Replacement of Satchwell ZRM series or AZ2451 Rotary Actuator due to obsolescence.

Issue Satchwell ZRM series or AZ2451 Rotary Actuator requires replacement.. Environment Satchwell ZRM Rotary Actuator installed on Satchwell MB Series Rotary Shoe Valve Body. Satchwell AZ2451 Rotary Actuator installed on Satchwell MB Series Rotary Shoe Valve Body. Satchwell ZRM Rotary Actuator installed on Satchwell MC Series Step Controller. Satchwell ZRM Rotary Actuator installed on Satchwell MD Series Step Controller. Cause Obsolescence of Satchwell ZRM series and AZ2451 Rotary Actuator Resolution Please check number of wires connected to ZRM Actuator as this will assist in determining a suitable replacement. The Satchwell ZRM Actuator or AZ2451 would normally have been installed on a Satchwell MB Valve Body. The Satchwell ZRM Actuator could however have been installed on a Satchwell MC or MD Series Step Controller. The Actuator comprised a 6 wire electrical connection enabling it to be operated from a Satchwell Z Monotronic or CZT Climatronic Proportional Controller as follows :-  Terminal 1 – Open signal Terminal 2 – Close signal Terminal 3 – Common  Terminal A – 135 ohm Feedback Potentiometer – winding Terminal B – 135 ohm Feedback Potentiometer – wiper Terminal C – 135 ohm Feedback Potentiometer – winding 1. If all 6 wires are connected then the ZRM Actuator or AZ2451 may be replaced by one or other of the following SE Actuators :- MD20B-24 + Linkage Kit 914-1071-000 from Schneider Electric and an accessory kit  P140A from Belimo 2. ALTERNATIVE REPLACEMENT If in some installations, 3 wires are only connected to the ZRM Actuator. Terminal 1 – Open signal Terminal 2 – Close signal Terminal 3 – Common In such instances the ZRM Actuator or AZ2451 may be replaced by the XRM3201 or MD10B-24/MD20B-24 + Linkage Kit 914-1071-000

Rdr1Connected through Rdr8Connected - Infinity System Variables

Issue What does the Infinity System Variable named Rdr1Connected through Rdr8Connected detect   Environment CX9702   - Rdr1Connected through Rdr2Connected ACX5720 - Rdr1Connected through Rdr4Connected ACX5740 - Rdr1Connected through Rdr8Connected ACX57x0   Cause Information on Infinity System Variable named Rdr1Connected through Rdr8Connected Resolution The  Infinity System Variables named Rdr1Connected, Rdr2Connected, Rdr3Connected, Rdr4Connected, Rdr5Connected, Rdr6Connected, Rdr7Connected and Rdr8Connected are only found on controllers CX9702 and ACX57xx. The value (true or false) can be used to indicate which card reader channels have card readers connected to them. 1. The Controller checks the connection of card readers by physically checking the voltage applied to the reader. This can make the LED appear to flickering with high frequency, although this is normally not visible. 2. LED1 is monitored, if the LED1 connected correctly then RdrXConnected value is true, otherwise it is false.

Manipulating the bits in a Wiegand custom card field.

Issue How to reverse and/or complement the bits as read from a Wiegand access card in a custom card configuration Environment CyberStation CX9702 CX9900 CX9680 ACX5720 ACX5740 ACX701 ACX781 Cause Some Wiegand cards are encoded with the bits in one or more fields reversed and/or complemented. It is then necessary to operate on the fields when decoding the data in order to obtain the correct data. Resolution In the AccessFormat array a control field is provided to configure the system so that the bits in a field in the access card data can be reversed and/or complemented. The control mask is located at AccessFormat[2] Control Mask The bits of the control mask will be used by the parsing routine to reverse or complement selected fields. Setting the appropriate bit to a 1 will enable the special action:       Field Issue Code Card Number Site Code Manufacturers Code Feature Reverse Complement Reverse Complement Reverse Complement Reverse Complement Bit # 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0 Bit Value:           128                64                  32               16                   8                      4                    2                  1   Examples: To reverse the bits in the site code field set AccessFormat[2] = 8 To reverse the bits in both the card number and site code fields set AccessFormat[2] = 40   Reversing the bits makes the first bit in the field become the last. Complementing the bits flips the bit's value, 1 becomes 0 and vice versa.

Decoding the I/NET signal "flags" attribute

Issue In newer versions of XBuilder, when importing I/NET sav files into the project, an attribute called "flags" is included.  In an I2V integration, this signal can be used to decode the binary flags associated with an I/NET point. Product Line TAC INET, TAC Vista Environment XBuilder 5.1.5 and later Cause In earlier versions of XBuilder, each binary flag was separated out into an individual signal.  These signals include: test manual alarm old unack alarm_ack Binding each of these values (along with value, state, and/or control) for every point displayed on a graphic could quickly cause the number of bindings to expand to a number that caused performance issues with TGML graphics.  To combat this, all of the binary flags were combined into one signal called "flags." Resolution The masking for the flags signal comes from the communications format of I/NET: 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0 Test Alarm Alm Inh Unack Old Manual Not Used To use these in a TGML graphic, read in the flags signal to a component attribute.  Then read the value and mask off the necessary bits: test = ((flags & 128) == 128); alarm = ((flags & 64) == 64); unack = ((flags &16) == 16); old = ((flags & 😎 == 8); manual = ((flags & 4) == 4); Test, Old, and Manual can be used to append the point value with a T, O, or M, respectively to emulate an I/NET environment.  Logic will need to be written to read in the alarm and unack signals: alarm unack inhibit result false false   No alarm condition true false false Alarm is still active, but has been acknowledged true false true Input active, but no alarm condition false true   Alarm has cleared, was never acknowledged true true   Unacknowledged alarm present
