How to make a report that shows all PIN assigned to Personnel objects in the system.

What user account type does Continuum require to run correctly

Issue What user account type does Continuum require to run correctly What could be causing Continuum or parts of Continuum to stop working or crash Environment Continuum, XP keywords: Account, user, Power User, Administrator Poweruser, Pinpoint, Graphic Cause User log in account may be blocking access to programs or files, can stop Pinpoint graphics from being edited. Resolution XP Once Continuum is installed using a Windows "Administrator" account, a Windows "PowerUser" account will give sufficient access to allow Continuum to run. If a Windows "User" account is used, some parts of Continuum will not operate correctly or may crash. We publish no information on what needs to be enabled/allowed/unlocked to allow a windows "User" or other such account to operate correctly. It is possible to set up an account correctly to run, but this would need to be set up by an IT expert on site, and updates/upgrades to Continuum may require the account setting to be changed.

Unable to save Doors in Network Configuration

Issue Building a database to take to a site and the doors do not show up in Netcon, though they can be controlled. Environment I/NET versions 2.10 and up using SCU 1284s. Cause The controller has not recognized the doors in the SCU and has to be readded in Netcon to be saved again. Resolution To resolve this there are a few simple steps that needs to be followed to get this to work again. Connect to the controller and then go to Edit/Host Computer/Network Configuration. Penetrate the Link Summary, Controller and then SCU. In the cnf column there should be a -- sign indicating that there is no communication to the device. Click on the delete button to remove it from the SCU. Close all the Editors and then go back to the controller. Go to Resident I/O Points, if the door point exists, delete it and close out of the editor. Open up the Resident I/O Points and re-add the point again and repeat Step 2. Save the doors now as Step would have a + sign indicating that there is communication to the device.

UltiVist does not execute on a server even though all the background programs and the actual executable file run with no errors.

Issue The hard drive was replaced and reloaded with OS/2.  UltiVist was re-installed on 😧 partition.  The UltiVist shortcut appears on the OS/2 desktop.  When it is executed, the background programs initiate as they should with no errors reported.  The primary UltiVist executable also starts but no operator views appear and the familiar "low beep-high beep" audio signal of a successful start to the program does not occur.  Again, no errors are reported. The UltiVist was re-installed over-top the existing installation with no change or improvement. Environment UltiVist version 1.22 and newer OS/2 all versions Cause The original hard drive failed and was replaced with a new one. Resolution At an OS/2 command prompt, type 'd:' then enter.  Type 'cd fi' then enter. In the d:\fi directory, find the ultivist.cmd file and look at its contents by typing "view ultivist.cmd".  The last two lines should read: STARTER.EXE FI.CFG START /PM UVUI.EXE %1 %2 Try typing each line at the command prompt a few seconds apart.  The first line starts all the background/support programs.  The second starts the actual interface program. If either line fails to properly execute, cut or rename the entire fi folder and re-install UltiVist from floppy disk (or CD). Do not install over-top the existing installation.
