Issue A third party BACnet browser is trying to query Xdriver points. It sends ReadPropertyMultiple with a Property Identifier of "all (8)". The CX9680 responds with an error. Is this property supported by the BACnetIP Xdriver? Environment BACnet IP Xdriver Cause The ReadPropertyMultiple property identifier: all (8) is not supported by the Xdriver. Resolution The ReadPropertyMultiple property identifier: all (8) is not supported by the Xdriver. The Xdriver only supports the following properties: Value Access BACnet Property 85 R/W Present-Value 111 R Status-Flags 36 R Event State 81 R Out of Service In the Xdriver manual the Quick Reference table in Appendix A indicates "Property 1-25 Service Limit". This is only for the DeviceSelf object and determines the number of asynchronous BACnet messages the Xdriver can send at a time. It effects the speed of polling (1 = slowest, 25 = fastest).

Issue After an attempt to cold start the controller by removing AC power with the batteries disconnected, the unit started up with its CPU light flashing very rapidly (hard failure mode) Environment ACX780 ACX781 Cause Partly cleared memory. The random access memory  (RAM) on the ACX78x take a long time to erase. Resolution Remove the batteries Power down the unit Wait 5 minutes Power up the unit

Issue Camera will not move to preset PTZ on video alarm, from Video Monitor the camera can be moved to the preset in live video. Environment CyberStation Video Server Video Monitor Cause Issue with accVideoRecordingSrvc.exe at workstation that is logging the alarm. NOTE: The accVideoRecordingSrvc.exe problem could happen at any workstation not necessarily the workstation receiving the alarm. Resolution Check all workstations looking for any indication that there has been a problem with accVideoRecordingSvr.exe Shutdown then re-start Continuum on the workstation reporting issues with accVideoRecordingSvr.exe

Issue LD-1 program was working, then suddenly stopped. Environment LD-1 Display Module Cause Corrupted InfinityString points. Resolution Deleted and recreated corrupted InfinityString points.

Issue McQuay BACnet MSTP controller does not respond to the Who-Is request from CyberStation   Environment MSTP bCX4040 McQuay Cause McQuay Tech Support has reported that the McQuay device has problems with Enhanced MSTP.  Resolution McQuay Tech Support has reported that the McQuay device has problems with Enhanced MSTP.  Once Enhanced MSTP was turned off the device was found and displayed on the BACnet side. 

Issue What are the expected voltages on the RS485 IO Module bus? Product Line Andover Continuum Environment Netcontroller IO Modules IOU Modules Cause Require typical values for troubleshooting first steps. Resolution Although the IO Module bus uses RS485 comms similar to Infinet or BACnet MSTP, the typical bus voltages when measured with a voltmeter are usually lower. Exact voltages will vary from system to system and depend on the amount of bus activity at the time, but the following will allow general troubleshooting: Typical DC voltage measured across the bus + to - = 0.7 to 0.8VDC but working systems may read as low as 0.4VDC Typical DC voltage measured Screen (shield) to + = 0.6 VDC Typical DC voltage measured Screen (shield) to - = 1.3VDC Note: If using Free Topology (FTT-10A) controller and modules, these use transformer bus coupling and will measure 0VDC across the bus.

Issue Will a single 2nd generation Controller  (NC2, bCX) support two IP XDrivers on two different comm ports?    Environment XDriver NC2 (CX9680) bCX4040 Cause Want to enable two IP XDrivers on different comm ports of the same Controller. Resolution You can only enable one IP XDriver per Controller. (Example: You can not enable a BACnet IP XDriver on one comm port and a Modbus IP XDriver on another, you would need two Controllers for this - one IP XDriver on each.)

Issue Continuum found and added both third party chiller controllers, RLE LD5200.  When a send to database is executed however, no objects are added to the Continuum database. Environment BACNet RLE LD5200 Cause Some BAS systems use a 16 bit identifier while Continuum uses 32 bits. Resolution Problem resolved updating the third party controller firmware..

Issue When editing a PE program it displays "?_1" Environment Plain English Cause An object that the program is referencing has been deleted. If multiple objects have been deleted then the integer after the ?_ will increment. Resolution An object that the program is referencing has been deleted.  Recreate the missing object, enter it into the program and save the program.

