Controlling a Forta actuator from PLC system

Issue Controlling a Forta actuator from PLC system using 0-10V output. Environment TAC Forta actuator  PLC controller Cause The PLC system is using a 0-10V control output to control the TAC Forta (MX and X1 input), powering the TAC Forta (G and G0 input)using a separate transformer. Resolution As long as the PLC system and TAC forta units are fed from separate transformers, this should cause no problem, and galvanic isolators on the control signal should not be required. Make sure to not mix up G and G0 in case several TAC Forta actuators are fed through the same transformer.

Xenta 104-A controller will not start cooling outputs.

Issue Xenta 104-A will control heating outputs but not cooling outputs. Environment Xenta 104-A Cause U1 is setup as a discharge temperature sensor if the outside air is bound into the controller. Resolution If the outside air is bound in as a SNVT connection and Bit 4 on nciAppOptions is set to on. When this occurs, U1 terminal 7 and 8 on the 104 become a Supply temperature sensor. If no 1.8k resistor is installed across these terminal the Supply temperature will read less than 0 causing the controller to think no cooling is needed as the supply temperature is so low. Install a 1.8k temperature across terminal 7 and 8 and this will allow normal control of the Xenta 104-A controller.

Remote Alarm Manager - What happens to an alarm message when the BST/GMT changeover occurs?

Issue What happens to an alarm message when the clocks go back during the BST/GMT changeover? Environment RAM Remote Alarm Manager Time Changeover BST GMT Cause This is an issue relating to RAM and how it handles BST/GMT changeover. If an alarm occurs, is it handled correctly by the Remote Alarm Manager? What will happen if the PC  time goes back, and the alarm is then cleared before the time passes the original alarm time. Will this cause any issues when viewing the alarm on the Remote Alarm Manager?   Resolution  Tests confirmed that there were no issues with this scenario; An alarm was generated at 15:46 and a text message was received. The PC time was put back an hour, and the alarm cleared at 14;52. . The alarm and the alarm cleared messages are shown in the RAM log below as 15:46 and 14:52 respectively.     The screen shot below shows the alarm status after the alarm was cleared.     The screen shot below shows the alarm properties, and here there is an error, the cleared state shows 15:52 which is incorrect.     When the time catches up everything returns to normal.
