Issue & Resolution Having multiple monitors for the HMI enables users to have better monitoring & control over the process. This article guides readers to configure this in their solutions. Two use cases are covered- 1. Single topology, wherein navigation to all the canvases is possible from each monitor. 2. Issue It is often a puzzle to many on where C# comes into play in EAE. Well, C# “lives” in the HMI and are found beneath Symbols that we create as part of a CAT. The next question then comes on how does the C# Codes get called to execute, where exactly is the entry point? And after, how do we debug our codes, or at least know what our codes are doing? Issue Architecture using Modicon M580 with PTP protocol (PMEGPS0100) and the solution accuracy Resolution The EcoStruxure architecture and platform is open and interoperable, as noted in this document. The transparency of the Modcion M580 ePAC controller enables multiple architectures without the need for switches while maintaining network transparency. As it is open and transparent, it allows the use of a third-party module from Monaghan (approved) using the PTP protocol to guarantee an accuracy of 1ms for the SOE (Sequence Of Events) digital inputs. Issue Lexium Cobot allows to define load settings in one parameter set. But how to handle different gripper product combinations in a program and especially calculate center of mass with and without product. Resolution Using variables to update the parameters during runtime is the first step. Creating scipts allows maximum flexibility with the load settings and calculation of Center of Mass. Issue EcoStruxure Control Expert - Asset Link uses Patterns to crate, update and delete Assets and Attributes within AVEVA System Platform. Issue SE.IoModbus Library is suitable when the number of Registers on the Slave are limited. This is because building up the hardware configuration that is required for bulk communication will require too much time trying to instantiate many CATs and configuring them individually. Resolution With the use of SE.ModbusGateway Library, large number of Registers can be easily created. This article serves to guide us on how to use the Library for the purpose of bulk creating Registers on a large MODBUS distributed IO.
