Issue Controlling a Forta actuator from PLC system using 0-10V output. Environment TAC Forta actuator PLC controller Cause The PLC system is using a 0-10V control output to control the TAC Forta (MX and X1 input), powering the TAC Forta (G and G0 input)using a separate transformer. Resolution As long as the PLC system and TAC forta units are fed from separate transformers, this should cause no problem, and galvanic isolators on the control signal should not be required. Make sure to not mix up G and G0 in case several TAC Forta actuators are fed through the same transformer.

Issue Requesting material specifications used in gear box on actuators MD20 in its different versions. Environment Actuator MD20 Cause Possible exposure to heat (desert climate). Resolution The gear box has a mix of plastic and steel plate gears. 5 in total. Experience from manufacturer states that there should be no issues in using them in a desert climate like Dubai or similar.

Issue There are different versions of TAC Forta actuators available on the global market. Environment Forta actuators on the global market. M400 M400A M800 M800A M1500 M1500A Cause There are different types of Fortas available. Resolution The "A" version of the Forta actuators are designed to be used on the US market. There are several differences between the "A" series and the regular type, but the key ones are: UL approval Electrical connections designed to conform to US standards The VB version is equipped with a short yoke to fit directly on the VB series of valves used on the US market.

Issue When defining configuration on SE7300 part no, your choice is between "0" (override) and "5" (possibility to change between °C and °F in interface). Environment SE7300 Cause its not possible to have both override and °C/°F feature Resolution When defining the part number, you will have to choose. The override feature is usually the preferred choice in industrial applications, while the °C/°F feature is used for Hotels and similar, where users are given the possibility to change unit of desired temperature.

Issue When specifying the configuration of the SE7300 you can choose between "50" and "55" in step 5 of the part number. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Expert, Field Devices Environment SE7300 Cause Different options of configuration when defining the part no for the SE7300 Resolution The difference is that the "50" option is PIR Ready, but PIR cover of unit is not included. Option "55" is with the PIR cover already mounted upon delivery.

Issue Looking for actuator with position feedback signal for V321 (V292, V222) DN125-DN150 since M22/M50 does not provide this option. Environment V222 DN125 V222DN150 V292 DN125 V292 DN150 V321 DN125 V321 DN150 M22 M50 Cause Actuator with positioning feedback signal for DN125 - DN150 valves Resolution There are currently no suitable actuators available that gives the Forta features on the M22/M50 actuators. Also, there is no linkage kit that would make the Forta series actuators fit on the DN125 and DN150 size valves, due to its different design.

Issue Which valves will the part no 100108000 spare stuffing box fit, and which sizes of these valves? Environment 100108000 (1-001-0800-0) spare stuffing box (Venta) V241, V341, V231, V232, V211, V211T, V212, V212T, V311, V311T Cause suitable spare stuffing box Resolution 100108000 (1-001-0800-0) spare stuffing box (Venta) works with the following valves in all dimensions: V241, V341, V231, V232, V211, V211T, V212, V212T, V311, V311T

Issue There is a difference between the STD300 sensor flanges compared to the ones pictured in the data sheets. Environment STD300 Cause Design differences between picture on data sheet and actual sensor. Resolution There was a slight design change on the sealing flange a while ago where the metal piece was replaced by a plastic flange. This to get a more flexible surface to the duct, and therefore a better seal.

Issue The difference between VWG-APP-1045 and VWG-EPP-1045 option cards. Environment I/A Tridium SE7000 VWG-EPP-1045 VWG-APP-1045 Cause Different cards available. Resolution VWG-APP-1045: option card that fits directly into a Tridium JACE controller to provide communications between controllers and the gateway device. VWG-EPP-1045: option card that fits directly into the American IA range of controllers with an RS232 interface

Issue The data sheet states 2 different power consumptions: Power consumption: average 6 VA Transformer sizing: 30 VA Which one should be used for calculating power supply? Environment Forta Cause There are different figures specified in the documentation for the Forta series actuator. Resolution Average consumption is 6VA, but the peak consumption is 30VA, and this is just before the valve reaches the fully closed position.
