Issue Unable to update an ASC when adding a new MR to an existing system. Product Line TAC INET Environment All versions of I/Net utilizing HVAC applications. Cause On a system that has multiple sublan devices and adding a new or several devices to the controller, when updating the UPD files it appears to get downloaded but when the MCI update is done, only one point is written to the database. If the points are added manually, a Memory Error would come up indicating that there is not enough memory in the controller to do this. However, this is not seen when doing the UPD file update nor MCI Update. Resolution To resolve this issue, the following steps needs to be done: Connect to the controller Go to Edit/Controller/Configuration Verify that the controller does in fact have memory left If not, look at the trends that are on the resident I/O Points If possible, delete unwanted trends that are using up memory to free it up to allow these devices to be added Once done, go back to ASC Parameters and then update the ASC and MCI again.

Issue Filtering The AnalogSamples_xi.rpt SevenReport using the cell definition Environment I/NET Seven Reports Cause In some cases, the cell number can be used on a 7 trend to allow only trends of a certain type to show up in reports. If this rule is applied, you will need to change the stock reports to allow for this function. Resolution Open the AnalogSamples_xi.rpt file in Seven Reports Cancel the Date Time range selector In the Design View, click on the second icon from the left, directly underneath the word "Design" the tool tip labels it as "Select records to be used in report  Select Expert" Click on the " " tab browse to the bottom and expand "RptTrendDefinitions" Click on "CellNumber" Click OK In the left hand drop down select "is equal to" In the Right hand drop down, enter the cell number you wish to filter for. Click OK Preview the Report Save it using a different file name. 

Issue In older versions of the documentation for V292, the Kvs value is incorrectly listed for some sizes.  Environment V292: 7219254000 7219258000 7219262000 7219266000 7219270000 Cause Incorrect information in older documentation. Resolution To make sure you are using the correct Kvs value, please refer to the latest available documentation that is available on the Extranet.

Issue The BDelay object from the LonWorks jar conversion library intermittently shows very large "remaining time" causing logic issues. Environment R2, UNC's Cause The BDelay object does not initialize the time remaining properly under some conditions. Resolution In the Lib jar - programObjects - hvac folder there is a program called DelayedOutput.sns.  This program can do the delayed on and off function but will need to be enhanced if the time remaining output is required.

Issue NM24-SR is obsolete and needs be replaced. Environment   8760020000 NM24-SR  8751019000 MD10A-24 Cause Obsolete product needs replacement. Resolution   NM24-SR (8760020000) is replaced by the MD10A-24 (8751019000)

Issue What is the maximum system pressure for the meters? Environment Kamstrup Heat meter cool meter flow meter Cause It is important to make sure that the system pressure does not exceed the maximum pressure specified for the components included. Resolution Depending on which meter is chosen, it is either 16 Bar (PN16) or 25 Bar (PN25). This is defined in the charts that are available here: Heat/Flow Meter

Issue Which actuator is suitable for valve VGS211F? Environment VGS211F: VGS211F-15CS04 VGS211F-15CS05 VGS211F-15CS07 VGS211F-15CS08 VGS211F-20CS VGS211F-25CS VGS211F-32CS VGS211F-40CS VGS211F-50CS VGS211F-65CS VGS211F-80CS VGS211F-100CS Forta: M700 MG900SR M800 M1500/MV15B M3000 Cause Application assistance. Resolution Depending on application,  the Forta range actuators are suitable: M700, MG900SR, M800, M1500/MV15B, M3000.   For more information ad details, please see the VGS211F data sheet.

Issue Will a MVB46 fit straight onto a V311T valve?   Environment Controlli / Satchwell MVB46 TAC Forta Cause Controlli actuator on Schneider Electric / TAC valve Resolution   The Forta series actuators are suitable for use on the V311T valve. The data sheet for V311T has the different size Forta actuators listed, depending on application requirements.

Issue Needs a European replacement for a US product. Environment MS61-7203 AV-822 linkage kit TAC Forta Cause Replacing US portfolio product from EU equivalent. Resolution Use the TAC forta actuator that suits the application best. Together with linkage kit AV-622 this will fit most of the valves where the MS61-7203 fits.

Issue MZ88T is obsolete.  Environment MZ88T: 8455011000 8455013000 8455015000 MZ140-230T MZ140-24T MZ140-24M Cause Obsolete actuator needs replacement.  Resolution MZ88T series is replaced by the MZ140 series: MZ88T (230) is replaced by MZ140-230T MZ88T (24) is replaced by MZ140-24T MZ88TA is replaced by MZ140-24M

Issue How should the Micro Energy Power Supply voltage reading be checked? Can the Micro Energy Power Supply provide power to IOU only without CIU connected? Environment Infinity SX8000 Cause Got the Micro Energy Power Supply repaired by 3rd party but the voltage reading seems to be incorrect. Resolution The voltage of the Micro Energy Power Supply should be checked with the load connected to the PS.   For the port_A voltage check, have the CIU connected to the port_A of the PS.   For the port_B voltage check, have the IOU connected to the port_B of the PS. Also the Micro Energy Power Supply can have either the port_A connected to CIU only or the port_B connected to IOU only or both ports connected to CIU and IOU respectively. Issue Objects appear to be edit locked, however no asterisk appears in the editor title bar. Environment Cyberstation Continuum Users Cause Continuum user permissions had been restricted. Resolution Restored full edit permissions to Continuum User.

