Export special does not save output bindings

Issue After performing an Export special of an object in SmartStruxure and then importing it into a database, the output bindings of the object are no longer there. Environment Export and Import Workstation Automation Server Enterprise Server Cause Performing an export special and then importing that xml file into another database or the same database after the object has been deleted will no longer have the output bindings of that object. Resolution This behavior functions as designed. See Section 20.31 of the StruxureWare Building Operation: Technical Reference Guide. The documentation states that: "Objects or properties with bindings where the bound objects are in separate import files. To preserve bindings during an import, import the references objects to the targeted server prior to importing the actual objects or programs that refer to these objects. For example, import any referenced I/O points before importing the programs that read and write the I/O points. No matter what order of import is used, the import process will restore the bindings if they are valid at the time of import."

Alarm list texts in Webstation are too small with too much space between cells

Issue On large screens, the alarm texts in the alarm list can be too small to easily read. Product Line TAC Vista Environment Webstation Cause Depending on the resolution, the size of texts will seem larger or smaller. Also, though the text is actually the same as the size used in Workstation, it seems that Workstation represents the text in a clearer way. Resolution All styling of Webstation is done with style sheets (CSS files) and can be changed at your own risk. PSS does not support changing these files. Browse to the styles folder (C:\inetpub\wwwroot\TACVistaWeb519\Style\Default) where "519" in this case is the version of Vista installed, and "Default" is the style selected in Webstation Settings. Make a copy of the file "AlarmListPage.css" and store it in a safe location. Edit the file "AlarmListPage.css" with e.g. notepad or another clear text editor (don't use MS Word or similar) Here are two different style options. You can make your own. To change the font size for everything in the alarm list, go to row 16 and change "x-small" to "small" To only change alarm text rows but leave the title size, go to line 54, and add an extra line here "font-size small;" To reduce the space between the actual texts in the alarm list and the cell borders, change line 51 to 0px and line 52 to 1px Save the file, and reload the page. You might need to manually chose to reload the web page, for the change to actually go through Examples Original All texts set to "small" Only alarm text rows set to small, and spacing lowered

Environment XBuilder XIF SNVT Cause TAC XBuilder doesn't support multi line self documentation string for SNVT's Resolution [1] Edit the XIF file with a clear text editor such as notepad, notepad++ or jEdit [2] Locate the SNVT name(s) that has the issue (e.g. "VAR nviMode") [3] Delete all lines in the self documentation except from the first (Don't just place all the text on one line, as there is a max for characters on each line)       [4] Import the XIF file again

Issue Data not passing from Enterprise Server to Reports Server after upgrading to 1.6 Reports folder does not appear on new 1.6 Reports installations Logon failed at attempt no. XX User account has been temporarily disabled. Contact your administrator. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment Building Operation WebReports 1.6 and above Cause New features require additional configuration to allow Reports to function. Specifically, the Reports installation requires that the SystemReportsService user account be enabled before installation.  If this is not done, the steps below must be taken.   For Issue #3: If the user account used to access WebReports is changed through WorkStation, WebReports is still using the previous account password to access the Enterprise Server, this will lock the user account out and if used to log in to WorkStation will indicate that the account is disabled To verify that this is what is causing the lockout, open the Report Agent log StruxureWareReportingAgentLog and check for Logon Failed at attempt xx Reason: User account temporarily disabled.... error is shown. The default path for this log file is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric (StruxureWare)EcoStruxure\Building Operation Resolution During the installation of WebReports, you will see the popup message below. In order for the installation to work correctly, the SystemReportsService account must be changed to enabled before clicking OK. Ensure that SystemReportsService user account is enabled in the Enterprise Server before you proceed with the installation process further. To correct this error after installation: If running stop the Repot Agent Service and wait 1 minute before proceeding Log into Workstation using the admin account Modify the user "SystemReportsService" (or user account used) that is part of the Local domain Check/Change the property "Disabled" is set to "False Change/verify the password Close WorkStation On the Report Server open the program "Building Operation WebReports Administrator" Enter the newly created password for the SystemReportsService (or account used) Click Apply - a successful update should be reported. Report Server Agent historical reads fail intermittently

Issue The historical reads will fail from time to time due to process data failure Environment Report Server 1.6.0 and below Cause This is due to the ValueAfter and ValueBefore column in the tbEvents table of Reports db. ValueAfter and ValueBefore Columns were designed as float datatype, When the Reporting Agent tries to convert the NeuronId of a LonWorks device (which is one of the data for ValueAfter and Valuebefore Columns) as a float then this issue occurs. Due to this Reporting Agent will trigger the ES Read again. Resolution With the change of ValueAfter and ValueBefore to nVarChar datatype, the issue gets solved. These changes are included in Web reports 1.6.1.

Schlage WRI integration with ABA Readers.

Issue Invalid Attempt on Card Read Environment Schlage Integration with Continuum version 1.94 and above.. Cause When an ABA card is read on an ABA reader using the X-Driver,connected to a WRI (Wireless Remote Interface) an Invalid attempt is displayed in the Live Events Window. This is because the leading 0's are not being recognized by the driver. Resolution To resolve this there is a rotary switch on the reader itself that needs to be turned to #3. To do this, follow these steps: Remove power or unplug the power source. Slide the reader off the mounting kit. Using a small screw driver, gently pry the circuit board off the reader assembly The switch is a small rotary knob with numbers displayed on it. Using the screw driver, gently turn the dial to #4, this allows the reader to display all ABA digits, plus 10 leading and trailing 0's, as well as clock & data output. Once finished, reassemble the reader and verify functionality. NOTE: Make sure the ABA card is being swiped in the correct direction unless the reader supports card swipe in either direction (not all readers supports this).

Webclient "There was an error trying to create the .NET control for this page"

Issue A dialog of "Cannot open .NET editor with .NET Framework" comes up with new installation of Webclient or after a Microsoft update of .NET 4.5.x. There was an error trying to create the .NET control for this page. Product Line Andover Continuum Environment Continuum Webclient Windows 7 Windows Server 2008 Windows 10 Internet Explorer Cause Microsoft changed the behavior of Internet Explorer when .net 4.5.x is installed on a PC. It turns off .net 2.0 support which is needed for several editors to function on Webclient browser PCs Resolution See web.Client v2.0 .Net Editor Hotfix on the EcoXpert Extranet This is a registry key file that installs the registry keys mentioned further down in this article. It allows Internet Explorer to utilize .net 2.0 that several webclient editors use. This hotfix contains a .reg file which changes the registry, it is recommended to make a Windows Restore point or a backup (export) of the existing registry folder (hive). The hotfix only updates the following keys, so the changes can also easily be made manually. On an 32-bit (x86) Operating System Add a DWORD attribute with the name EnableIEHosting to KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework Set the value to 1 On an 64-bit Operating System Add a DWORD attribute with the name EnableIEHosting to KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\.NETFramework Set the value to 1 A reboot of the webclient browser PC is required after the change is made. Each browser PC will need to have this fix applied. Microsoft Edge can also be used on newer client PCs, see the following article: Microsoft Edge can be used for webclient client PCs
