Issue Silenced/Ack alarms at one WS still beeps unack at second WS. Going to WS2 and selecting one of the alarms in the Active Alarm Viewer causes the alarms in question to update correctly (silenced/ack) ACCTrace shows WS2 receiving the ACK message from WS1 Environment CyberStation Cause Corrupted subscription Resolution In the EventNotification object remove WS2 from the list of recipients then add it back.

Issue Can Satchsize the valve sizing software be used with Windows 7? Environment Valve sizing Satchsize Cause Customer wishes to use Satchsize on Windows 7. Resolution Satchsize is no longer available and is not supported with Windows 7, but a new program is available. TAC Valve 1.8 UK can be downloaded from the Buildings Business Extranet. Once installed please use the help files installed with the program.

Issue When importing a Xenta server to another it is important that they have the same version but is it also important that the hotfixes(if installed) is the same? Environment Xenta server up to version 5.1.7 Cause In version 5.1.7 and prior versions hotfixes have not changed this part of the code so if the Xentas have the same version it should work. Resolution It is enough if the version of the Xenta servers is the same

Resolution Typical the Standard Output Window error messages usually provide some reference to the missing jar file. In this case, the lonTrane module was not installed in the UNC. Check to see what lon devices are installed in the station, and install all of the needed modules (jars) to the UNC.  

Issue Is it possible to use the VG221F valve in applications with a glycol content up to 50%? Environment VG221F Cause Some valves are not suitable for use in applications with glycol content in media. Resolution The VG221F can be used in applications with deaerated water with glycol-type antifreeze agent (max 50%)

Issue Text undefined error TBD 0x00002001 saving PE program Environment CyberStation Cause This usually happens when objects have been copied from another controller or created from a dmp file. Resolution Try creating the objects manually in the controller and then try saving the program.

Issue Is it possible to change the column size for the alarm window in Webstation? For some alarms it is not possible to see the whole alarm text for an alarm in the alarm window, he need to click on details to see the alarm text.   Environment TAC Vista Webstation 5.1.x Cause The size of the columns is decided when the Webpage is built up and this is nothing that is possible to change in the Websettings. Resolution No this is not possible to change in the Websettings.

Issue When upgrading a TAC Vista server from version 5.0.3 to version 5.1.7 it hangs for hours. Environment TAC Vista 5.0.3 TAC Vista 5.1.7 Cause In the Vista database, two Lon interfaces are using a Loytec NIC-IP. If both of these interfaces are disabled, the upgrade works like it should. Resolution In Vista 5.0.3 open Vista Workstation, open the properties for the Loytec Lon interface Take away the address to the Network interface. Do the same for all Loytec Lon network interfaces. Start the Vista database in Vista 5.1.7.  

Issue When saving a Plain English program, the program disables on the following error. Array index too large or too small. Environment Plain English Manual Log Array Error Cause Program is attempting to store a value in a numerics manual array slot when the array does not exist. Resolution Determine how many array slots the program intends to use when storing values in this numeric. On the Logs page of the numeric editor make sure the size matches the number of array values being used by the program.

Issue Large data base log file causes Continuum to run very slow and/or crash. Environment SU CyberStation MS SQL Express Cause When Continuum starts and attempts to connect to the DB it takes too long due to the size of the log file (14GB in the case covered by this article) Resolution Shrink the database. Go to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms190757.aspx for steps from Microsoft to shrink the database files.

Issue User must not have access to change group access nor individual access. Environment All versions of I/Net software and OS. Cause If there are multiple Tenants in a building using the same software but the only changes that a user can make are those that they have access too and the others should be left alone. Resolution In order to resolve this, the following steps need to be followed: 1. Go to Edit/Host Computer/Passwords, select the user who the limitations would be set on. 2. Select Modify and on the bottom row there is a Tenant Button, it opens a Host Passwords - Tenants Editor. 3. Select a Tenant and verify that they have either Full or Limited Access. 4. If it is going to be limited, highlight and click on the Limited box, this brings up the Host Passwords - Groups Editor. 5. Select the box for Read Only access for which ever groups that access will be limited for and click on the OK buttons to close out. 6. Logoff then logon again as that user and verify that the limitations set about has been incorporated.

