How can we clone a server room with all its content and work on it in a planning mode?  We want to start from the existing rack inventory and move equipment for a more optimal layout ...The new layout will then be used to create a new room as part of a datacenter move to a new building

It is possible in the ITA desktop client to right click on an open room, choose copy. Then you can paste the room and make a copy as long as you paste the room into a separate location (folder) as ITA does not allow the duplicate to be created in the same location folder.

Also, please note any replicated racks will consume licenses. Most attributes are copied, but some are reset like your asset names may be reset to defaults.

Regards

Hello ITA expert,

How can we declare width and length of the room. I did not find any field to do it.

Thanks,

Ninh
