TTS100 Sensor Set Up

Issue Unable to set up a TTS100 Sensor on an MR88. Environment I/NET Controller with MR88 Sublan devices. Cause Hooking up a sensor on an MR88 and it is not reading the correct temperature on the Summary page. Resolution Verify that there is a 10K Ohm Resistor in the B Slot of the MR for the required point. Using an m=0.018 and b=-148, with counts of 0-255, since it is an 8 bit converter and Lookup Table #2 if it is on one of the Universal Inputs, or Lookup Table #1 if wired to the I/Stat port. It is connected to Red=Signal and Green=Ground.

The SigView_ATK (or SigView) 'List Object' report shows duplicated Object Titles.

Issue Using SigView_ATK to create reports the object title is duplicated in the Object List report.   Similarly, the various segment titles are also duplicate down the report columns. Environment Sigma 4.05 SP1/SP2 Sigma SEB Sigma ATK SigView ATK Cause Sigma 4.05 no longer automatically creates the pointer.bin files that is used by SigView_ATK to collect object data from the Sigma Index file, such as Object Titles. Resolution Create the pointer.bin files by either; 1.  Running SigmaX (v6) on the Laptop (engineers only) 2. For customers 4.05 SEB systems copy the utility 'GeneratePointerBin.exe to the C:\Sigma\Binutils location and run it.  3. For customers 4.05 SP1/SP2 systems copy the utility 'GeneratePointerBin.exe to the C:\Sigma\Bin location and run it Note: The utility needs to use the 'Fileutils.dll' to run and hence the above locations are used. The Sigma 4.05 Pointer Bin Generator utility is available in The Exchange Download Center.

Environment NC2 - CX968x ACX2 - ACX57xx bCX Cause Time settings not configured correctly from controller's web page. Resolution From a web browser login to the controller's web configuration (point your browser to the IP of the controller) Go to "Controller Configuration\Time Setting" Enter the appropriate UTC offset for your time zone, for example if the controller is in the Eastern time zone enter -300 Use the "Daylight" Savings option to specify whether daylight savings time is in effect Finally click on the "Submit to Controller" button, there is no need to commit changes and re-start the controller.

Vista timestamp for alarms or Xenta trend logs are off by 1 hour

Issue Alarm time logged into Vista from a Xenta controller 1 Hour earlier than actual alarm time even though the Xenta and Vista Server have the same time. This can also cause issues with Xenta trend logs where they will have estimated values for the past hour worth of logs. Environment Workstation Xenta Controllers Cause The offline (Engineering) Daylight / Standard time (DST) settings do not match the online (Operating) Daylight / Standard time settings. Resolution The Daylight saving and Standard time settings need to be corrected in the Xenta controller as follow: Place Vista into Engineering mode using the drop down list on the tool bar. Select the controller that is having the alarm time error. Right mouse click and select Properties. Select the Time Settings tab. Correct the Daylight saving and Standard Time settings. Return the Vista into Operating Mode using the drop down list on the tool bar. Retest alarm for correct time stamp or recheck your Xenta trend logs.

When uploading new configuration to Xenta 7xx device, all the scheduling is deleted. TSCH changes made from web interface are deleted when downloading the XBuilder project again Environment TAC XBuilder TAC Xenta server Cause There is no automatic check to see if time schedules have been modified since the last download. Information must be manually uploaded to the project. Resolution Before sending the updated Xbuilder project to target: Go to Project - Get from target Select Get online changes, click ok. Now the updated schedules are saved in XBuilder.

Resolution Connect to the controller Select Edit>Controller>Station Save Select Edit>Controller>Station Restore Select The DPU option Select the affected DPU and click okay Try a badge to verify results This error should only occur when badges are added immediately after a system recovery.  If the issue continues, contact product support.

Inactivation of Remote Alarm Manager alarm message

Issue The Remote Alarm Manager sends a message to the recipient indicating that an alarm has been inactivated. The screen shot below shows how a typical message will appear on the receiving mobile phone. Product Line Other, Satchwell MicroNet, Satchwell Sigma, TAC Vista Environment Remote Alarm Manager version 1.2 Cause An alarm message is generated, and the Remote Alarm Manager processes it in the normal way. After three days and at midnight, the Remote Alarm Manager will send a inactivation message to the on-call recipient, indicating that this alarm has been inactivated. Resolution This is not a fault with the system, it is operating as designed. When a new alarm is received by the Remote Alarm Manager, it is acted on in the way the configuration dictates. If the alarm remains on the system, without being retransmitted, then after three days the inactivation takes place. The 3 days is the default setting and can be changed if required.

Time of day displayed on an I/A Series R2 (Niagara) Enterprise Server system is off by one hour for several weeks each spring and fall.

Issue Between the second Sunday of March and the last Sunday of April, the I/A Series R2 Enterprise Server clock is one hour earlier that the time shown on the host computer. Between the last Sunday of October and the first Sunday of November, the I/A Series R2 Enterprise Server clock is one hour later that the time shown on the host computer. The noted times apply to the North American time zones.  Similar errors may also be seen in other time zones. Environment Any supported Windows operating system. I/A Series R2 (Niagara) software release 522 or newer Cause The Windows operating system has not been updated with the current daylight savings time rules update. The I/A Series R2 (Niagara) software, release 522 and newer includes the updated daylight savings time rules.   Resolution Download and install the appropriate Microsoft Windows operating system software update, per the Microsoft Knowledgebase article 955839 to update the computer's daylight savings time rules. The update can be downloaded from the Microsoft support web site at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955839.  This Microsoft  Knowledgebase article contains links to the downloadable upgrade file for each of the affected versions of the Windows operating system as well as any related installation prerequisites.

In the sample program below CardAlertList is an InfinityNumeric array containing the list of card numbers to alarm on. An Alarm Enrollment configured to alarm when Value > 0 is attached to CardAlertList It is assumed that all cards have the same site code, if multiple site codes are used then the program needs to be modified to take site code in consideration. SAMPLE PROGRAM: 'This program triggers an alarm when any card which number is contained 'in the CardAlertList array is presented at the door. Environment AVUE Mk 1 Actuator installed on VEU, MEU or FEU Mk 2 Unit Control Valve Body. Cause AVUE Mk 1 Actuator obsolescence. Resolution Replace AVUE Mk 1 Actuator. AVUE Mk 5 Actuators are not compatible with the VEU, MEU or FEU Mk 2 Unit Control Valve Bodies. It will therefore be necessary to replace both the AVUE Mk 1 Actuator and the Valve Body on which it is installed. Replacement products may be selected from the following :- AVUE Mk 1 Actuator = MZ20A or MZ20A-R VEU Mk 2 Valve Body (2-port) = VZ219 series of appropriate connection type / size / Kv rating MEU Mk 2 Valve Body (3-port) = VZ319 series of appropriate connection type / size / Kv rating FEU Mk 2 Valve Body (4-port) = VZ419 series of appropriate connection type / size / Kv rating   N.B.
