levels, some of the Users can have the wrong Access Level attached to their profile. Product Line Security Expert Environment Security Expert WEB Controller v4.00 314 I100 and later Cause The issue seems to occur only if the Access Level with the longer name is read in first, and then the shorter name. Example: "Access Level" will come before "Access Level Main" Resolution Within the CSV, sort the CSV by the Access Level column to ensure that the shorter name comes first.

Replacement part for RYB-922-11 repair kit

Issue  RYB-922-11 is no longer available and needs to be replaced Environment RYB-922-11 Repair Kit for VB-922x-0-4-11 Cause repair kit no longer available Resolution There is no replacement for this kit. The customer will have to replace the valve body which probably will be the VB-7223-0-4-11 but verify which valve the customer has. Replacement part for 64-061-31 valve

Issue  64-061-31 is no longer available and needs to be replaced Environment 64-061-31  TAC valve TAC DWV - PN 6 DN 32  Cause valve no longer available Resolution This old TAC Valve is no longer in production, Schneider Electric do not have any PN6 valves. It's mainly Germany/Austria that uses PN6 valves. Dimensionally they are the same as PN16 valves, the main difference is the wall thickness but in all practical terms it costs more to have two separate tools for each valve PN hence why Schneider and 90% of other suppliers just have PN16 even though they may only ever be used under 6 bar static pressure. As a replacement flanged valve, DN32, the V211 valve is suggested

Shrink the SQLite event and trend databases

Warning Potential for Data Loss: The steps detailed in the resolution of this article may result in a loss of critical data if not performed properly. Before beginning these steps, make sure all important data is backed up in the event of data loss. If you are unsure or unfamiliar with any complex steps detailed in this article, please contact Product Support for assistance. Issue In some cases the event and trend database can grow really big although not all the space in the files is used Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment SQLite Building Operation Enterprise Server Cause Frequent inserts, updates, and deletes can cause the database file to become fragmented - where data for a single table or index is scattered around the database file. Running VACUUM ensures that each table and index is largely stored contiguously within the database file. In some cases, VACUUM may also reduce the number of partially filled pages in the database, reducing the size of the database file further. Read further information here: https://www.sqlite.org/lang_vacuum.html Resolution Stop the Enterprise Server Open SQLiteStudio (link to download) Select "Databases" --> "Add database" Select the event.db or trend.db file from the "historical" folder of the SmartStruxure database folder Execute the following command: vacuum;

Unable to control an I/NET DO object from a TGML graphic in HTML5

Issue Unable to control an I/NET DO object from a TGML graphic in HTML5, works in Workstation and Java based webstation Environment WebStation Cause The data type may not be correct.  The value should be written to PvControl as either a 0 or a 1.  If this is set as a string data type, Workstation can correct for this error, but HTML5 is less forgiving. Resolution locate the line of javascript where you write the value to the bind. this is typically a setValue(bind, value) function. bind = the full bind name of the pvControl binding. value = the value that is intended to be written to the pvControl bind. One line before the setValue command, enter the line " parseFloat(value)"  - This will convert that value to float. If the value is a 0 or a 1, the setValue command will now correctly set the I/NET value.

UC, MR, and ASC controllers do not use the minimum trip and close command

Issue Which controllers do not use the minimum trip and close command? Environment UC, MR, or ASC Cause The editor lets you enter a value in the minimum trip and close field; however, the UCI, MRI, MCI, or I/Site Lan replaces the entered value with the default value of "0" when it is downloaded to the UC, MR, or ASC. Resolution The minimum trip and close parameters are not used for Unitary Controllers (UC), Micro Regulator (MR), or Application Specific Controllers (ASC) output commands.

Use local CPH on a stand-alone MR-VAV-AX

Issue How to make local CPH work on a stand-alone MR-VAV-AX. Environment MR-VAV-AX Cause Even after you select local-CPH in the parameters and connect a contact to the local cph point, the unit probably won't switch modes without further modification. The application is looking for a zero for one mode and something above 1 for the other. Problem is that the factory calibration of the inputs can only be done to within 1 or 2 counts. With the standard conversion coefficient of 5 and 0, you'll still see a value of 5 or 10 for a shorted input. Changing the conversion coefficient wouldn't help because you need an absolute zero. Resolution Even though this is for stand-alone use, you need to connect the unit to an MCI or ISITE Lan. You can leave the address at 0 and set address 0 to MR or ASC in the MCU configuration. Open the ASC editors and update MCI for address 0 and check the point value for local cph with that input shorted. If it doesn't read 0, proceed. Next select Edit, Controller, MR functions. Highlight 0 and hit the Hardware button. These M and Bs are here as a result of the factory calibration. Reduce the B on input 02 (3rd entry down) by one or 2 or even 3 so that the local cph input reads 0 when shorted. When your done with the first one, you can plug in the rest and use the same MCI database provided you leave them all at 0.

Difference between DPU EPROM rev 2.21 and 2.22

Issue What are the differences between DPU EPROM rev 2.21 and 2.22? Environment DPU EPROM Cause On the 2.22 rev, one problem was corrected and an enhancement included. Resolution The problem was when using first key auto-unlock, the software would show the door as unlocked, when the first valid read had not yet unlocked it. It now remains in the secure mode in software until the first valid read. The enhancement is that when a DPU is operating on back up battery power, the power led will now flicker to indicate the change from commercial power.

A DPU restore to the DPUs has been performed. QP has been checked, and the AC files have been repaired.. Environment DPU Cause In AMT, there is most likely a Failure to Download message. Issue ASC that has stop communicating The site lost and restored messages coming from this controller. ASC has had communication problems in the past. ASC will not take downloads. Environment I/NET ASC Cause These communication errors could result in corruption of the ASC's NOVRAM. Resolution Clear the memory in the ASC by doing the following: Remove power from the unit Set DIP switches 6 through 12 to the "ON" position and restore power. Remove power again. Set DIP switches 6 through 12 to the "OFF" position and restore power. Remove power again and rest the switches to their normal configuration. Perform a ASC update.

What is a Parent Point in a UC (Unitary Controller)?

Issue What is a Parent Point in a UC (Unitary Controller)? Environment Unitary Controller Cause Feature information Resolution A parent point is nothing more than the AO or DO point to which you add a UC extension: VAV, AHU, PID, FLT, or HPMP. The functioning of the extension is directly tied to the state of the parent point and the command pairing. Refer to TCON 209 or TCON237 for important details.

PCU Analog Outputs to transducers do not have consistent performance

Issue PCU Analog Outputs to transducers do not have consistent performance. The first voltage-to-pneumatic transducers installed worked fine. Additional transducers have been added; and now, none of the transducers operate properly. Environment PCU Voltage-to-Pneumatic transducers Cause The amperage or power draw limitations of the PCU have most likely been exceeded. Resolution Sum up the total current and / or power draw of all the transducers and compare this to the maximum current or power output of the PCU. Reduce the number of transducers to stay within the limitations.
