How to create a graphic that is restricted to specific users in Sigma WebClient

Issue How to create a graphic that is restricted to specific users Sigma WebClient Environment WebClient Cause How to assign a specific graphic or sets of graphics to a specific User in Sigma WebClient. Resolution In Sigma, create a User and in the account, assign the startup graphic that is specifically for that User e.g. a building or plant that only that User needs to see. Create a graphic with the startup number assigned, e.g. building index page. Ensure that on this graphic and any other graphics referenced to this graphic there is no reference or "chain" command back to the main site. Otherwise the User could move forwards into his own building then back to the main site. or if other Users require to go back to the main site, then create a duplicated set of graphics specifically for this User and remove the "Chain" command for this set only. Once setup, the User can now goto: In WebClient, the User signs on and is taken to the startup graphic assigned to him.

Does the I/A Series (Niagara) R2 UNC-410 or the G3 ENC-410 support a BACnet MS/TP network?

Issue License form does not list the BACnet MS/TP driver. Environment I/A Series R2 UNC-410 I/A Series G3 ENC-410 Cause License request for the UNC-410 or ENC-410 does not list an option for the BACnet MS/TP driver. The UNC-410 / ENC-410 does not support any RS-485 drivers because the RS-485 port is not electrically isolated. These controllers do support BACnet integration via BACnet-IP or BACnet-Ethernet. Resolution If BACnet MS/TP integration is required, use the UNC-520 or ENC-520.

Error message 'unable to initialize license' .

Issue Vista IV Error message 'unable to initialize license' when trying to start workstation. Environment Privilege Licensing Vista IV Cause Unknown corruption possibly due to premature or sudden shutdown of Vista and the Privilege Server, such as power loss to the PC. If the correct .PLF is active in the Privilege License Manager and you are still receiving the error, A reinstallation of Vista should correct the issue.     Note: Beginning 2012, PSS will no longer support the Privilege License System. The Tamfs26 Server will be retired along with TAC License Server software. It would be wise to inform the customer of this important information to plan for future upgrade in the event that their site license has issues.

Link Summary Indicator in Netcon during Equalization

Issue Link Summary Indicator in Netcon during Equalization Environment Netcon Cause During equalization, when a Client is connected to the File master, who is either directly or over Ethernet connected to the system, a – sign is displayed in the cnf column in Network Configuration, Link Summary. Normally, this indicates that there is no communications from the Client PC to the controllers. However, if you penetrate the link you are able to see all the controllers and their sub-lan devices. NS Connections #13 lcaErrConnSvctypeNotConfigurable

Issue An attempt was made to modify the protocol service type attribute, and that attribute was not specified as configurable. Environment Vista LonMaker SNVT binding types Cause For network variables, the service type can be specified in the connection information in the Neuron C variable declaration. The options are unackd, nackd_rpt and ackd. The keyword config is the default. This allows a network management tool to change the service specification at installation time. The keyword nonconfig indicates that the service type cannot be changed by a network management tool. Resolution Echelon requests to please refer to the Neuron C Reference Guide for more information. To see which binding type is necessary, open the .XIF in a text editor and look for the following definition: XIF Definition of Line 2, Field 5: Default service type to use for connections containing this variable. Set to 0 for acknowledged, 1 for repeated, or 2 for unacknowledged. Created bindings needs to match the type defined in the XIF file.  Right click on the SNVT and go to properties.  Go to binding type.  Ensure binding type is the same, i.e. you cannot bind a Repeated SNVT type to a point that was flagged for only Acknowledged bindings.
