UPDATE: I was able to get a used Wiser on eBay for $150, seems like a lot of money, considering its really obsolete from a network standpoint. I can now use it somewhere away from the Breaker panel that's out near the street. Maybe I can offload it once I finished testing the functionality with the Square D switches and outlets plugin. If only someone else had written up the capabilities of the wiser energy monitor and the Square D plugin.
I want to be able to get long term energy use reports from my SQR141U1WHW & SQR441U1WHW devices. They support WPA3-SAE security so I standardizing on them. (Square D really did the right thing!)
The current Wiser device, AKA..Sense device is based on a very old hardware platform (WiFi4, circa 2009 WiFi) and was told by sense engineer that their WPA3 implementation will require new hardware. My panel is out near the street so putting WPA2 devices out there isn't really the smartest thing to do in 2022 thats based on 13 year old WiFi technology. Do you folks have any beta hardware that can be purchased/demoed so I can setup long term monitoring without having to buy a device that needs to be replaced right away if you live in an urban area?
$300+ for something as obsolete as that is a non starter.
Is is possible to integrate the Wiser Home stuff into a Sense device? There are probably a lot of used ones for sale cheap once folks saw how they actually worked. I could just install it way away from my panel, away from the war-drivers and not use the CT's.
Thanks, Bill

It is possible to integrate a handful of Wiser energy monitoring plugs & switches into Sense. But it's 100% not worth it. The Wiser devices stop reporting to Sense on a daily basis requiring a power cycle of the Wiser plugs/outlets to reestablish. The plugs and switches report random spikes of millions of watts.
These issues were widely reported during Beta testing and never corrected.
Sense engineers claims the packets (data) they receive from Schneider contain the erroneous wattage and Sense stops reporting because Schneider stops sending the data.
Schneider flat out refuses to work with Sense to correct these issues.
All other non-Schneider integrations with Sense work flawless.
