A sensor connected to a DMS system displays the letters INH to the right of the real-time display.

Issue A sensor connected to a DMS system displays the letters INH to the right of the real-time display.  What does this mean and how can it be removed? Environment DMS Cause It is unknown how the INH appeared on the point.  There are at least three ways to do it with programming but none were found in the database. The INH is short for 'inhibit'.  It prevents a point from generating alarms or changing conditions even though an alarm or change of condition exists.  It is useful during times when maintenance is being done on the associated HVAC system or if the HVAC system is scheduled off.  It prevents nuisance alarms. Sometimes it gets applied after a database glitch during a loss of power or communications.  This situation is rare but it can occur. Resolution To remove the INH and allow the sensor to alarm and change condition, it must receive the ENINH command.  There are several ways to apply the ENINH command.  The quickest way is to use command mode. In OPRIF, - use the up and down arrow keys to highlight the sensor with the INH applied to it. - press F8 to enter command mode - type ENINH then enter - press F8 to exit command mode - allow OPRIF a few seconds to update and refresh the sensor on the screen

NPR restore does not restore host masks

Issue NPR restore does not restore host masks Environment I/NET NPR Cause At one time, doing an NPR restore via the serial port did not restore the host masks and restoring from the Ethernet did not restore the NPR passwords. On the other hand, if the NPR was completely cleared, you could not connect via Ethernet as it had no IP address so you had to restore the first time via the comm port. Resolution Do an NPR restore to an empty NPR via the serial port Followed by another via Ethernet

Require an Enthalpy Scheme Program For MicroNet Controllers to give enthalpy value.

Issue The requirement to have an enthalpy value, rather than a digital on or off state via the existing object. Environment MicroNet VisiSat Bubbleland Enthalpy logic Cause VisiSat's Bubbleland programming area stencil contains an enthalpy object. This object provide a digital state dependant on comparison. Depending on the controller type depends on the amount or objects the controller supports.   There is not a standard object to provide the enthalpy value. Resolution 1. A simple bubbleland scheme can be created to provide an approximate value for enthalpy. In the following example only changing temperature and humidity values are used, for other factors used to calculate true enthalpy use a fixed value. For example the value for pressure used is 1 bar. A custom object that outputs an enthalpy value can be downloaded below. For example: OR 2. Click here to down load this custom object. The file Enthalpy Custom Object.zip unzips to a folder Satchwell with the necessary files. Copy the Satchwell folder created to your C:\ drive then the files will be placed  in the correct folders in your VisiSat installation ready to use. If preferred download the relevant controller type configuration file, and then load the configured scheme with the enthalpy objects into the specific controller. MN300      MN350 MN440      MN450 MN500      MN550 MN620      MN650 OR 3. A VisiSat project containing each controller type with the enthalpy scheme and the configuration saved under a Configs folder within the project. Click here to download the compressed file containing the project. (4.2 MB)

Analog outputs only put out 4 milliamps. If you override them on they will put out 20 milliamps

Issue Analog outputs only put out 4 milliamps.  If you override them on they will put out 20 milliamps.  Should I send this controller in for repair? Environment Continuum Analog Output Cause When the controllers output HOA switch is in the AUTO position an output value of 20mA is indicated but the actual signal produced by the output is 4mA.  When the HOA is in the On position the output potentiometer can be adjusted to produce a 20mA signal. Resolution Move the controller with the analog output issue to another location, or remove all analog output connections to determine if the behavior caused by the field device wiring.

Why do bCX1 show 1 additional node in the Options?

Issue When you order a bCX1 (Both 9640 and 4040) the number of controller nodes shown in the options page is 1 more that the ordered part. Environment bCX1 9640 & 4040 Cause When you order an 8 node controller it will support up to 9 nodes 32 node controllers support up to 33 nodes etc Resolution All bCX1 controllers are shipped with an additional node to allow for the RoamIO to be used on either their MS/TP or Infinet network. The RoamIO uses 1 node to connect to the network. When designing a system 1 additional node should always be left available for the RoamIO to be connected. At times it may be necessary to offline edit to add the last (8th) node

Temperature displaying incorrect units when browsing an object in Lonmaker or NL220

Issue When you browse a Lonmaker object, the temperatures display the incorrect units. Environment Lonmaker Windows XP Cause The regional settings on the computer are incorrectly set for the systems specific region and therefore show the incorrect units for temperature. Resolution The Regional Settings of your PC need to be correctly configure for your Region. The steps to correct this are: Navigate to Control Panel Open Regional and Language Options Under the Regional Option tab ensure the correct region is selected Select the Advanced tab and ensure that the correct Non unicode region is selected. Reboot the computer after these changes have been made. If you have updated the Vista database with these object you will need to delete them from the TAC Network in the System Plug-in. Then update the Vista Database without the effected controllers. Once the database has been updated to remove these effected controllers you can let the plug-in update the TAC network. After  the TAC Network update a Vista database update can be done. This will transfer the XIF files and set them to the correct units. Check the database for any links on these updated items and correct lost object paths.
