To manage and mass configure NetBotz 250 rack access users in Data Center Expert:
Log into the DCE desktop client. Select one or more rack manager devices.
Right click and then click APC SNMP Device Configuration.
Use the default Standard device configuration settings and click OK.
Use the default Configure Devices or one of the other three options. Click Next.
The device you selected in step 1 is highlighted as the Configuration Source.
If it is, click Retrieve Device Settings to download the devices current config.ini file.
If it is not, or you want to use a different device as your configuration source, select it instead and click Retrieve Device Settings.
After it completes, click Next.
Select one or more Destination Devices. If creating a template, this screen will be skipped.
On the Configure Device Settings page, scroll to the bottom and expand Advanced Settings > RackAccessUser.
The following Value information is displayed:
User State: Enabled, Disabled or Delete
Card ID: 123-45678
Which doors the user has access to: Door1, Door2, or BothDoors
Schedule: Day(HH:MM,HH,MM)
Name: FirstName LastName
Contact: FirstName LastName
Make any required changes using the syntax above or leave as is, and click Finish.
Review the Device Configuration status
If there were any errors, you will see Incomplete Configuration.
When deleting a user, the change goes through; Not Configured is the expected status since that is the returned result in the config.ini instead of the previously set “Delete,<CardID, <DoorAccess>,<Schedule>,<Name>,<Contact>
