Accuracy / linearity SPD310/SPD360

Issue For Accuracy, only the 0-100 Pa range is listed in the documentation. Same thing with the Linearity. Environment SPD310: 004700320 004700340 SPD360: 004700360 Cause The sensors are available in several other ranges than just the listed 0-100Pa. Resolution Accuracy ( linear output 😞          Accuracy 0-100 Pa:                    This means that all other ranges ( 300, 500, 1000, 1200, 2500, 5000 Pa ) has an accuracy of 1,5% FS. Only range 0-100 Pa has a accuracy of 1,5% FS. 0,75 % of higher pressure ranges sensors means more Pa comparing to 1,5% of 100 Pa. 0,75% f.e. of 2500 Pa means a max. deviation of 18,75 Pa.     Same regarding Linearity:  Linearity incl. temp. and hysteresis:                   Linearity incl. temp. and hysteresis 0-100 Pa:       As above, for all ranges 300, 500, 1000 … the linearity is < / = 2% FS, but only for range of 100 Pa linearity is 4% FS.

Time in Xenta controller 1 hour out of time in Vista server

Issue The time in a Xenta controller is 1 hour ahead of the Xenta server even though they are all in the same timezone and have the same daylight time settings. Environment Vista 5.xx Cause A PVR object name XENTASYSREG is in the Menta application with a value of 2. This inverts Europe daylight setting and causes the controller to adjust its time. With the adjustment of daylight times recently different countries now follow different daylight start and stop times. The updates are implemented by windows for the Vista server but the Xenta controllers still have the old times. Resolution Change the value of the XENTASYSREG to 0 and power cycle the Xenta controllers. Use the Central daylight setting object in Vista to set the Xenta summer time settings to the correct dates.

Can the ASD driver of the I/A Series UNC or ENC be connected to the ASD bus actively operating under a GCM?

Issue Can the ASD driver of the I/A Series UNC or ENC be connected to the ASD bus actively operating under a GCM? Environment I/A Series R2 and G3 ASD driver Cause Attempting to directly communicate to the ASD devices with two different systems simultaneously. Resolution The I/A Series UNC / ENC acts as the master of the ASD bus replacing the communications function of a GCM.  Do not connect the GCM's ASD bus with the UNC / ENC's ASD bus.  Connection of both devices to the same ASD bus will cause severe communications conflicts and improper bus operation.

Can the ACX57xx be configured to use its RS-485 Infinet comm port to connect to a Netcontroller as an Infinet device?

Issue Can the ACX57xx be configured to use its RS-485 Infinet comm port to connect to a Netcontroller as an Infinet device? Environment ACX5720 ACX5740 Cause Limited access to Ethernet LAN, want to use the new ACX57xx in the same capacity as the old ACX781 controllers where they were connected as Infinet nodes to a Netcontroller. Resolution Although the RS-485 port can be configured for Infinet communications, this is solely for adding subnet controllers off of this ACX57xx. This does not allow configuring the controller to communicate directly on the Infinet network as a slave device. The ACX57xx was designed to replace, and improve on, the Infinet ACX781. To do this it was given more memory, a faster processor, more Personnel storage space, and secure communications options among other improvements. To accommodate all this it needed to have a larger network pipe for the increased bandwidth. The Ethernet LAN accommodates this bandwidth whereas the Infinet network would have been a major bottleneck.

Availability of TAC228R

Issue Is the TAC228R controller still available? Environment TAC228R 2281084000 Cause Availability of old controller Resolution The TAC228R was withdrawn in 2011 and is no longer available for ordering for new projects. It will still be available as a spare part until 2021-12-31 when it will be terminated. Accuracy on TAC 1.8kOhm temperature sensor family

Issue Accuracy on TAC type sensors Environment Vista family sensors TAC 1.8kOhm temperature sensor Cause In some applications, a high accuracy is requested. Resolution All temperature sensors designed for work with the TAC Vista platform is using a 1.8kOhm sensor thermistor (1.8kOhm@25°C), specifically designed to TAC specifications. Since we are using the sensors for HVAC applications, and not industrial purposes, the accuracy is +/- 0.35°C between 15 and 30°C. It's then less accurate in temperatures below and higher than this span. I have used STR100 as an example in this case.

Webstation - Concurrent user limit

Issue Concurrent user IIS limit Webstation user limit Simultaneous request execution limit Concurrent connection limit of 10 Environment TAC Vista Windows Webstation IIS Cause Many questions about webstation are how many concurrent user that can connect to the webserver, while the webserver itself do not have any limits except the license used ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0-008-8270-1      "Vista 5.1 Web station 1 CAL - One concurrent user license for Web station 5" 0-008-8271-1      "Vista 5.1 Web station 3 CAL - Three concurrent user licenses for Web station 5" 0-008-8272-1      "Vista 5.1 Web station 6 CAL- Six concurrent user licenses for Web station 5" 0-008-8273-1      "Vista 5.1 Web station 12 CAL- Twelve concurrent user licenses for Web station 5" 0-008-8274-1      "Vista 5.1 Web station Unlimited- License for unlimited users for Web station 5" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The operating system and/or the IIS do have a limit, not on user connected but connection made to the application. While using Windows XP this error occurs when 10 connections are met "403.9's  (Access Forbidden: Too many users are connected Internet Information Services).  " This is not really handled by IIS but the TCPIP.SYS that is set to a limit of 10 connection. Windows 7 (SP2) introduced a new way to handle the connection, so when the 10 connections are met, the following connections are queued so you will not see any error messages but it can take a while for the page to load. There is a timeout parameter in IIS. Windows server edition's do not have any limits so always use a windows server for webserver. NOTE: Webstation takes 1 connection and each TGML open takes 1 connection so if you use 1 webstation and have 5 TGML open you are already using 6 connection. Resolution Below is a list for the limits on respective Operating system   Windows Server 2008 R2 (IIS v7.5)     Server:   Server OS = No Limits        Windows 7 (IIS v7.5) 2     Starter:   No IIS Home Basic:   No IIS Home Premium:   simultaneous request execution limit of 3, allows multiple sites Business:   simultaneous request execution limit of 10, allows multiple sites Enterprise:   simultaneous request execution limit of 10, allows multiple sites Ultimate:   simultaneous request execution limit of 10, allows multiple sites        Windows Server 2008 (IIS v7.0)     Server:   Server OS = No Limits        Windows Vista (IIS v7.0) 2     Starter:   No IIS Home Basic:   No IIS Home Premium:   simultaneous request execution limit of 3, allows multiple sites Business:   simultaneous request execution limit of 10, allows multiple sites Enterprise:   simultaneous request execution limit of 10, allows multiple sites Ultimate:   simultaneous request execution limit of 10, allows multiple sites        Windows 2003 (IIS v6.0)     Server:   Server OS = No Limits WHS:   Server OS = No Limits 1        Windows XP (IIS v5.1)     Home:   No IIS Professional:   concurrent connection limit of 10, allows only one site        Windows 2000 (IIS v5.0)     Professional:   concurrent connection limit of 10, allows only one site Server:   Server OS = No Limits        Windows NT 4 w/ SP3 (IIS v4.0)     Workstation:   No IIS, PWS installs as part of the NT Option Pack Server:   Server OS = No Limits, IIS installs as part of the NT Option Pack