Issue Once a backup to flash is successfully performed, will the restore be successful if the acc net id changes? Environment bCX9640 CX9680 ACX5740 ACX5720 Cause System design Resolution Upon attempting to restore a backup of its DB from flash, the controller checks its acc net id against what is in the backup, if a mismatch is found the restore operation is aborted. The error log will error 0x000014fb in the error code column and 0x1442000c in the Data1 column.

Issue Is it possible to speed up the refresh rate of values in a TGML graphic? Environment Vista 5.1.X Cause A customer requires the values to be updated as often as possible. Resolution There is no setting to change the refresh rate in TGML but there are a number of things that can be done to create an efficient graphic. In Vista 5.1.7 and newer: On the view menu, there is an item called 'Statistics'. When testing the graphic it possible to see how efficient the graphic is. Items such as a script on document load are very costly, for example. There is a new property for binding called 'DynamicUpdates'. This can be used to activate a binding later instead of when the graphic is loaded. This can be useful if not all object are visible when the graphic is loaded. Use scripts only when absolutely necessary.  

Issue Since the V354 is obsolete, a replacement valve is requested. Environment V354 part no 7315425000 Spare stuffing box part no 0804629005 Cause Replacing obsolete valve  Resolution No replacement valve is available. Pipe work is required due to port configuration. A spare stuffing box, part no 0804629005, is available for ordering.

Issue Supported Oracle database version for I/A Series R2 Environment I/A Series R2 Oracle database driver (IA-ORCL-DBS) Cause A customer wants to use an Oracle database for I/A Series R2 instead of the default Cloudscape database. They need to know the Oracle database versions that has been tested with the driver. Resolution The I/A Series R2 Oracle database driver is compatible with Oracle database version 9i and has also been tested with Oracle version 11g.  

Issue How many imported projects may you have in TAC XBuilder? Environment TAC XBuilder Cause There is a limit set in the software Resolution You can not have more than 10 other projects imported into Xbuilder.

Issue Alarm Message stating "TACSERVER-______: Offline" comes into the Vista server regularly Environment Vista Server Xenta Server Vista Classic network Cause When a site has multiple Xenta Server or Vista Server revisions, this alarm will periodically occur as result. Resolution Upgrade all Xenta controllers to the same revision Ensure that this revision matches the revision of the Vista Server.

Issue IOU module(s) attached to CX9900 or CX9680 keep dying, some with blinking status light others just show online but cannot drive outputs on it. Environment CX9900 CX9680 Lon IOU modules Cause Static electricity discharging on the module via wire of Fan drive controller. Resolution Disconnect offending wire at the source. Re-route wire so it does not cause static discharge on the IOU modules. Make sure the IOU modules are properly attached to earth ground as per the installation instruction.

Issue What was the last version of Windows supported by Wonderware for Intelligent Buildings (WIBS) version 1.1 service pack 3? Environment WIBS 1.1 InVue 1.1 Cause A customer must replace his computer hardware and will make efforts to obtain the operating system supported by WIBS / InVue. Resolution The last operating system supported was Windows 2000 service pack 3.  There have been several instances of it working on Windows 2000 service pack 4 and Windows XP service pack 3. In all three instances, virtual machines were not tested. Windows XP and Windows 7 have not been tested and will not be tested.

Issue What speed and duplex do the DMS and GCM Ethernet NIMs operate? Environment DMS-ETH-001 GCM-ETH-001 Cause Network troubleshooting Resolution Both NIMs (network interface modules) adhere to the IEEE 802.3 standard as written in the early 1990s. The port speed is 10 Mbps at half-duplex.
