Issue Actuator M44 is no longer available (withdrawn in 2000) and needs a replacement. Environment M44 M9B EM9 Forta Cause Depending on application, since the M44 was used for both rotating and sliding valves, a few different replacement actuators could be used. Resolution For valves with rotating stem, (TRV, VTRA, VTRE and STMG), actuators M9/EM9 can be used. For valves with linear moving stems the TAC Forta series actuator is used.

Issue Is the SPD310 sensor accurate all the way down to 0 Pa? Environment SPD sensor Cause Application on lower measurement levels. Resolution The sensor will not be accurate all the way down to zero. Select a sensor that is mid-range for the measurement being made.

Issue If using V231 DN25 and a Forta M800, what is the max ΔPc? Environment Forta M800 V231 DN25 Cause In case the ΔPc is too high, the Forta may not be capable of controlling the valve properly. Resolution The combination of V231 DN25 and M800 should have a max ΔPc of appr. 1150kPa (11.5Bar) For more information and details regarding the different applications, please see the data sheets for each product involved.

Issue Is there any Belimo PICCV equivalent in Schneider Electric portfolio? Environment Belimo PICCV Cause Looking for a SE equivalent product to the Belimo PICCV line. Resolution Unfortunately we do not have any matching products in the Schneider Electric portfolio

Issue What to do and who to contact when a controller needs to be repaired or upgraded. Environment All Product Repairs Cause Require information on what to do and who to contact to arrange repairs of defective product, order Controller option upgrades, order Cyberstation option or software version upgrades. Resolution   PROCESS FOR CONTINUUM REPAIRS   NOTE: Repaired items are set-up in Pronto with the part number prefixed by “4-“. This is done to allow visibility for follow-up if required and costing.   Engineer completes “Andover Continuum Hardware Return Authorisation Form”; one for each controller requiring repair. Email completed form/s to TAC AP – Logistics Replenishment ( NOT the US Repair Centre). Do nothing with the controller/s at this stage. Logistics email the completed forms to US Repair Centre requesting cost to repair and turn-around time. Repair Centre replies with cost, turn-around time and RA number/s Logistics pass this information to the requesting engineer who will decide Y or N. If yes, the engineer enters a Sales Order in Pronto, informs Logistics and forwards the goods to Melbourne DC. Logistics raise a Purchase Order on Repair Centre and instruct Melbourne DC to despatch goods. After the goods are repaired they are returned to Melbourne DC where they are receipted and despatched to requestor.   Repair Forms Fill out one of the forms below (whichever applies) and send to local Logistics. Issue Material specification for nickel plated brass sensor pockets Product Line Field Devices Environment Sensor pockets Cause Some customers require a specification on the material used for the sensor pockets in nickel plated brass. Resolution Brass nickel plated: Turned part: Ms 58 (Cu Zn 39 Pb3) Pipe + lid: Ms 63 (Cu Zn 37) Surface nickel plated. Guidelines for nickel plating: Galvanica nickel plated ( ca. 6 – 12 µm)  

Issue Wiring detail using STR602 temperature sensor inc. remote adjust with a CXR5805 Controller Environment STR602 CXR5605 CXR 5605 Cause The STR datasheet instructions are not clear, it details terminals 22, 23 and 24 and not what each terminal is for e.g. 0V Com, Setpoint, 'C. The CXR5805 User Guide details the old part numbers. Resolution The STR602 combines the RPW4425 and DRT3453 into one temperature and setpoint unit. The STR602 is a 3 wire device using a common 0V between the setpoint adjust potentiometer and the temperature sensing thermistor. The terminations are STR602 term 22 (Setpoint) STR602 term 23 (Temp 'C) STR602 term 24 (0Vcom) And if used on a CXR5805 STR602 term 22 (Setpoint) is wired to term 5 on the CXR5805 STR602 term 23 (Temp 'C)  is wired to term 22 on the CXR5805 STR602 term 24 (0Vcom)  is wired to term 27 on the CXR5805 Link terminals 6 and 27 on the CXR5805 

Issue Schneider Electric portfolio replacement actuator for Controlli MVL56PS56 Environment MVL56PS56 Forta M700 Cause A replacement for Controlli MVL56PS56 is requested by customer. Resolution MVL56 is replaced by the Forta M700. "PS56" is a production specific specification for another manufacturer (unknown). Linkage kit required is depending on application. Part no MVL56 is replaced by MVH56 at Controlli.

Issue Requesting replacement hose connectors for SPD910  Environment SPD910 Cause If the hose connectors are lost or broken, they may want to be replaced. Resolution The hose connectors are not listed as replacements or spare parts. However, if there is a need for numerous units, a request to the manufacturer may be done.

