Does the Niagara R2 UNC-410 support a Modbus network?

Issue The license form does not show support for the IA-DRV-MOD (Modbus) driver on a UNC-410. Environment I/A Series R2 UNC-410 Cause License request form for I/A series UNC-410 does not list IA-DRV-MOD as an available option The UNC-410 does not support any serial driver such as Modbus or ASD since it's serial ports are not electrically isolated. A UNC-410 will only allow integration to LON and/or BACnet IP or BACnet Ethernet. Resolution If integration to Modbus is required a UNC-520 should be selected rather than a UNC-410.

Configuring inputs on Xenta 421A or 451A when using the controller as a stand alone Lonworks node

Issue Using the Xenta 421A, 422A, 451A or 452A I/O modules as a stand alone Lonworks node and all values are reading the default 0. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation, Field Devices, TAC Vista Environment Xenta I/O Modules Xenta 400, 421A, 422A, 451A, 452A as stand alone LON nodes Cause The Xenta 421A and Xenta 451A as stand alone Lonworks node require the UCPTConfiguration to be set to the necessary integer value for the required input. Resolution Please see the supporting documentation for the TAC Xenta 421A/422A and TAC Xenta 451A/452A that gives each nci value for the needed input type. To configure each input to the correct type please follow these steps: Navigate to the node in your Lonworks network management software (Lonmaker, NL220, Tridium, Etc.) Browse / Edit the controller to view all of the inputs, outputs, and configuration properties. Find the Universal Input module for the input you need to configure, and locate the UCPTConfigInput variable within that module Set this UCPTConfigInput variable to one of the following: 1 = 1.8 kohm thermistor 2 = DI with green indication 3 = 0-10 vdc 4 = 0-20 mA 5 = 10 kohm thermistor 6 = DI with red indication 7 = DI with green inverted indication 8 = DI with red inverted indication NOTE: This is normally done in Menta when you are using these controllers as I/O modules to a Xenta 401, Xenta 301, Xenta 302 base unit.  The scan time of all inputs is (200ms * number of inputs used).  So if there are 3 inputs, the complete module will have been scanned every 600ms.

The SigView_ATK (or SigView) 'List Object' report shows duplicated Object Titles.

Issue Using SigView_ATK to create reports the object title is duplicated in the Object List report.   Similarly, the various segment titles are also duplicate down the report columns. Environment Sigma 4.05 SP1/SP2 Sigma SEB Sigma ATK SigView ATK Cause Sigma 4.05 no longer automatically creates the pointer.bin files that is used by SigView_ATK to collect object data from the Sigma Index file, such as Object Titles. Resolution Create the pointer.bin files by either; 1.  Running SigmaX (v6) on the Laptop (engineers only) 2. For customers 4.05 SEB systems copy the utility 'GeneratePointerBin.exe to the C:\Sigma\Binutils location and run it.  3. For customers 4.05 SP1/SP2 systems copy the utility 'GeneratePointerBin.exe to the C:\Sigma\Bin location and run it Note: The utility needs to use the 'Fileutils.dll' to run and hence the above locations are used. The Sigma 4.05 Pointer Bin Generator utility is available in The Exchange Download Center.

Instructions for downloading and installing Vista 5.1.5 on an operating system older than Windows 7

Issue 5.1.5 is now packaged into two different spanned archives because of how large the installer files have become. At this point there is a 300 MB file limit on exchange online and the 5.1.5 installer package is now 336 MB, hence the reason the installation package had to be split into two archives. Because the installation package is a spanned archive it will need to be opened with WinZip or a compatible archive program. In these instructions we will be downloading and installing WinRar to open the installation archives. Note 1: WinRar is technically not free software, but it does allow its demo license to extend on past the demo period. It is at the customer’s discretion on what legal and compatible archiving software they chose to use. Note 2: The built in zip archive program in Windows 7 will open this spanned archives without fail. Product Line TAC Vista Environment Vista 5.1.5 software download on any operating system older than Windows 7 Cause File limit set on exchange online and the built in .Zip extractors in older operating systems do not have the capabilities to open these spanned archives. Resolution Create a folder on your local C: drive and name it 5.1.5 To download and install WinRar please visit http://www.rarlabs.com/download.htm and find the appropriate version. If you would like to use Winzip instead, please visit http://www.winzip.com/win/en/downwz.htm to download and install the appropriate version Navigate to exchange online at Download Center login, and click the links Product > TAC Vista > Vista Software > TAC Vista 5.1.5 > Downloads Click the file named TAC Vista Server 5.1.5 with Workstation (File 1 of 2) and save. Save the file to the 5.1.5 folder created in step 1. Click the file named TAC Vista Server 5.1.5 with Workstation (File 2 of 2) and save. Save the file to the 5.1.5 folder created in step 1. Allow the downloads to finish and navigate to the location of the 5.1.5 folder. Right click on the file named TACVistaServer515.zip and select Open With > WinRar archiver WinRar should open the archive file and you can now double click and run the TACVistaServer515.exe file within it. This exe file will access the other file (TACVistaServer515.z01) within the 5.1.5 folder automatically during the install process.

Issue Using the Pocket Terminal 32 utility to set the UNC532 default gateway via the command GW 10.130.10.253 and then set the node configuration using the SDCU.  Communications from the Sigma server to the controller failed.  On checking the default gateway it had changed to 10.130.10.240. Environment Sigma (All versions) SDCU PocketTerminal32 Cause Using SDCU to write the controller node configuration wrongly changes the previously set default gateway IP address. Resolution Configure the controller first using SDCU and then set the default gateway IP address using Pocket Terminal 32.  Similarly, if any changes are made by SDCU then the default gateway IP address must be re-entered.  The SDCU utilities is available for download.