Issue Schedule editor crashes with ACCDataServices error when creating a new or modifying an existing Schedule. Environment Continuum v1.94 Schedule object Cause Known issue with Schedules when editing or creating exception events. The Schedule editor will crash with an error. Resolution CyberStation v1.94 SP1 has a fix in it that corrects the issue with the editor crashing when editing or creating a schedule with exceptions.

Issue How should the Micro Energy Power Supply voltage reading be checked? Can the Micro Energy Power Supply provide power to IOU only without CIU connected? Environment Infinity SX8000 Cause Got the Micro Energy Power Supply repaired by 3rd party but the voltage reading seems to be incorrect. Resolution The voltage of the Micro Energy Power Supply should be checked with the load connected to the PS.   For the port_A voltage check, have the CIU connected to the port_A of the PS.   For the port_B voltage check, have the IOU connected to the port_B of the PS. Also the Micro Energy Power Supply can have either the port_A connected to CIU only or the port_B connected to IOU only or both ports connected to CIU and IOU respectively. Issue Objects appear to be edit locked, however no asterisk appears in the editor title bar. Environment Cyberstation Continuum Users Cause Continuum user permissions had been restricted. Resolution Restored full edit permissions to Continuum User.

Issue How can an alarmed point be configured to close the currently active graphic before launching the graphic points alarm graphic. Environment Pinpoint Alarm Graphic Cause Using the Display Graphic action on an Event View, it is necessary to have only one alarm graphic open at a time. Resolution Event Notifications provide for the launching of specific graphic panels when a point goes into alarm. No provision exists for closing having this alarm close the currently active graphic panel before it' launches its graphic.

Issue ACX7xx (ACX701, ACX781) swipe of card that is not in DB results in reader LED blinking slowly for over a minute. Then an access events 'No response from access server' is logged in the access event log. Product Line Andover Continuum Environment CyberStation ACX701 ACX781 Cause AccessServer system variable set to an incorrect value. For example, a value of 1 will cause the ACX to attempt a remote validation to the controller with ACCNetId of 1, whether it exists or not. Resolution Set the AccessServer to 0 (zero) if not remote validation is desired, or set it to the ID of the Primary Access Server workstation. NOTE: The old ACXs require a reset when the value of AccessServer is changed. After making the changes reload the controller.

Issue Can Continuum Extended logging be configured on point with a Log Interval of less that 60 seconds. Environment Continuum CyberStation Extended Logging Cause The project spec calls for extended logging of point with a 5 second log interval. Resolution While it is possible to configure extended logging points for intervals of 1 to 59 seconds, this is not recommended.  Continuum should notify the operator that this is not recommended when the point is configured.

Issue ACX5740 appears normal when powered up but as soon as a card reader is wired, the card reader is continuously in "power up" sequence whether reader voltage is set to 5V or 12V. The reader is designed for either of these voltages. Environment ACX5740, ACX5720 Cause The ACX5740 power input was miswired at the power supply. It was being powered from the battery charging circuit instead of the DC output of the power supply. The charging circuit apparently uses a pulsing 24V DC voltage designed to recharge a battery. When powering the ACX (designed  to accept 10-28VDC) it looks normal at first. However, the pulsing of the reader power output is not within the card reader input voltage specs.  Resolution The ACX5740 power was miswired. It was being powered from the battery charging circuit instead of the DC output of the power supply. Proper wiring to the power supply DC output fixed the issue.

Issue Every b3 wireless controller can communicate with BCX1 separately, but when there is a b3 wireless controller is online, the other controller can't be brought  online, the online controller must be powered off or remove the adapter, otherwise, the others will never be online. Environment Continuum Cyberstation BCX1 wireless B3 wireless Cause If the wireless adapter and wired RS485 was connected, this issue will happen. Resolution Remove the wired RS485 connector from the controller or disconnect the MS/TP bus, From the Comm2 port of BCX1, click "learn", All the b3 wireless controller will come online quickly

Issue Cannot find third party bacnet IP devices Environment BACnet Third party device Find bacnet devices Cause Default router address was incorrectly configured in the third party device. Resolution Corrected the default router address configuration in the third party device.

Issue Need to know the connector genders to order the interconnecting ribbon cable. Environment DO-20 DM-20 DIO-20 Cause Not in the documentation for the DO-20. Resolution All three have a female DB25 connector. Also, the interconnecting cable from the DM-20 to the DO-20 or DIO-20 is a straight-through 25 conductor cable.
