Issue Replacement an AF24-S Actuator? Environment AF24-S Damper Cause Customer requires a replacement actuator for a AF24-S. Resolution The AF24-S is a 24v power open, spring return damper actuator, it has a torque of 15 Newtons. To view the data sheet, please click HERE. The replacement actuator range is the MD10SR/MD20SR ranges. The MD10SR damper actuators have a torque of 10 Newtons (dampers up to 2m2) and are available in the models shown below. To view the full data sheet, please click HERE.   The MD20SR damper actuators have a torque of 20 Newtons (dampers up to 4m2) and are available in the models shown below. To view the full data sheet, please click HERE. In the specific case of the AF24-S the replacement would be the MD20SR-T or -TS if auxiliary switches are required.

Issue Right clicking on a Xenta time schedule in the tree view and choose View-Watch pane-Select property, it doesn't exist It is not possible to see the property "Value" for a Xenta time schedule Environment Building Operation Workstation Cause It is not possible to select the Schedule object from the tree view and display its value.  Performing this will result in the 'default' property being display which is the description property.  This is a known issue which will not be corrected. Resolution Although you can not directly select the Schedule object itself and display its value in the Watch window, it is possible to see and add the value to the watch window as follows: From the respective Xenta Controller select the Application folder From the Variables tab expand the application folder Locate the Public Signal showing the Schedule name which you wish to display.   Right-click on this signal and select View > Watch pane The value of the schedule will now be displayed in the Watch window.

Issue A network of GCMs are configured with the NIM card in each GCM to allow intercommunications over the ethernet network. Some (or all) of the devices are no longer communicating.  No known changes have been made to the ethernet network. Environment GCM-86xxx series GCMs with GCM-ETH-1 ethernet network cards The GCM-ETH-1 network card contains firmware version 11.1F. Cause Known issue with the older version of the firmware (rev 11.1F)  where network traffic issues can cause communications failures. Resolution If a firmware upgrade kit (GCMA-149-113) is available you should update the firmware in the NIM card to version 11.2T, using the procedure in document F-26229. In the event that you cannot obtain a firmware upgrade kit or a replacement GCM-ETH-1 NIM card, the procedure documented in Technical Bulletin 99-56, can be used to clear the memory of the NIM card, allowing it to re-establish communications.

Issue At times it's necessary to only display an alarm at certain times of the day based on a schedule. Environment Continuum Windows XP Windows 7 Windows Server 2003 Windows Server 2008 Cause An input alarm cannot be directly assigned to a schedule, another method is needed to evaluate when to send the alarm. Resolution Click here to download instructions

Issue Attempting to map a 3rd party bacnet alarm and there is no way to navigate down to the object Click here to see the following snapshots illustrating the issue Environment SmartStruxure Windows XP SP3 Windows 7 Cause We currently do not support external alarming (that is a BACnet alarm in the AS or ES monitoring a property in some other device.) This is being considered for a future revision. Resolution If the 3rd party device does not support alarming they would have to create an SmartStruxure alarm to monitor it.    An alternative work around if the 3rd party device supports alarms (Ex. Veeder Root in this case) is to create a BACnet Value in the AS (or ES) and then binding it from the Veeder Root object to the local value, and configure alarming from there.

Issue What was the repeater used on MicroSmart communication trunks? Environment DMS MicroSmart (all revisions) Cause Information on a discontinued product line Resolution The typical repeater installed was Model # RPTR-DMS-WW.  There are other model numbers for trunks installed with fiber. Issue An issue has been identified when a Unifact configuration is downloaded to a Unifact controller where the first byte of the download is incorrectly set to 0.   Environment VisiSat 2.1 Cause When downloading a Unifact configuration to a Unifact controller the first byte is set to 0.  The node links should be   Resolution Download the required scheme to the Unifact controller. It does not matter if this is a new scheme for the controller or you are re-downloading the same scheme the controller already contains. Enter Bubbleland A links mis-match message is displayed. Select the Fix Later option. Concentrating on any object link, Break the link Then re-make the link This re-writes the configuration's node link tables in the controller and the configuration now has matching node links. Conformation that the configuration is now correct is provided when you enter Bubbleland the next time. The controller configuration now matches the configuration in VisiSat. Note: This procedure will need to be carried out each time the controller's configuration is downloaded.

Issue This is a short guide to show the correct use of output blocks with forced values in Function Block programs Environment SmartStruxure AS using Function Block programs Cause There is a design difference between the Vista Menta function block programming and the new version for SmartStruxure. In the old Menta programs it is possible to connect the output from an output block and connect it to an expression block. The forced value from the output block was passed to an expression block connected downstream of the output block. This is NOT supported in SmartStruxure at the current release Ver 1.3 (April 2013) If this is done in SmartStruxure then should the output block be forced in any way the forced signal is ignored by the downstream block Resolution Follow the guidelines as detailed in the attached document.

