Issue EG2RL is obsolete and needs to be replaced. Environment EG2RL 5552220000 Cause Replacement of old EG2RL sensor Resolution The EG2RL was used in pairs as Average temp sensors. Each unit contains 2 SPA (1.8kOhm) sensor elements in serial, that are then connected to the other unit in parallel. No direct replacement is available.  

Issue Where can I find the UL and CE certificates for our valves? Environment Valves Cause In some applications/installations, the UL or CE (depending on geographical region) is requested for the components used. Resolution The UL and CE certificates are only valid when electrical components are involved, such as actuators.

Issue User over adjusts the setpoint on the STR612 Environment STR612 Cause The STR612 is used in conjunction with the CZU fan coil unit controller. The user over adjusts the setpoint.  Resolution The STR612 setpoint dial can be restricted. Under the dial cover are 2 plastic pegs that can be moved to the temperature extents that are required.

Issue What spare parts are available for the valves in our European portfolio?  Environment TAC  Valves Europe Cause When valves are getting worn out, they should be replaced. Resolution In general, all spare parts available for each valve are listed in the datasheets for the product in question. In addition, some field devices are also listed in documentation as Accessories.

Issue When ordering the UG-3-A40, which venturi pipe is included? Environment UG-3-A40 Smoke detector UG-3-A4I Smoke detector Venturi pipes: VR-0.6M VR-1.5M VR-2.8M Cause Depending on application, different length venturi pipes may be required Resolution The 0.6M is included in the UG-3-A40 and UG-3-A4I package. Other lengths available are 1.5 and 2.8m lengths but needs to be ordered separately.  

Issue Controller TAC221R is obsolete and needs to be replaced. Environment 2212020800 Controller TAC221R Cause Replacement may be required since the TAC221R is obsolete since the end of 2009. Resolution There is no direct replacement available. In most applications, a free programmable Xenta controller with custom application is the only way to recreate functionality of the TAC 221R.  

Issue When the valve is installed, it is impossible to see the direction of the sleeve Environment VTRE 7317039000 7317041000 7317045000 7317049000 7317053000 7317057000 7317061000 7317065000 7317067000 7317069000 Cause In order to know the position of the sleeve inside the valve, you need to know the relationship between the sleeve and the "cut" on the stem. Resolution The cut in the stem indicates the position of the sleeve. If the cut is at 3 o'clock, the port at 3 o'clock is closed.

Issue Schneider Electric part number equivalent to Controlli MVT44 Environment Controlli MVT44 (Previously badged as TAC) MZ20B-24 (8455001000) Cause Internal purchasing instead of external. Resolution Schneider Electric MZ20B-24 (8455001000) is the equivalent of Controlli MVT44.

Issue If using the "sym" jumper in a 100Pa configuration, will this mean -50Pa - +50Pa range? Environment 004700320 SPD310-100/300/500/1000 Pa 004700340 SPD310-1000/1200/2500/5000 Pa 004700360 SPD360-300/500/1000/2500 Pa Cause In some applications, the output signal, is requested to be symmetrical. Resolution The specified values we can grant is only down to 100 Pa. Using the Sym – jumper configuration would change the signal to -100 Pa …+100 Pa ( not -50…+50 Pa ), because the sensitivity of the sensor does not change by this jumper.

Issue How to monitor if equipment is running without running cables to additional sensors Environment Current Sensor switch Cause Running cables to and fitting sensors can be time consuming and expensive, are there other ways to monitor equipment? Resolution The current drawn by equipment can be monitored within a control panel using the Current Sensor devices.   This method of monitoring equipment will not replace other monitor methods, but will be suitable for some projects - Detecting belt loss, coupling shear and mechanical failures - Evaluating lighting circuit and other electrical service run times - Monitoring status of critical electrical equipment - Choose from Switch, 0-5VDC, 0-10VDC and 4-20mA     Information on current sensos can be downloaded from the Schneider Electric Exchange Extranet.
