Issue To order the correct version of this controller. Environment IAC600 Controller, IAC 600 Controller, MER207 Chip Eaton Williams BT Controller. Cause Ordering the incorrect version of controller will not allow the Eaton Williams scheme to operate correctly. Resolution To order the MER207 version of the IAC600 controller use the IAC600-S specification. To download the Visisat 2.1 MER207 stencils, please click here. Copy the downloaded file to your computer and unzip the file. The files will be unzipped to a folder "Satchwell" with the mer files in the correct folder structure underneath.The files will unzipped to a folder "Satchwell" with the mer files in the correct folder structure underneath. 1        Copy the folder Satchwell including its sub folders. 2        To your computers C: drive. 3        This will put the required MER files in the correct places ready for use. Now you can choose the stencil in VisiSat, when you need it, by selecting "open Stencil" and navigating to "C:\Satchwell\Binary\VisiSat\EN\Visio\Specials Products.vss.  

Issue Can the Roam IO/2 be used to create points in a controller? Environment Roam IO/2 Cause Ability to create points with the Roam IO/2 Resolution The Roam IO/2 device cannot be used to create points, but is designed to modify attributes of points that have been created by the Continuum system.

Issue Importing an existing Xbuilder project into a Vista Database. Environment XBuilder Vista Workstation Cause Site moving from Xenta Server only to Vista Server Front End Resolution Open your existing Xbuilder Project Select Project>Settings check the box labeled "Send Project backup file to target device" Click OK Press F11 to Sent the project file to target. Once this process is complete you will be able to recover the project file Open Vista workstation. Create a Xenta Server Right-click and edit the Xenta Server XBuilder will open Configure the Xenta servers IP and password information to match the existing device Select Project>Get From Target XBuilder will import the project files from the field device In XBuilder click on Vista Database and chose "Save As..." and browse down to the Xenta Server and click "Select" Click "OK" to the message "The LonWorks network in your XBuilder project will be replaced by the LonWorks network under the Xenta Server in Vista." In Vista, click on Refresh to refresh the Xenta Server

Issue Which format will emails be transmitted in? Environment SmartStruxure Cause IT departments may need to know the format of system generated emails, especially if they use an internal mail server. Resolution The email is sent with text/plain;charset=utf-8 encoding with Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable.

Issue In Vista Workstation 4.20 or 4.21, when using full screen mode (F11), if all windows are closed, a gray screen is displayed. Environment Vista Workstation 4.2.0 or 4.2.1 Cause Closing all windows results in an empty display, but it is still taking up the whole screen. Resolution The only way to exit full screen mode is to use the ESC key.

Issue PE Programs cause Locks to go into "Inoperable Mode" Environment Continumm version 1.94 and above Cause Personlized PE Program causes the locks to go into an inoperable mode due to the constant polling of the PIM for lock status based on the program characteristics. Resolution To resolve this issue, please follow these steps: Do not use PE Programs to poll lock status it would minimize battery life Disable all PE Programs that are lock specific. Do not use PE Programs for Schlage Integration.

Issue Can the memory within an MR55 or MR88 be completely cleared by changing its dipswitch address? Environment MR55 MR88 Cause Changing just the dip switches is not sufficient to clear the memory. Resolution The address must be changed from the I/Stat or M/Stat.

Issue How to allocate a range for individuals on an I/NET system. Environment I/NET Seven  Cause Individual Needs to be added to I/NET Seven Resolution Select the Individuals tab from Access/Individuals and choose the Tenant that the individuals are being added to. On the bottom of the editor is a button called Allocate Range, select this and when the editor comes up and put the number that you want to start from as well as the number of individuals that is being added and click on the Okay button. The Individuals will be added immediately to the system and they you can make necessary changes to each as deemed fit.

Issue Can photos be added to personnel using webclient? Environment Continuum Webclient Windows XP Windows Vista Windows 7 Windows Server 2003 Windows Server 2008 Cause Webclient is mainly a viewer and doesn't have the ability with some features for editing.  There isn't a way from a Webclient browser PC to add or edit photos for personnel. Resolution Personnel photos must be added using Cyberstation personnel editor or personnel manager and may then be viewed in a webclient browser session.