Issue SmartStruxure integration with BMS, CRM, SQL, SCADA, PLC, HMI, TouchPanels, Citrix, or UNIX types of systems Product Line EcoStruxure Building Operation Environment SmartStruxure Site Cause Can SmartStruxure integrate or be used with other BMS, CRM, SQL, SCADA, PLC, HMI, TouchPanels, Citrix, or UNIX types of systems? Resolution Integration and use with third party systems is sometimes possible with SmartStruxure. The question is how much is the third party system willing to integrate or be used with SmartStruxure? OnQ, which is a proprietary CRM or Contact Resource Management built by the Hilton company and deployed to more than 2,100 hotels worldwide, is using the same communication protocol than Micros Fidelio/Opera so you can use a Bacnet to Fidelio gateway. Fingi Operational Services(FOS) All features of the Fingi Mobile Platform operate from within FOS server. There has not been an integration with FOS for an example. We have several references with these systems (Hilton Manchester, Hilton Copenhagen, Hilton America, ...) - some information are in the Solution Toolbox/Hotel under BMS to PMS integration. The Building Management WorkStation and WebStation have not been tested on a Citrix platform. One solution would be to inquire through your local sales/marketing channel to see if this is something they want to pursue with the business case which has been put together. Integration is a proposed TVDA for 2013 - to be confirmed depending on resources on StruxureLab.

Issue How to troubleshoot UDP IOServer can not communicate with Xenta Environment Xenta Server Ethernet Communication (UDP) Cause INET communicate with Xenta Server via UDP but sometimes another process are occupying the default port Resolution Refer to this guide

Issue Need a currently available sensor that is compatible with the MicroFlo II controller. Environment MicroFlo II VAV controller Cause Need a sensor for the obsolete MicroFlo II. Resolution See the Spec Data sheet (F-24314-5, page 3) for a list of compatible sensors that are currently available. NOTE: The MicroFlo II controller is OBSOLETE.

Issue When was the AC256 product discontinued? Environment AC256 Cause Discontinuation notices only seem to go back to 2007, at which time the AC256 had been discontinued for quite some time. Unable to find any reference to this products discontinuation. Resolution The AC256 was discontinued in 1998. A reference to this can be found in the Andover Controls Network News from February 1998. On page 2 on the right hand column, there is reference to discontinued products as of May 1, 1998. You find the bulletin here.

Issue What date was the DMS product no longer available?  Is there supportive documentation of the announcement? Environment DMS Cause Documentation required for an end customer's request Resolution The DMS product line was no longer for sale on April 1, 2005. Click to view Announcement 05-016.

Issue Which models of the SE7300 series room controllers can be used with the SC3000 series relay packs? Product Line EcoStruxure Building Expert, EcoStruxure Building Operation, Field Devices Environment SE7300 series Room Controllers Cause The SC3000 series relay packs allows existing line voltage wiring between the fan coil unit and temperature controller to be re-used. Only certain models of the SE7000 series room controllers can be used with the relay packs.  Resolution The SER7300 is used with the SC3000. Refer to F-27797 SER7300 and SC3000 Series datasheet. Refer to the F-27777 SC3000 Series datasheet to select the appropriate relay pack for your application.  SE7000 series Room Controllers documentation can be found on The Exchange Download Center.   

Issue I/A Series R2 and G3 Security Update - Oracle has released a Critical Patch Update for Java SE that addresses a number of security vulnerabilities Environment I/A Series R2 - All versions I/A Series G3 - All versions Cause Oracle has released a Critical Patch Update for Java SE that addresses a number of security vulnerabilities.  The patch contains fixes for 50 security vulnerabilities including 44 that only affect client deployment of Java.  These vulnerabilities can only be exploited on desktops through Java Web Start applications or Java applets.  One reported vulnerability exploits the installation process of client deployment of Java – installation of the Java Runtime Environment on desktops.  This Critical Patch Update also includes fixes that were previously released with the Java 7 Update 11 alert (Security Alert CVE-2013-0422). Resolution Download and review TPA-IA-13-0001.01 Technical Product Advisory that details the vulnerabilities.  Schneider Electric recommends that customers evaluate the risk of enabling Java, based on how the affected PC is used and that customers review the download and install the Critical Patch Update as needed.

Issue Is there any way to get calibration certificates for the Kamstrup meters and auxiliary equipment associated to the meters? Environment Kamstrup Heat meters cool meters flow meters Cause To fulfill the requirements of some standards, calibration certificates on the equipment may be required.  Resolution All new meters are delivered with approval and initial verification according to the standard for heat meters EN1434, and the European Measuring Instrument Directive MID. This warrants that each meter is within the Class and MPE stated by the standard. Kamstrup can provide certified calibration results for individual meters upon request. Please order these certificates through your regular Orders channels, and please confirm the meters/sensors serial number by filling in the Order form that can be downloaded here. Temperature sensors, calculator and flow part has each their own certificate, and can be replaced individually if broken or damaged. Please make sure to state serial number for each part when requesting the certificate(s).

Resolution The Hex code represents seconds after midnight and days of the week, and days of the week that the schedule is on.  An Excel spreadsheet to perform the conversion for you can be downloaded here. Issue The values read from an IAC600-S imported point are multiplied by 256. Environment StruxureWare SNP IAC IAC600 IAC600-S Values Cause The cause is believed to be the data bits for the value are read in the wrong order. Resolution This issue has been raise on the StruxureWare quality report system. (21033) It is possible to correct this reading on a point by point basis with a simple script program. 1  numeric input A 2  numeric output B 3  4  B = A/256 Or with the use of a function block.   Linking the object to the input and the output then linked to the graphical display / log ETC.