Issue In 2006, a new line of damper actuators was presented, replacing the previous generation. Environment M-AM230 (871-0000-010) MD20B-230 (875-1021-000) Cause Replacing old series damper actuator with new. Resolution The M-AM230 (871-0000-010) is replaced by MD20B-230 (875-1021-000). Issue Which power supply options are specified on the MD10SR-TS actuator? Environment MD10SR-TS Cause The data sheet may be a bit unclear at some points regarding the requirements on which power supply that can be used on this Universal actuator. Resolution AC 50/60Hz: 19,2-264 V DC: 21,6 -137,5 V

Issue Selecting the correct actuator for the VTRE valves. Environment VTRE M9B EM9 Cause The data sheet for VTRE is currently listing the following suitable actuators: M9B-24:  860-1010-000 M9B-230:  860-1020-000 EM9:  860-1110-000 Also, it states the following: "NOTE! The VTRE valves require that the  actuators be adjusted for 90° rotational travel." However, the EM9 listed in the data sheet is 180° rotational. Resolution The correct actuators should be the following: M9B-24:  860-1010-000 M9B-230:  860-1020-000 EM9:  860-1100-000

Issue What happens with the output VDC value if the measured value goes outside of the specified range?  Environment SPD310 SPD360 Cause The selected value is specified by the position of the jumper. Signal output is set to 0-10V. Resolution If jumper is set to 500Pa and read value exceeds this value, the output signal will still show 10VDC. Any control signal above 10VDC is marginal, and should not be used as a measurement reference.

Issue What is the accuracy of the I/A Series MN-SX S-Link wall sensors? This information is required for submittal purposes. Environment MN-SX MN-S1 MN-S2 MN-S3 MN-S4 MN-S4-FCS MN-S5 S-Link Cause Published sensor accuracy information required for project submittal Resolution TPA-RKFD-09-0021.00 details sensor accuracy and stability as shipped from the factory and states:- Element Type: Precision Thermistor Operating Temperature Range: 0 – 50 °C (32 to 122 °F) Stability: < 0.02 °C (< 0.04 °F) per year, typical Accuracy Temperature °C Accuracy Temperature °F Accuracy 24 °C ± 0.6 °C 75 °F ± 1.0 °F 0 to 50 °C ± 1.7 °C 32 to 122 °F ± 3.0 °F

Issue CZU4201 not controlling. Always in cooling mode. Environment CZU4201 CZU DRT3451 STR611 STR612 STR Cause The CZU controller is not controlling. Resolution A DRT3451, STR611 or a STR612 is used as both temperature sensor and setpoint adjust. Check that the internal setpoint adjust within the controller is set 10'C. If not, set it to 10'C, then the internal setpoint is ignored and the remote setpoint is used.

Issue Which type of thread is used on the VZ*19E valves? Environment VZ219E VZ319E VZ419E Cause There are different types of standards on the market for pipe threads, often depending on regions. Resolution All threaded VZ*19E valves are using BSP (British Standard Pipe) male threads. 

Issue Valves V354 and V355 requires a specific type of actuator. Environment V354 (7315425000) V355 (7315529000) M52L (8522320000) EM52L (8522221000) EM52L-4 (8522210000) MC52A (8532221010) Cause Due to the design of the V354 and V355 valves, a specific type of actuator is necessary. Resolution MC52A, part no. 8532221010, is designed for use as a replacement actuator. It is delivered together with an adapter to fit the V354 valve.

Issue Choosing the correct range of sensor is important in order to provide the most accurate value. Environment SPD310 SPD360 Cause Only the max value is specified for each range. How low is the lowest accurate value? Resolution The reasonable minimum pressure in the 100Pa range should be equal or greater than 40Pa (typically), otherwise the max. error becomes bigger.

Issue Drayton DC1000 Energy Controller requires replacement. Environment Drayton Stand alone DC1000  DC 1000 Discreet  Energy Controller Optimiser Compensator Optimiser/Compensator Optimiser / Compensator Cause Obsolescence of Drayton DC1000 Energy Controller. Resolution There is no direct replacement of the DC1000, the DC1100 and the DC1400 are also obsolete now.

Issue SCR100 series sensors are intended to be used as replacements for the Senseair ASense series sensors, but there is no SCR100 with LON communication available. Environment Senseair ASense SCR100 Cause There is no SCR100 LON version available. Resolution If LON sensors are required, they will need to be purchased directly from the manufacturer.