Issue Can I run multiple connections with Remote Desktop Services or Microsoft Terminal Server Services to allow more simultaneous sessions of I/A Series G3 Workbench on a computer? Environment I/A Series G3 Enterprise Network Server, ENS, Workbench Cause This occurs when a computer with a single Enterprise Server is configured with Remote Desktop or Terminal Server Services to allow multiple users to have concurrent sessions of the Workbench running simultaneously. Resolution The Tridium EULA (End User License Agreement) does not permit Workbench concurrent sessions. Per the EULA, each session should originate from a separately purchased and licensed version of Workbench.

Issue Site is using Pelco video server that runs in the same OS as Continuum, to minimize cost they want to run Continuum in the video server machine. Environment CyberStation Various Pelco video servers Cause Cost Resolution While it is technically possible to have Continuum run in the same machine as the Video server it is not recommended. Some of the possible problems that may arise are... 1. Performance issues 2. Compatibilities issues, some files required by both Continuum and the video server may have different version requirements.

Issue Snap to Grid not spacing items correctly in Pinpoint Graphics Environment CyberStation Graphics Cause Documentation Resolution In the Windows DPI settings (to make text and other items larger or smaller) adjust the settings until the desired results is achieved, for example if the setting has been changed to 125% try putting it back to 100%.

Issue Can 78040/50/60 TAPs be mixed in a network configuration with 78041/51/61 TAPs? Product Line TAC INET Environment 78040 TAP 78050 TAP 78060 TAP 78041 TAP 78051 TAP 78061 TAP Cause Mixing these two types has never been tested nor supported. Resolution Never mix these two types of TAPs in a single network. Refer to Tech Tip 047 for more information.

Issue Why does the install for SQL 2005 take so long? Environment SQL 2005 Cause Under certain conditions during the SQL 2005 installation process it could look like the installation hangs at "Setting File Security". This is a known problem with Microsoft. Resolution The workaround is to disconnect machine from the network and then the install should go through quickly. A cumulative hotfix is available from Microsoft that will address this issue. It can be found at https://support.microsoft.com

Issue When accessing an SNP network with SE Vista values are not displayed. Environment UK Cause SE Vista does not support 0 as a LAN number Resolution Edit the XBuilder exported file to change the LAN number from 0 to 1. The XMLM file can be opened with Windows notepad.exe Change " To"

Issue Upgraded LAN system from 1.74 SP2 to 1.93. Click on any existing schedule or try to create a new schedule - no response from the system, i.e no error message and no editor is launched. Environment LAN CyberStation v1.93 SQL 2000 SP4 Windows XP SP3 Cause 1.93 installation "over-the-top" of 1.74 appeared successful, but was not. Resolution Originally, the upgrade installation was done "over the top" of the existing CyberStation. The problem was seen. The installation was done again over the top. The problem persisted. The problem went away after uninstalling CyberStation, deleting the Continuum directory and Continuum Utilities directory, rebooting and reinstalling CyberStation.

Issue Does Schneider Electric offer replacement labels to convert the Smart Thermostats to other languages? Environment Viconics T-Stats French, German, Italian, etc. Cause It is desired to have labels on the wall mounted thermostats that are in the native language of the installation site. Resolution Unfortunately, there is not an offering for labels for the sensors for any other languages.

Issue How to read the Setpoint potentiometer of a TSMN-90250-850 room sensor in an MNL-800. Environment MNL-800 TSMN-90250-850 room sensor Cause Need to scale the voltage inputs in the AI object in the MNL-800 application. Resolution Connect: SP+ to the 5.1VDC source on the MNL-800 SETPT to the INx input on the MNL-800 COMMON to C on the MNL-800. Might need to adjust the UI configuration in the MNL-800,  here's starting point: Add the SP to a UI on the MNL-800.  In the AI object  with Low Value = 0, Scaled Low value = 94.7 deg; High Value = 5 , Scaled High = 47.1 deg F.  

Issue How often is a SNVT in a Lon device polled if an StruxureWare Building Operation alarm monitors that variable? What happens if a shunt variable is used - is the polling rate still the same? Environment Lon Device StruxureWare Building Operation Cause Alarms are to monitor SNVTs in a Lon device put polling may overload the network. Resolution An alarm monitoring a SNVT will be polled every 100 ms. If a shunt variable is then activated the pollrate will drop to 5 000 000 ms. This can be seen in the variable manager: Go to Server 1/System/Modules/RuntimeDBManager/VariableManager/Variables in Workstation Locate the variable in question and ensure that the Imposed Pollrate column is shown.
