When a device communication failure occurs in IT Expert, it is usually because the FTP/SCP credentials are not configured properly on the APC Network Management Card (NMC) or in the Gateway file transfer settings.
All three failed the update with the message: Download checksum mismatch
There is no description of how to recover from that failure in this documentation.
Also, ESIT now no longer presents the ability to update the devices - which means I must go back to working with them manually via a web browser, defeating the purported usefulness of ESIT...
Edited to say: I attempted one device at the other sites and not one was capable of succeeding.
We have the same problem LarryK has. Attempted to update multiple devices multiple times--and with two different Gateways. Some UPSs had NMC2 going to 7.1.8, some had NMC3 going to 3.2.0.8. Same failure, regardless.
We did have a platform issue with the checksum. A hotfix is in place and updates should work for you. If you're still experiencing issues please let me know.
