Gateway 2.1.1
December 2025
This release addresses an issue that prevented services from restarting after updating the software.
New features
This release will support video clips from NetBotz 75x surveillance cameras in IT Expert.
NetBotz 75x video clips are available on the Physical Security page in IT Expert when at least one of the Gateways in your organization is updated to version 2.1 or newer.
Information is shown in the discovery log for FTP, SCP, and NetBotz surveillance.
The Gateway communication status sensor reports on FTP, SCP, and NetBotz surveillance.
Issues fixed
Gateway services restart as expected after updating the software.
Devices no longer lose communication after updating the device library.
Cascaded rack PDUs are rediscovered as expected after updating the device library.
The Gateway auto-update installer time out was increased to prevent update failures.
Device firmware updates are no longer erroneously reported in IT Expert as in progress.
Timeout and retry settings are no longer reset to default values after a series of updates from versions older than 2.0.
The Full name of the admin user can now be modified as expected.
Gateway installations on Windows 11 now complete correctly.
Gateway installations using the Linux GUI now complete as expected.
Various security updates
Known issues
After manually updating the Gateway to version 2.1.1, a database migration failure warning message may be displayed. Up to 72 hours of sensor history data stored locally on the Gateway may no longer be available in the Gateway user interface. Sensor history is preserved in the EcoStruxure IT cloud and is available as expected in IT Expert. The Gateway will display sensor history again as new data is recorded.
EcoStruxure IT Gateway 2.1.0 no longer available
EcoStruxure IT Gateway version 2.1.0 is no longer available due to an issue restarting services after updating the software. We are working on resolving the issue and expect to release version 2.1.1 soon.
Customers who installed Gateway 2.1.0 can:
Wait until version 2.1.1 is released to update the software.
OR
Replace their Gateway with version 2.0.1 or 1.2.4 and then update the software when version 2.1.1 is released.
Instructions for replacing the SSL self-signed certificate were updated. Paths in the installation directory have changed from .../gateway/conf/ to .../conf/
Installing the WMIC utility on new Windows 11 systems before installing the Gateway is no longer required.
Known issues
After updating the Gateway to version 2.0.x, devices with no name can cause the communication between the Gateway and EcoStruxure IT to fail. Device discovery counts in the Gateway and IT Expert might not match, and alarm updates might not occur. Sensor measurements are maintained as expected.
Note: ATS 5G devices with 1.x firmware are known to affect communication.
Update the ATS 5G device firmware to the latest 3.x version.
Make sure the device name is set on the NMC device. Log in and go to Configuration > General > Identification. Populate the Name field if it is blank.
Delete the device from the Gateway and discover it again.
