EcoStruxure IT Support
Submit a support request for additional assistance with EcoStruxure IT software.
Select your language from the translate dropdown in the upper right.
In the initial installation menu, select Install.
Press the Enter key to begin the installation process.
Select English/English (United States), and then Continue.
It may work with other languages as well.
Click Date & Time.
Select time zone, define Region and City, Network Time: On, and then click Done.
Click KEYBOARD.
Select/add the keyboard you want, and then click Done.
Click INSTALLATION DESTINATION.
Select "I will configure partitioning." and make sure that the root partition "/" gets most of the storage capacity.
Accept Changes and then Done.
Click NETWORK & HOST NAME.
Make sure Ethernet is ON, define Host name, Configure the IP settings, and then Done.
Click Begin Installation.
Click ROOT PASSWORD.
Enter your root password, and then Done.
Click USER CREATION
Enter user name and password, enable "Make this user administrator" and "Require a password to use this account", and then Done
Note: Avoid using "root" as user name . For security reasons, root login has been disabled in ITA.
The log in session will be displayed when the installation is completed.
To get/verify the server IP, log in and then type sudo ifconfig
To verify if the application is running and ready to be used, log in to server Webmin interface (https:<ITA server IP>:10000), and then go to EcoStruxure IT Advisor > Status.
The ITA application uses a different set of users than the server/Linux users that we used above.
On a just installed server (where no backup file has been restored) a default user will be created with the username/password of apc/apc. Log in to the web-client (https://<ITA server IP>) to change the password.
Accept the self-signed certificate if browser should prompted for that. Type in apc/apc as login
Type in apc as existing password, and select a new one (at least 6 characters long)
