But then we need to add the processes which is not included in the list. In the bottom of the page it is written SumCpuUsage if this is for example 95% then 5% is used to something else which is not included in this list. Connection Objects in Xenta Server effect on I/NET system

Issue What are the effects of a connection object on the I/NET controller lan? Product Line Satchwell MicroNet, TAC INET, TAC Vista Environment Xenta 527/913/731 I/NET Cause The I/NET communication protocol has a maximum baud rate of 19,200 bps and this allows for a maximum of 10 messages a second to occur on the I/NET controller lan. This limit applies to the entire controller lan not just a single controller. Optimal performance will be at 5 or 6 messages a second on the controller lan. Resolution Any connection objects involving I/NET points need to be aware of the limits imposed by the controller lan protocol and adjust the periods of connection objects to avoid exceeding these limits. Every connection object that the source is from I/NET requires the value to be read from the I/NET controller before it can determine if the value has changed to send to the target of the connection object. If the default period of 10 seconds is used for all connection objects then only 100 points will consume 100% of the bandwidth on the I/NET controller lan to meet the demand and negatively impact the performance of the I/NET network. Instead count the number of connection objects with source values from I/NET. Divide this number of 4 to allow room for values being written to the I/NET network to determine the minimum recommended period for your connection objects to avoid overloading your I/NET controller lan. Ex: 250 points being sent from I/NET to a 3rd party system / 4 writes a second = 63 second period. This could result in some larger then expected periods and some points might be more critical then others which will require some prioritization. If of the 250 points only 15 require faster response time then they can use a lower period, but this will affect the period used for the lower priority points. It is recommended to avoid periods below 10 seconds if at all possible. Ex: 235 points at lower priority / 4 messages a second = 59 second period 59 second period for low priority points / 10 second period of high priority points = 6 polls per point * 15 points at high priority = 90 reads for high priority points. 235 points + 90 polls = 325 values read from I/NET / 4 messages a second = 82 second period for lower priority points to accommodate 15 high priority points.

Vista trend log links in reports are not updating after upgrading Vista.

Issue Vista trend log links in reports are not updating after upgrading Vista. How many Remote Workstations can connect to a single TAC Vista Server?

Issue How many Remote Workstations can connect to a single TAC Vista Server? Product Line TAC Vista Environment TAC Vista Server Remote Workstation Cause Need to know how many remote users can access a single server for project specifications. Resolution There is no limitation number announced by the Schneider. Practically, if too many Remote Workstations connects to the TAC Vista Server, It will slow down the speed of the Server and for sure will get some un-expected errors will occur. And if the TAC Vista Server have many graphics and too many Remote Workstations trying to access the same graphics page all at a time, it should affect the performance. But it will not be a problem with 15-to-20 remote connections when the Server PC have a very good configuration. Note: If the Server PC having a high configuration and using the Windows XP the speed differ with the PC using Windows server 2003 or 2008.

STR-250 displays temperature but unable to control any changes on Xenta 102-AX

Issue STR-250 is connected to a Xenta 102-AX and displays the space temperature but any attempts to modify the setpoint or override the occupancy is unsuccessful. Environment STR-250 Xenta 102-AX Cause The wiring between the Xenta 102-AX and the STR-250 must comply with the installation instructions: 18-24 AWG three conductor cable or shielded, twisted pair (Belden 9184 equivalent) 30 m (100ft) maximum from the controller. Total capacitance may not exceed 4000 pF. Resolution Ensure that the cabling matches the documented requirements. Note: with lower gauge wiring the resistance increases and you might need to reduce the distance between the Xenta 102-AX and the STR-250 thermostat to ensure proper communication.

The Authority Access level of bindings and links on a TGML graphic changes when the graphic is edited.

Issue If you edit a TGML graphic whose parent folder has had its authority changed from the default, bindings and links on the graphic may not work any more. Say you have a graphic that you only want to make accessible via a link on another graphic i.e. it should be invisible in the Folder View.  The graphic has dynamic elements that must update, setpoints that must be adjustable, and links to other graphics. One way to achieve this is to give the Authority of the parent folder an Access level of 'None' for Everyone, thereby hiding the folder and its contents.  You then grant individual users or groups - 'System' for example - an Access level of 'Change' as you want to be able to select the graphic to edit it after it has been created.  The bindings and links on the graphic must always have a 'Change' Access level for them to update dynamically. You log on as System to create the folder structure, graphics, bindings, links etc. - all with the default authority Access level ('Change').  You then edit the Authority for the parent folder of your graphic, giving it an Access level of 'None' for Everyone.  You leave the two checkboxes, 'Change access level on subunits' and 'Change access level on existing objects', unticked as you do not want to change the access level of the folder contents. This works as expected.  Log on as 'Field', for example, and the folder and its contents are not visible in the Folder View.  The hidden graphic can be opened via a link from another graphic.  Once open, dynamic values update, setpoints can be adjusted and links to other graphics work. Log back on as System to modify the graphic.  As System you are able to select the graphic from the Folder View and launch the TGML Editor.  Modify an object on the graphic (it could be some static text, not necessarily a dynamic object). Save the graphic.  At this point the TGML editor crashes with a COMException error 'Access denied'.  The changes have been saved, however. But now, if you log on as System, Field or any other user the modified graphic does not work.  Dynamic values are not updated and any attempt to select a dynamic value or link produces an 'Access denied' error. Environment TAC Vista 5.1.6 Windows 7, XP 32 bit and 64 bit Cause Bindings and links to graphics are saved in the database as hidden object types TGML_DYN and TGML_LINK in the same folder as the graphic they belong to.  However, when they are created they inherit the authority settings of the parent folder, not the graphic.  These settings can be changed, but a peculiarity of Vista means that when the graphic is saved the authority settings of the bindings and links revert to those currently existing for the parent folder.  If this happens to be Access level 'None' the graphic will not work for any user. Resolution Log on as System.  Before editing the graphic, change the authority access level of the parent folder, including its subunits and existing objects, to 'Change' for Everyone and System. Edit the graphic, save and close the TGML editor. Change the authority access level of the parent folder, but not its subunits and existing objects, back to 'None' for Everyone.
