Configuring and using the WebX client in Internet Explorer

The WebX Client allows you to connect to your database from any location, whether on your normal site or off-site. It uses Microsoft® Internet Explorer instead of ViewX to view and control the system. You have the same functionality as ViewX Client, with minor differences in the interface's appearance and actions performed to access some functions.

The WebX Client can be used to perform control actions such changing set points, but cannot be used to configure items in the database.

Geo SCADA web services are, from Geo SCADA 2021 onwards, placed behind an IIS Reverse Proxy for security. You may need to set or modify the settings of this. Please read the ReadMe file for Geo SCADA 2021 and also consult the attached document below 'Geo SCADA Guide to Manual Setup of the IIS ARR Reverse Proxy' PDF.
