In June 2025, Microsoft introduced a new certificate signing authority in Windows operating system updates. This certificate must be installed on your Windows computer to install EcoStruxure IT Gateway.
To get the new root certificate, update Windows to the latest version. Installing EcoStruxure IT Gateway on Windows requires the new certificate in recent Windows updates
Make sure your operating system is up to date and patched regularly. Windows users may see a message from Windows Defender that EcoStruxure IT Gateway is an unrecognized application. Microsoft addressed this issue in a recent update.

Install the Gateway.
After you download the gateway software, reference the installation guides.
Log in to the Gateway.
After you download and install the Gateway, go to the default address https://<server name or IP address> and set the password for the system administrator. The default username is admin.
Configure device credentials.
Create device credential settings for discovery and polling SNMPv1, SNMPv3, NetBotz, and Redfish devices.
You can reuse these credentials for all your device discoveries and add additional credentials as needed.
Create file transfer settings for device configuration, firmware update, NetBotz 75x video clips, and other EcoStruxure IT features to function properly.
Discover devices
Enter an IP address or IP address range, or import an IP address list to easily discover devices.

Register and connect the Gateway.
Click Register Gateway and connect your Gateway to your EcoStruxure IT organization.
