Only the values exposed in the config.ini for both the source and destination device can be configured. User management settings may not be available on some devices. You can change FTP and SCP user credentials in Device configuration > User configuration.

About device settings
The list of device settings does not dynamically refresh. Device settings update during a discovery, a rediscovery, and after the FTP or SCP settings change as a result of a running device configuration.
The date and time indicate when the device settings were most recently updated.
Current sensitive values on the device, such as username, password, IP address, and location, are not populated in IT Expert. Values that you change are masked. Click the eye to view them.
IMPORTANT: SNMPv1 and SNMPv3 credentials are also configured in the Gateway for device communication. Changes made to these credentials in IT Expert must also be made in every Gateway that monitors the device, and the affected devices must be rediscovered.
Otherwise, communication with the Gateway will be lost.
You can add the new credentials to the Gateway(s) before you configure the devices in IT Expert as long as the old credentials are not removed. You must still rediscover the devices.
Select the destination devices you want to configuration settings on.
Note: If you want the settings you configured to apply to the template device, you must also select that device as a destination.
The Status column in the device list indicates whether the devices is Ready, Offline, or Credentials invalid.
Click the Status link for troubleshooting help.
Review your changes, and click Apply.
Once device configuration starts, it cannot be stopped or canceled.
A progress bar shows the number of devices Completed, Failed, In progress, and Not started.
TIP: Filter, search, and sort to locate devices.
Configuration results
Once configuration has finished, you can select a device on the Device configuration page to confirm that settings were applied.
All destination devices that support config.ini are listed regardless of whether the settings from the source device are valid. Settings from the source device that are selected but cannot be applied are ignored.
