Issue The IEC 61131-3 not only describes the PLC programming languages themselves, but also offers comprehensive concepts and guidelines for creating PLC projects. Defined in IEC 61131 standard, a Program Organization Unit (POU) provides a modular and hierarchical way of structuring programs that makes it easier to develop, debug, and maintain industrial control programs. How will this concept be used to organize and structure industrial control programs? Resolution In this document the term POU is used for programming elements in general that can contain IEC code, such as methods, properties, interfaces etc. The term Program Organization Unit (POU) is used for all programming objects (programs, function blocks, functions, etc.) which are used to create a controller application. Issue The configuration of an MMM system with routes, starting and stopping assets in sequence, taking into account security and associated supervision, is not easy to achieve. Resolution EcoStruxure Process Expert and the MMM library allow to realize these functions and the associated supervision by simple parameterization. Issue The Modicon M580 Safety controller can execute single task and multi-task applications. Unlike a single task application which only executes the MAST task, a multi-task application defines the priority of each task. When a task is running, it can be interrupted by another task with a higher relative priority. For example, when a periodic task is scheduled to execute its code, it would interrupt a lower priority task, but would wait until the completion of a higher priority task. Resolution For optimal CPU performance, Schneider Electric recommends that the total percentage of CPU bandwidth consumed by an application not exceed 80%. Users will need to determine the CPU bandwidth and fine tune to adjust the tasks period for an optimal CPU performance. This document presents different ways to change the animation color of the common process library objects in EcoStruxure Automation Expert. 3 methods are presented: a simple method using the standard parameters to modify the color animation of all objects in the library. A static method using the instance properties to customize the animation color of each instance. A dynamic method to change the animation color of an object, directly from the logic. Example of dynamic color change: These methods can be applied to change the color of any graphical objects. The Solution archive example is attached ( EcoStruxure Automation Expert V22.0)

Objective We will learn the basics of how to create our own symbol that is driven by an input value. This technique is based on leveraging inbuilt available objects.
