DC1100 or DC1400 not accepting 0112 passcode to clear alarms or to alter settings.

Issue DC1100 or DC1400 not accepting 0112 passcode to clear alarms or to alter settings. Environment DC1100 DC1400 Cause When the passcode 0112 is used to clear alarms or to alter settings, the code is not accepted. Resolution The controller will require coldstarting. 1. Using the setup menu and view settings, make a note of the settings of the controller. 2. Coldstart the controller by turning the power off, hold down the enter and exit buttons, power on and then release the buttons. The controller should re-initialise and will return to its default settings. 3. Reprogramme the controller with time and date, heating and HWS schedules, and any other parameter required in the set up menu. e.g. no of boilers, HWS linked etc.

Installing SPP110 pipe pressure sensor on CPVC pipes

Issue Is it possible to install the SPP110 sensor on a CPVC pipe system? Environment SPP110: 004702020 004702040 004702060 004702080 004702100 004702120 004702140 Cause Application suitability for plastic CPVC pipes. Resolution The SPP110 sensor is delivered with a G1/4 male thread on the sensor body, and then an adaptor to male G1/2 thread. It needs to be determined locally if a suitable threaded fitting (female) can be securely adapted to the CPVC pipe.

What product changes have been made to the SCR range of sensors?

Issue SCR sensors working with AC Voltages Environment SCR Series Sensors Cause An issue was found with AC voltages below 22.8VAC Resolution Any SCR units that have been shipped since 1 March 2012 will be fine with the full AC supply range (as per their datasheet), however we had an issue with older units that require the AC supply to be above 22.8 Volts to ensure there are no problems. DC supply voltages operate correctly on all SCR sensors. See TPA-FD-12-0002.00 and TPA-FD-12-0003.00 for full details of the issue and changes made to the sensors.

Accuracy / linearity SPD310/SPD360

Issue For Accuracy, only the 0-100 Pa range is listed in the documentation. Same thing with the Linearity. Environment SPD310: 004700320 004700340 SPD360: 004700360 Cause The sensors are available in several other ranges than just the listed 0-100Pa. Resolution Accuracy ( linear output 😞          Accuracy 0-100 Pa:                    This means that all other ranges ( 300, 500, 1000, 1200, 2500, 5000 Pa ) has an accuracy of 1,5% FS. Only range 0-100 Pa has a accuracy of 1,5% FS. 0,75 % of higher pressure ranges sensors means more Pa comparing to 1,5% of 100 Pa. 0,75% f.e. of 2500 Pa means a max. deviation of 18,75 Pa.     Same regarding Linearity:  Linearity incl. temp. and hysteresis:                   Linearity incl. temp. and hysteresis 0-100 Pa:       As above, for all ranges 300, 500, 1000 … the linearity is < / = 2% FS, but only for range of 100 Pa linearity is 4% FS.

Availability of TAC228R

Issue Is the TAC228R controller still available? Environment TAC228R 2281084000 Cause Availability of old controller Resolution The TAC228R was withdrawn in 2011 and is no longer available for ordering for new projects. It will still be available as a spare part until 2021-12-31 when it will be terminated. A suitable alternative is the SE8300 series of room controllers. The TAC228R had the ability of a remote setpoint using a 0-10V signal, by using lua script and utilizing the input UI23, the same operation can be achieved.

Accuracy on TAC 1.8kOhm temperature sensor family

Issue Accuracy on TAC type sensors Environment Vista family sensors TAC 1.8kOhm temperature sensor Cause In some applications, a high accuracy is requested. Resolution All temperature sensors designed for work with the TAC Vista platform is using a 1.8kOhm sensor thermistor (1.8kOhm@25°C), specifically designed to TAC specifications. Since we are using the sensors for HVAC applications, and not industrial purposes, the accuracy is +/- 0.35°C between 15 and 30°C. It's then less accurate in temperatures below and higher than this span. I have used STR100 as an example in this case.

Resolution   The included plastic tubing consists of the tubes and connection hose. Tubes are from ABS Resin and the hose is from PVC. Both materials themselves are suitable for a wide range of applications also outside and of high consistency against different influences. But they are not especially strengthened against UV radiation.
