Xenta 913 is communicating to BACnet MSTP device fine, but no data will show up on values page.

Issue Xenta 913 is communicating to BACnet MSTP device fine (shows online status), but no data will show up on values page.  All of the data will be zeros.  XBuilder does not give you an error or warning of this problem. Environment Xenta 913, Xenta 731, Xenta 511:B XBuilder Cause When using BACnet or Modbus in the 913/731/511:B you can not name the Modbus or BACnet port the same name as any of the devices below it. For example, if you name your BACnet MSTP port "RTU" and then name the slave device "RTU" the device will show an online status, but you will not see any information on a values page. All of the data will be zeros.  By default, XBuilder attempts to prohibit this from happening by adding a numeric to the end of a new device.  So by default the device name would be "RTU 1" and you would have had to rename it to "RTU." Resolution Name the slave device below the BACnet or Modbus port something different than the port itself.

Error: NS #73 lcaErrNsInsufficientRouters

Issue An attempt was made to create a connection between nodes on different channels, but no routers were available to complete a logical path between the channels. Environment LNS LonMaker Vista NL220 Cause This error can occur when attempting to remove or move a router which has connections across it, or a router which connects an NSI to either the LNS or another NSI Resolution Lon Maker will not allow the disconnection of a router if the logical path to the device is broken. To combat this you must be creative by adding temporary routers, moving the devices to the new temporary channel, which will create a new path to the devices. the old Routers can then be removed/replaced and the devices can now be returned. Delete any temporary routers/channels.

"Error: Click for detail" or Dynamic mode not functioning when opening a graphic.

Issue Various error when trying to login, cant open graphics Environment Vista webstation Cause Java errors i.e. When opening graphic error "Error: Click for detail" or Dynamic mode not functioning. Resolution Dynamic picture not working are most likely caused by wrong Java version. Vista 5.1.4 uses Java 1.6-17 but installing this version afterwards might causes other problem like "Error: Click for detail (various java code errors). This can be resolved by reinstalling the webserver again or check for the following. IIS use the wrong version of .NET. - Go to administrator tool and choose Internet information services. - Choose Web sites then Default Web Site - Right click on Webstation and choose properties - Go to the ASP.NET tab and make sure the version specified are 2.0.... Address used  HTTP://IP/defaultpage.aspx when it should be using HTTP://IP/webstation/defaultpage.aspx - Go to same path as above but instead of right clicking the Webstation right click on the tree above "Default Web Site" and choose properties. - Go to the tab Home directory and check local path it should be directed to wwwroot (see attached) Then write in the address HTTP://IP/webstation/ (might work if you try directly) There have always been problem in which order you install programs, it has been noticed that sometimes java needs to be installed before webstation since webstation tries to reach components in java that do not exist else. So a try would also be to reinstall webstation now when the new Java version are already installed.

Sigma - Using an Analogue Input card to display Digital Inputs.

Issue Using an Analogue Input card to display Digital Inputs when no Digital Input channels are available. Environment Sigma Analogue Input cards. Cause There are no Digital Input channels available. Resolution An Analogue Input card cannot be used directly as a Digital Input card. A work around for this is to configure an Analogue Input to act as a Digital Input. Programme an Analogue Input object in Sigma. In Sigma System Manager create a lookup table, using an appropriate free number. Input Output 0 1 15 0 20 0 Add the above Lookup table to the Analogue Input object. In Sigma System Manager create a Short Text such as On/Off =%2.f Add the new short text number to the Analogue Input object. Across the Analogue Input channel fit a 1000 ohm resistor, this will be in parallel with the Digital Input connections. When the Digital Input changes state, Sigma will display either 1 or 0.

Rdr1Connected through Rdr8Connected - Infinity System Variables

Issue What does the Infinity System Variable named Rdr1Connected through Rdr8Connected detect   Environment CX9702   - Rdr1Connected through Rdr2Connected ACX5720 - Rdr1Connected through Rdr4Connected ACX5740 - Rdr1Connected through Rdr8Connected ACX57x0   Cause Information on Infinity System Variable named Rdr1Connected through Rdr8Connected Resolution The  Infinity System Variables named Rdr1Connected, Rdr2Connected, Rdr3Connected, Rdr4Connected, Rdr5Connected, Rdr6Connected, Rdr7Connected and Rdr8Connected are only found on controllers CX9702 and ACX57xx. The value (true or false) can be used to indicate which card reader channels have card readers connected to them. 1. The Controller checks the connection of card readers by physically checking the voltage applied to the reader. This can make the LED appear to flickering with high frequency, although this is normally not visible. 2. LED1 is monitored, if the LED1 connected correctly then RdrXConnected value is true, otherwise it is false.

Does the I/A Series (Niagara) R2 UNC-410 or the G3 ENC-410 support a BACnet MS/TP network?

Issue License form does not list the BACnet MS/TP driver. Environment I/A Series R2 UNC-410 I/A Series G3 ENC-410 Cause License request for the UNC-410 or ENC-410 does not list an option for the BACnet MS/TP driver. The UNC-410 / ENC-410 does not support any RS-485 drivers because the RS-485 port is not electrically isolated. These controllers do support BACnet integration via BACnet-IP or BACnet-Ethernet. Resolution If BACnet MS/TP integration is required, use the UNC-520 or ENC-520.
