Issue When installing TreeTech 3.2, no license request program is installed and there is no option in the Purchase WorkPlace Tech Software license request tool for Tree Tech.  How do I request a license for TreeTech. Environment TreeTech 3.2 software Cause TreeTech 3.2 does not need a license. Resolution TreeTech 3.2 does not require licensing as noted in the TreeTech 3.2 release notes: 3.1. Tree Tech licensing. Issue: Tree Tech 3.0 and 3.1 requires license purchases for Tree Tech and associated legacy drivers. Resolved: WIBS Purchase Utility license activation of Tree Tech and associated legacy drivers is no longer required. Tree Tech will function with Network 8000 and DMS serial and Ethernet drivers upon completion of installation. The "Jobs" option has been removed from the "Files" dropdown.

Issue Does Schneider-Electric sell the GPRS modem option for the Jace-6 or Jace-7? Environment Niagara G3 Cause A specific site has a jace that is beyond a proper LAN connection. Resolution It was decided not to offer the GPRS modem option via Schneider-Electric. It is, of course, available directly from Tridium.

Issue How to determine if a Niagara G3 ENC or Jace is properly licensed for embedded Workbench.  This is an optional purchase (part # ENC-WB) and provides Workbench functionality through a web browser. Environment Niagara G3 Cause Confirming that a purchased option is properly reflected in the license file (without actually trying out the feature). Resolution In the license file, the 'web' line will have the three variables set to 'true' in order to have embedded Workbench: ui="true", ui.wb="true", ui.wb.admin="true" If ui.wb.admin is set to "false", the station will be web-accessible but Workbench is not web-accessible.

Issue CyberStation changed from 1.8x XP machine to 1.94 Windows 7 machine After change OMS controllers do not show online yet BACnet controllers do Environment CyberStation Windows 7 CX99xx bCX9640 Cause Windows firewall blocking communication Resolution Turn OFF windows fire wall.

Issue Continuum crashes with ACCDataServices errors when alarms are dispatched for email delivery. Environment Windows 7 64-bit Outlook 2010 64-bit Cause Problem with Outlook 64-bit installation. Resolution Uninstall Outlook Reinstall Outlook Once Outlook is reinstalled the ACCDataServices crash stops occurring.

Issue What application type is required to allow a PCC10/PCLTA20  LonTalk adapter to be used with WorkPlace Tech? Environment WorkPlace Tech Tool software Echelon LonTalk adapter (PCC10 / PCLTA20)  This information does not apply to the USB U10 Echelon LonTalk adapter Cause Selection of the incorrect LonTalk driver application will result in the inability of the WorkPlace Tech software to access the connected LON network. Resolution Change the NI application of the LonTalk adapter Open the Windows Control Panel Select the LonWorks Plug N' Play. Change the NI Application For a PCC-10 LTA select NSIPCC For a PCLTA-20 LTA select NSIPCLTA Click Apply Click OK to exit the program.

Issue Live Eventview not showing name after upgrade. Environment CyberStation Cause Unsure. Resolution The problem went away when the database was updated with enhanced alarm delivery turned on.  

Issue Customer with 1.81 system needs encryption.   Environment CyberStation, ACX57xx Cause Can ACX57xx network security be turned on in a version compatible with CyberStation v1.81. Resolution CyberStation v1.80 added the encryption feature. This is from the CyberStation v1.80 release notes: -------------- 192-bit IPSec/IKE Encryption Support. Encryption and authentication can be enabled for communication between Continuum workstations and controllers. The CyberStation uses IPSec (Internet Security Protocol) and IKE (Internet Exchange Protocol) for encryption. This feature is for use with Netcontroller II (CX968X) and ACX II (ACX57XX) --------------- When running CyberStation v1.80 or 1.81 the ACX2 must be at a v1.0x. When running CyberStation v1.82 or higher you must be at ACX2 v1.1x.  

Issue MTA-File update Error, code = 4038 PVR block values changed from TAC Vista not saved in MTA file Environment TAC Vista TAC Menta TAC Xenta 401, TAC Xenta 301, TAC Xenta 302, TAC Xenta 281, TAC Xenta 282, TAC Xenta 283 Cause This could be because the changes made leads to a division by 0. Resolution Open the MTA file and check if the changed value can cause a division by 0.

Issue Need a way to automatically acknowledge alarms. Environment CyberStation Cause All alarms need to be logged in the Continuum database but there are certain alarms routed to another system for processing. It is preferred that these are automatically acknowledged in Continuum so as not to tie up the Continuum logged on user. Resolution Continuum can do this using the Plain English AckAlarm function. Scripts within a Pinpoint graphic can also be set up to do this. Refer to the Continuum online help system and search for 'Alarm' in the index. Select 'Alarm functions, Plain English' and review the four subtopics: AckAlarm, Overview, Pop Alarm and User-defined alarm functions.