Issue How can an alarmed point be configured to close the currently active graphic before launching the graphic points alarm graphic. Environment Pinpoint Alarm Graphic Cause Using the Display Graphic action on an Event View, it is necessary to have only one alarm graphic open at a time. Resolution Event Notifications provide for the launching of specific graphic panels when a point goes into alarm. No provision exists for closing having this alarm close the currently active graphic panel before it' launches its graphic.

Issue A new utility is being used to record log data and store it in the "cloud". It has been requested that the log data have timestamps every 15 minutes synchronized to the hour.  Environment Sigma Trend Log Log data Log set Logging Timestamp Cause There is no mechanism with Sigma to specify when a log set starts to process the logging data. When set to log at timed intervals the log bucket file is downloaded to the controller and processed. The timed interval then starts from that time. There have been some requests for data to be synchronized to the hour with 15 minute log intervals. Resolution There is a engineering workaround to make Sigma do this. A prog point will be needed for every value that is required to be logged. Issue What grade of stainless steel is used in the Satchwell DWA range of sensor pockets Environment Sensor Pockets DWA Satchwell Cause Customer requires assurance that the stainless steel pockets are the correct grade. Resolution The DWA (Satchwell range) pockets that we sell are made from 316Ti steel. We use 316Ti rather than the 316L because of elevated temperature mechanical strength, pitting corrosion resistance, mechanical polishing and weldability.

Issue What mains actuator can be used with a VTRA rotary valve? Environment VTRA Actuator Mains Cause Existing actuator has failed and is no longer available. Resolution The replacement actuator and linkage are required; M9B-230 actuator - 860-1020-000 Linkage - 860-0990-000

Issue ACX7xx (ACX701, ACX781) swipe of card that is not in DB results in reader LED blinking slowly for over a minute. Then an access events 'No response from access server' is logged in the access event log. Product Line Andover Continuum Environment CyberStation ACX701 ACX781 Cause AccessServer system variable set to an incorrect value. For example, a value of 1 will cause the ACX to attempt a remote validation to the controller with ACCNetId of 1, whether it exists or not. Resolution Set the AccessServer to 0 (zero) if not remote validation is desired, or set it to the ID of the Primary Access Server workstation. NOTE: The old ACXs require a reset when the value of AccessServer is changed. After making the changes reload the controller.

Issue Can Continuum Extended logging be configured on point with a Log Interval of less that 60 seconds. Environment Continuum CyberStation Extended Logging Cause The project spec calls for extended logging of point with a 5 second log interval. Resolution While it is possible to configure extended logging points for intervals of 1 to 59 seconds, this is not recommended.  Continuum should notify the operator that this is not recommended when the point is configured.

Issue It appears the Dynamic DEMUX object in R2 - LonWorks jar - Conversions folder is not setting the output bits incorrectly for some SNVT_State values? Environment R2, all versions Cause Third party definition of the SNVT_State bits. Resolution The dynamicDEMUX object takes a "SNVT_State" value in and breaks it into representative output bits 0 to 15.  This object assigns the bits from bit0 to bit15 with bit0 on the left and counting left to right.  For example a SNVT_State value of 1000 hex is 1000000000000000 in binary, therefore the DEMUX object would show bit0 on.  Some third party manufacturers define their SNVT_State bits starting with bit15 on the left and counting down left to right ,so in this example their documentation would indicate bit15 should be on .  Once this is understood the DEMUX output bits can be interpreted correctly.

Issue ACX5740 appears normal when powered up but as soon as a card reader is wired, the card reader is continuously in "power up" sequence whether reader voltage is set to 5V or 12V. The reader is designed for either of these voltages. Environment ACX5740, ACX5720 Cause The ACX5740 power input was miswired at the power supply. It was being powered from the battery charging circuit instead of the DC output of the power supply. The charging circuit apparently uses a pulsing 24V DC voltage designed to recharge a battery. When powering the ACX (designed  to accept 10-28VDC) it looks normal at first. However, the pulsing of the reader power output is not within the card reader input voltage specs.  Resolution The ACX5740 power was miswired. It was being powered from the battery charging circuit instead of the DC output of the power supply. Proper wiring to the power supply DC output fixed the issue.
