Issue EcoStruxure Automation Expert provides alarm controls to view realtime and archived alarms. Currently, it does not provide a method to export the alarms. Resolution This document guides users to implement this feature in the HMI. Users will be able to export alarms to CSV format files, and they can adapt the code to implement other formats if required. Issue & Resolution Having multiple monitors for the HMI enables users to have better monitoring & control over the process. This article guides readers to configure this in their solutions. Two use cases are covered- 1. Single topology, wherein navigation to all the canvases is possible from each monitor. 2. Multiple topologies, wherein navigation is restricted to canvases within the respective topology. Issue When building a Solution in EAE, each engineer has their own idea of how to name items such as pins on a function block, the names of Composite or Basic Function Blocks which they create, the names of folders, Symbols, Faceplates and the list goes on. Without a standard naming convention to conform to, a Solution can become an accumulation of unorderly syntaxes. Resolution This article serves to uncover the different naming conventions widely used in real world engineering. A EAE Naming Convention Reference Card is also provided. Issue When creating a CAT using multiple animated symbols or SubCats and using an instance of that CAT in a canvas, the parameters of the built-in objects are not displayed and cannot be modified. Issue Cannot open a project under Project Configuration Tool following the installation of Windows Updates. Cannot start PCT project servers following installation or Windows Updates. Product Line Project Configuration Tool Environment Building Operation Project Configuration Tool (PCT) Cause Configuring Windows Updates for unsupervised installation can result in an ungraceful shutdown of Virtual Box and Project Configuration Tool There have been cases where an ungraceful shutdown of PCT or VBox has resulted in a damaged project or a damaged server within a project. Resolution All projects within the Project Configuration Tool should be shut down prior to the installation of Windows Updates.

Issue Sometimes an existing application needs to grow, and with this the application license needs to be replaced. Resolution This document explains how to replace the application license and the impacts on the Process Expert system. Issue I want to use Transitions and Branches in an EcoStruxure Automation Expert sequence. Resolution This knowledgebase article describes how to use the sequence library transition and branching function blocks to create a managed sequence. It describes how they work and interact to create sequences that can be controlled by jumping to specific steps, rather than simply stepping through using the inbuilt monitoring timers. Although EcoStruxure Automation Expert V23.0 will bring the new Procedural Library, this will only be a front-end to enable users to more easily create sequences that will be built using these sequence library function blocks. Understanding how they work will still be important for troubleshooting. Issue SE.IoModbus Library is suitable when the number of Registers on the Slave are limited. This is because building up the hardware configuration that is required for bulk communication will require too much time trying to instantiate many CATs and configuring them individually. Resolution With the use of SE.ModbusGateway Library, large number of Registers can be easily created. This article serves to guide us on how to use the Library for the purpose of bulk creating Registers on a large MODBUS distributed IO.