Issue Receive "Error 1606. Could not access network location\." when installing I/NET Seven Software with StruxureWare Building Operation Environment I/NET Seven SmartStruxure Solution 1.3 Cause When uninstalling / Installing I/NET with Building Operation software already installed the Enterprise Server and InetIoSrv service must be stopped.  In some situations when not installing the for site it may be best to set both the Enterprise Server and InetIoSrv services to manual avoiding this situation. Resolution To resolve this problem.  Stop the Building Operation Enterprise Server service, either from the Software Administrator application or from the Windows Services. It is also recommended to stop or remove the InetIoSrv service prior to any update of the I/NET Seven software.

Issue Is the use of Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bit Service Pack 1 supported when using release 1.3? Environment Release 1.3 Documentation Release notes Operating system Cause The release note for StruxureWare Building Operation 1.3 states that only Windows 2008 R2 64 bit is supported, but it also says that .Net 4.0 is required. When downloading .Net 4.0 from the following site,  http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3556 you are advised in system requirements that Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bit SP1 is required. Is Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bit SP1 supported? Resolution When our software quality assurance teams tested and qualified 1.3.0  they all used SP1, so yes SP1 is officially supported.  

Issue A laptop installed with TreeTech 3.1 is configured for a serial connection to a GCM-86000.  After starting communication in TreeTech, there are no startup errors but the serial communication link fails. Environment TreeTech 3.1 Cause Using TreeTech to do GCM backups with the demise of ProBlock Resolution On page 25 of the TreeTech Engineering Guide (F-26640), the recommended setting for ODSR (output date set ready) is ON for a GCM-86000. At times, the age and model of laptop may require that ODSR be set to OFF.  Try it.

Issue Unable to see dynamic values in TGML graphic on workstation remote. The graphics work fine on the local Vista server/workstation. Environment TAC Vista 5.1.X Workstation remote Cause A version mismatch between the Vista server and the workstation remote. Resolution Install the correct version of workstation remote on the remote PC

Issue Not all changes in a Notes file are saved. If opening and edit a Notes file, save and then continue writing only the changes before the save will be changed. Environment Vista 5.1.x Cause The Notes file will only be saved once then you need to close it and open it again. Resolution When editing a Notes file only save once then close the file. If you need to write some more close the file and open it again.

Issue How to calculate the pressure drop across a fully open valve Environment Valves Cause End user wants to calculate the pressure drop across a  valve for a given flow rate. Resolution 1. Select a valve to suit the application and note its Kvs. note if the figure is Cvs then Cvs * 1.03 = Kvs 2. Flow rate is required. P (bar) = (m3/hr / Kvs) squared. or P (bar) = ( (l/s * 3600 /1000) / Kvs) squared. To convert to Bar to Kpa:  1 Bar = 100 Kpa

Issue What is the difference between the TTS-SD-LCD and the TTS-SD-LCD-4 smart sensors? Environment Field device sensors Cause Documentation Resolution The difference is in the number of buttons, the TTS-SD-LCD has six buttons while the TTS-SD-LCD-4 has only four.

Issue Occasionally get a alarm in Vista that is connected to the bit 16 of the error block in Menta (Mainloop overrun. The application program can not execute within the specified cycle time) Environment Vista Menta Xenta Cause In Menta under Program Specification there is a parameter called cycle time. This parameter tells how often the program should be run in the Xenta. If the program take more time to execute then the specified value Vista will show a error connected to a error block in Menta, "Mainloop overrun. The application program can not execute within the specified cycle time" Vista will not show this specific text, Vista will show the text that you choose to show in the Alarm block connected to the Error block. I.e. In Menta you have a error block that leads to a XPR block (expression block) that have the expression A&16, when this expression is meet it goes to the alarm block that will generate an alarm text of your choice. (16 is the bit that tells a Mainloop overrun. The application program can not execute within the specified cycle time have occurred.) The Error block has several condition and work like this The output of this block is an integer value where each bit represents an internal signal or error from the system program. Each output bit is set as long as the error condition remains, remains. In the case of a restart after a power failure, the output bit is set during the first program cycle after the restart. The output value is zero when no error conditions are set. Conditions:   Bit no. Output value Description 0 1 Restart after power failure 1 2 Integer underflow/overflow 2 4 CNT block overflow 3 8 RT block overflow 4 16 Mainloop overrun. Issue The Sigma object associated with the first entry in the Gateway.txt file of an S-IC3-SNP integration controller when displayed in the Sigma System Manager, always shows its default value. Environment Sigma S-IC3-SNP Cause There is an issue with the way that the S-IC3-SNP processes the object mapping file (gateway.txt) file, please note that this issue does not affect the earlier S-IC-SNP Resolution TPA-LOND-08-0011.00 provides a workaround for this issue, the work around involves adding a dummy line to the Gateway.txt file, this then allows the first object to be displayed normally.

Issue Every time the trendlog data should be viewed an alarm saying" The digital signature does not match, values might not be reliable". How can we avoid this? Environment Vista 4.4.2 Cause In old Vista versions like Vista 4.4.x we had something called Digital signature to check that the data in the SQL database had not been tampered with. This have been taken away in later Vista version as it slowed down and caused problems with trendlogs. The alarm indicates that someone have done something in the SQL database and the digital signature does not match.   Resolution It is possible to turn off the Digital signature in the Vista server setup under the SQL tab and then restart the Vista server. Then Vista will not do this check and the alarm should not appear.
