Environment I/NET site Cause Site plans to install more than 64 remote ADAA (asynchronous) sites to communicate to a Embedded 4X host. What are some of the tasks? Resolution Plan! Consider which points are critical, then consider which sites are most critical (Do you really need every Message or Transaction to dial the Host immediately?) At the Host, build the Configuration Profile with the link addresses of the network Start I/NET. Set up your Network Configuration (If you are doing Docutrend, set this too!) Give each Remote Site a Unique Name and Site Number (use the INET Help Screens!) (Please, don't leave each site at link 0.) Set up each Site's Tap editor: When to Dial Who to Dial? What will cause a Dial? Link? (Remember, set it for what is needed and read the Help Screens) Save the Site Tap configuration Do frequent backups of your Host's files (This includes NETCON and SITEXXXX.SAVs)

If you are unsure or unfamiliar with any complex steps detailed in this article, please contact Product Support Services for assistance. Issue How do I change the power line frequency setting on the 7716 / 7718 / 7756? Environment I/NET  Hand Held Console (HHC) Cause How do I change the power line frequency setting on the 7716, 7718, 7756? Resolution Physically remove the I/O points from the controller. See TCON 096 for details. Using the HHC, press [Code] , 92, [Enter] to select the AC line frequency Press [Inc] or [Dec] to switch between 50 an 60 hertz Press [Enter] to accept your choice After downloading the software and database, place the external points on the 7716 (or 7718 and 7756) Place the controller on the LAN Note:  Code 92 is not required for any of the 779x Interface's. Entering this code on the Hand Held Console will produce the error LED to illuminate.

Issue PE Programs cause Locks to go into "Inoperable Mode" Environment Continumm version 1.94 and above Cause Personlized PE Program causes the locks to go into an inoperable mode due to the constant polling of the PIM for lock status based on the program characteristics. Resolution To resolve this issue, please follow these steps: Do not use PE Programs to poll lock status it would minimize battery life Disable all PE Programs that are lock specific. Do not use PE Programs for Schlage Integration.

Issue Can a 7716 emulate a 78061 Tap? Product Line TAC INET Environment I/NET site Cause This emulated Tap requires the use of an optional RS232 expansion module. Using this Tap function, you can connect a Hayes compatible modem to port P2 of the RS232 expansion module. You may then configure the modem for auto-dial/auto-answer (AD/AA) operation. Resolution A 7716 can emulate a 78061 Tap. Using the Hand Held Console (HHC): Press [Code], 90, [Enter] The emulated device type model number displays in the read out Press [Inc] or [Dec] to toggle through 7801, 7803, or 7806 Tap emulation Press [enter] to accept your choice You will need the RS-232 expansion card for ADAA See TCON 096 for details.
