Following a download or reset, the PBOccMode tag comes back as NA

Issue The Workplace Tech Tool 4.0 Engineering Guide (F-27254), Chapter 3 - "S-Link Sensor Tags", states "PBOccMode" is 0 following a download or reset.  This is incorrect.  Following a download or reset, the PBOccMode tag comes back as NA. Environment Lon and BACnet controllers with MN stats Cause error in documentation Resolution There is a work around if a 0 is required following a download or reset. If the existing logic is not able to handle the "NA", then link PBOccMode into Input[1] of a two input "Priority Object". Set Input[2] to a constant of 0. The Priority object will output a 0 following a download or reset.

Daylight saving settings when using external time controller.

Issue Daylight saving (DST) settings when using external time controller. Environment Vista Server NTP External Time Controller Cause Sometimes customers prefer to use an external software and/or device to monitor and set the actual time in the computer, sometimes it also controls the daylight savings. Resolution When using TAC Vista servers in a network with an external time server (e.g. connected to the TAC Vista master server) it might be a good idea to switch of the daylight saving and only use standard time. The daylight saving/standardtime is controlled by the events, $Summer and $Winter. They can be changed in the property menu for the server object. First, make sure that all computers don’t have the checkbox “automatically adjust clock for daylight savings” checked in the date and time property dialog, with this box unchecked, TAC Vista controls the daylight savings on the computer. You also need to set TAC Vista in standard time status (if it isn't already). If it is, go to the properties menu on the server object, Time control. Make sure that “daylight saving difference” is changed from 60 min to 0 min. Then go to the daylight savings menu and uncheck the start and stoptime to make sure that the event doesn’t run next time. Do the same thing in the standard time menu. If you’re in daylight savings mode already, you have to run the standard time event. Do this by selecting weekday and month. e.g. third Wednesday in April. Change the start time to a couple of minutes later, press ok and open the properties dialog again to make sure that next event is happening soon. Check the state in the properties menu on the server object, Time control, it should be standard time now. Now do the settings mentioned in chapter 2. By doing this the external time server now can control time and daylight savings in the TAC Vista network.

SIGNAL can be interfaced to a LNC-100. This controller is very similar to a GCM-86000 but it contains a LON trunk connector and block types that allow for communication to MNL controllers. By creating APT & DPT blocks in the LNC-100, SIGNAL can read from and write to blocks in the MNL controllers.

The No Server Light is illuminated on ACX78x Controller.

Issue Following a clean upgrade from Continuum 1.74 to 1.93, all ACX78x controllers have the No Server LED illuminated. Product Line Andover Continuum Environment ACX780 ACX781 Cause The SystemStatus system variable is set to No Database. Additionally, the AccessServer system variable on the ACX78x controller is not correctly configured—it is not set to the ACCID of the primary access server workstation. The No Server LED illuminates when the controller cannot establish a valid connection with the access server. This typically occurs due to misconfiguration of the AccessServer variable. Resolution To resolve the issue: Set the SystemStatus variable to Normal. Ensure the AccessServer variable is correctly configured: It must be set to 0 or to the controller’s own ACCID. Do not set it to the ACCID of a workstation or any other device. Important Note Setting the AccessServer to any value other than 0 or the controller’s own ACCID will trigger the No Server LED, indicating a failed server connection.
