Xenta 100 high discharge temperature alarm limit can not be set high enough

Issue Xenta 100 has a discharge temperature alarm when in heat but the alarm limit can't be set high enough Environment Xenta 100 Cause In several parameters, the Xenta 100 plug-ins set limits on the range of valid entries which are tighter than the limits for that SNVT type. One example is nciDischAirMax on the 104-A. The plug-in sets the acceptable range at 32-104°F (0-40°C). The heated discharge temperature is likely to exceed 104°F. Resolution Open the LonMaker browser on the device Change the setting for the high alarm limit there. Values much higher than 104°F can be entered (limited only by the SNVT type).

SPD310/SPD360, value outside of selected measurement range

Issue What happens with the output VDC value if the measured value goes outside of the specified range?  Environment SPD310 SPD360 Cause The selected value is specified by the position of the jumper. Signal output is set to 0-10V. Resolution If jumper is set to 500Pa and read value exceeds this value, the output signal will still show 10VDC. Disallow Xenta Server web users or operators from changing their own password

Issue It may be desirable to the building management to remove web users and operators' privileges to change their own password. Environment Xenta Server Cause By default all users are able to change their own passwords. Resolution While the privilege that each user has to be able to change their password cannot be removed through standard configuration methods, it can, nevertheless, be removed through the FTP server of the Xenta controller. However, these changes will apply to all web users or to all operators rather than just specific users. Connect to the FTP of the Xenta 5/7/9xx controller by typing FTP://x.x.x.x (where x.x.x.x is the IP address of the controller) in the Windows Explorer address bar. Login with the root username and root password. Browse to the ftp://x.x.x.x/www/config/ folder and copy the either the file named operatormenu.xml or webusermenu.xml (depending on which type of user needs to be edited) and copy it to the desktop of the local machine. Open the ftp.cfg file with notepad on the local machine. If you are editing the web user file then delete the following lines: <MENU name="User Administration" value="/wm/useradmin" type="CFGDIR"> <MENU name="Change Password" value="/wm/useradmin/change_password" type="CFGPAGE"/> </MENU> If you are editing the operator file then only delete the following lines: <MENU name="Change Password" value="/wm/useradmin/change_password" type="CFGPAGE"/> </MENU> Save the file to the desktop without changing the name. In the FTP rename the original file by adding a "1" to the end of the name. For example webusermenu.xml would now be named webusermenu1.xml. This way you can keep the original file in the FTP if you ever need to revert back to it. Copy the newly edited file from the desktop to the FTP folder. If you are already logged into the Xenta server then log out and log back in. The menu should no longer be available. Important Note: If the system program is reloaded in the Xenta Server, these changes will be over-written and will need to be re-done.

While opening a TGML graphic in webstation a security warning dialog box appears: 'Java has discovered application itemsthat could indicate a security concern.

Issue While opening a TGML graphic in webstation a security warning dialog box appears: 'Java has discovered application itemsthat could indicate a security concern'. Environment Webstation 5.1.X Java 6 update 19 and newer Cause Signed Java Web Start applications and applets that contain signed and unsigned items could potentially be unsafe unless the mixed code was intended by the application vendor. As of the Java SE 6 Update 19 release, when a program contains both signed and unsigned items, a warning dialog is raised. Resolution Mixed Code Protection Options for Users: User can manage how mixed code programs are handled through the Java Control Panel. To access the Java Control Panel goto, Start menu > Control Panel > Java Control Panel > Advanced > Security. The following screen shot shows the four levels of control available. See the Mixed code heading towards the bottom of the Java Control Panel. Below are the details of the available options. Enable - show warning if needed. This is the default setting. When a potential security risk is encountered, a warning dialog is raised. Clicking Yes blocks potentially unsafe items from running and may terminate the program. When the user clicks No, the application or applet continues execution with protections (packages or resources that are later encountered with the same names but have different trust levels, i.e., signed vs unsigned, will not be loaded). Enable - hide warning and run with protections. This option suppresses the warning dialog. The code executes as if the user had clicked No from the warning dialog. Enable - hide warning and don't run untrusted code. This option suppresses the warning dialog and behaves as if the user had clicked Yes from the warning dialog. Disable verification. This option is not recommended. This option completely disables the software from checking for mixing trusted and untrusted code, leaving the user to run potentially unsafe code without protections.
