Issue Getting the message “Cannot display page” and “Access Denied: Remote host does not accept brand “Webs”” while trying to access the Platform of an ENC-520 with Niagara G3 WorkBench. Environment G3 Niagara all version, ENC-410, ENC-520 Cause Honeywell WEBs (Honeywell’s version of Ax) on the same PC as Niagara G3. WEBS was installed and licensed first. G3 was installed after WEBs, but never licensed. Since a license for G3 was never obtained, G3 was attempting to use the Honeywell license to connect to the ENC-520. This results in a license brand incompatibility. Resolution The Niagara G3 WorkBench has to be licensed to connect to an ENC.   All TIP and end customer Niagara G3 / R2 license requests are emailed to:IASeries.License@buildings.schneider-electric.com

How can the entire I/A Series R2 Error Log or Audit Log (or any other log) be saved to a text file?

Issue How can the entire I/A Series R2 Error Log or Audit Log (or any other log) be saved to a text file? Environment I/A Series R2 system, any release 2.15 or later Cause Many times, the issue being researched by use of the log extends over several screens of log entries. It is usually easier to review the data by looking at text format output instead of several screen captures. Resolution Access the UNC or Enterprise Server via web browser using the address "http: < ipaddress > /log/index" where < ipaddress > is the IP address of the UNC or Enterprise Server.  After logging in with the station user name and password, the following is displayed: Log Index ErrorLogService text/comma-separated-values text/tab-separated-values text/plain text/xml application/x-tridium-datax text/html AuditLogService text/comma-separated-values text/tab-separated-values text/plain text/xml application/x-tridium-datax text/html This table shows two logs, the "ErrorLogService" and the "AuditLogService".  Any additional logs created in the device will also be listed in the table.  By clicking the desired display format, the entire contents of the selected log will be displayed in the web browser screen.  The log output can then be saved to a file using the File / Save As function of the web browser, specifying a text file.  For example, selecting "text/plain" for the "ErrorLogService" will generate a file similar to the following: 2011-04-15T09:22:19.59-5,MESSAGE,/LON_BACnet_522services/ErrorLogService,ErrorLogService installed, 2011-04-15T09:22:38.89-5,MESSAGE,/LON_BACnet_522,Station started successfully. I/NET Control Logic Hierarchy

Issue DDC Control Override MR Control Override Environment I/NET MR-AHU 7718 7716 7756 7798 7793 Cause A control is needed to override the standard control for a point. Possibilities include using an ASC point for a different purpose. Resolution The most effective means to program an over-ride all logic is to use an Event Sequence containing the with Lock element. This will over-ride anything other than a point in manual control. Please see Appendix A "DCU Control Hierarchy" from TCON300 for complete Control Hierarchy.

Sigma 4.04 and 4.05 sites.

Issue Can a Sigma 4.05 site be run in a Sigma 4.04 database. or Can a Sigma 4.04 site be run in a Sigma 4.05 database. Environment Sigma 4.04, Sigma 4.05. Cause The site is Sigma 4.04 but the engineer's laptop only has a Sigma 4.05 database. or The site is Sigma 4.05 but the engineer's laptop only has a Sigma 4.04 database. Resolution The files that are common between the two databases are: index.rec, indexex.rec, index.bin, pntfle.rec. There are 2 options: Option 1 Use VMWare and install the Sigma database to suit the site required. This is easier and more secure method. Option 2 Only copy over the above files. In the case of using a Sigma 4.05 database in a Sigma 4.04 database then the pointer.bin files need to be created using SigmaX. The node files etc will need to be manually created. In the case of using a Sigma 4.04 database in a Sigma 4.05 database, then the site devicecnf.rec file can be upgraded. Care must be taken when updating the Site Sigma database that only the index.rec, indexex.rec, index.bin and pntfle.rec are copied back. SigmaX SigmaX 6.02 will work with both databases.

BACnet third party address conflict error when commissioning new CyberStation

Issue Added new standalone CyberStation and bCX. Existing Phoenix controller on Siemens system generated a conflict error when the workstation is started. Environment CyberStation bCX Cause New CyberStation was assigned ACCNetID =191; Device Node ID = 191. Phoenix controller was using 191 as its address, too and so there was a conflict between the Phoenix address and the CyberStation Device Node ID. Resolution The CyberStation Device Node ID is grayed out in the device editor and therefore cannot be changed. If you run the Database Initialization (DBInit) program the Device node ID is editable. However, if you change it and try to save it you will get a duplicate IP address error. Perform the following: Shutdown CyberStation, change the workstation IP address in Windows. Run the DBInit program and create a new WS with different name, folder, ACCNetID, DeviceNode ID. Log back into CyberStation. Delete the old workstation (with the conflicting Device Node ID). Shutdown CyberStation. Change the IP address in Windows back to the one you had already assigned it.. Restart CyberStation. Edit the workstation object. Verify the Primary Access Server and Auto Download settings are correct. Perform a Teach. Make sure there are no conflicts and all the controllers are online. Reload the network controllers. Reloading the network controllers may not be required but is good practice after making changes such as this. You're better off knowing now if there is a problem than after you leave the site.

Issue Can the 30 day demo period of an expired I/A WorkPlace Tech demo license be extended? Environment WorkPlace Tech 5.x Cause The 30 day demo period has expired. The utility can not be used with version of WorkPlace Tech 5.7 and newer. Recovering Data from a crashed PC

Issue System PC crashed and there are no backup available to restore from, what can be done? Environment All versions of I/NET software. Cause There could be numerous causes for a PC to crash, like power surges, age of the PC and viruses. When this happens, if there are no backups on other media devices, then it will have to be rebuilt from scratch. Resolution To resolve this issue, if the data can be retrieved from the PC then here are a few steps that needs to be followed to get the database in tact: Go to Windows Explorer and look in C/Program Files/Microsoft SQL Server Expand that and click on the MSSQL Folder, expand that and go to Data. There are two files that needs to be retrieved, the InetDB.mdf and InetDb_log.LDF files. Copy that on to a media and place on the replacement PC which should already have I/Net installed on it. Shut I/NET, I/O Server and SQL Server down. Repeat steps 1-2, then copy the files from step 3 into the folder after renaming then current ones old. Restart MSSQL Server, I/Net and I/O Server. This should allow the database to be resynched with SQL. If this is not possible and there is no way to retrieve the data then it would have to be rebuilt from scratch.
