Issue The Modicon M580 Safety controller can execute single task and multi-task applications. Unlike a single task application which only executes the MAST task, a multi-task application defines the priority of each task. When a task is running, it can be interrupted by another task with a higher relative priority. For example, when a periodic task is scheduled to execute its code, it would interrupt a lower priority task, but would wait until the completion of a higher priority task. Resolution For optimal CPU performance, Schneider Electric recommends that the total percentage of CPU bandwidth consumed by an application not exceed 80%. Users will need to determine the CPU bandwidth and fine tune to adjust the tasks period for an optimal CPU performance. Issue How to work with a TÜV Rheinland certified controller, Modicon M580 Safety ePAC, within the EcoStruxure Process Expert? Resolution The EcoStruxure™ Process Expert supports users to create, configure, program, and deploy process and safety applications to the Modicon M580 Safety controller. The Modicon M580 Safety controller is added as part of the EcoStruxure™ Process Expert system architecture, providing seamless transparency connections into the system network. The EcoStruxure™ Process Expert handles the process logic part for M580 Safety controllers, while the safety related part will be handled by the control participant, ensuring safety functions and process control are separated and independent within a common engineering environment. Issue This document shows how to integrate Aquis into ClearSCADA. With this integration, an operator would have access to the monitoring information coming from SCADA as well as simulation information coming from the hydraulic model. This will allow him to analyze the behavior of his network and forecast the impact of the operational activities. The EcoStruxue Web Services data connection is used to facilitate data exchange between Aquis and ClearSCADA. The operator will be able to access the Aquis model directly on ViewX. Issue How to migrate previous version of EcoStruxure™ Control Expert Classic project to use in Topology Manager? The functionality of Topology Manager within EcoStruxure™ Control Expert provides a collaborative environment that manages, designs and deploys the entire automation architecture with multiple controller systems including various types of automation assets. Resolution To convert and upgrade existing EcoStruxure™ Control Expert Classic project to the latest version of EcoStruxure™ Control Expert Classic, at least from version 15.1 onwards. Create a new System Project and import the converted or upgraded project into Topology Manager. To support the Topology Manager features, the I/O Scanning mode will be changed to Enhanced mode and the M580 CPU firmware must be at least version 2.70 or higher.. Issue Intelligent Electronic Device (IED) is a microprocessor-based device of power system equipment that can receive and sent data from and to controller of a process control system. Schneider Electric have several IED such as: Tesys T and Altistart for motor starter purpose, and Altivar process drive. Profinet is an industry technical standard for data communication between controllers and devices over Industrial Ethernet. Profinet is developed from Profibus by Profibus & Profinet International (PI). Profinet have its own redundancy system that is defined into four types: S1, S2, R1 and R2. This document is aimed to provide a report about possible methods can be deployed in order to make IED without built-in Profinet S2 capability to comply with Profinet-S2 redundancy system. Issue When a TeSysT is created from the Topology Manager in EcoStruxure Hybrid DCS, the DTM of the Generic Modbus Device is automatically added. This cannot be used to parametize the TeSysT inside EcoStruxure Hybrid DCS and other tools such as web interfaces or SoMove are required for this purpose Resolution The document attached describes the necessary steps to integrate the TeSysT Device DTM in EcoStruxure Hybrid DCS and connect it to the GPL TeSysT DFB. Hence, we will be able to parametize the TeSysT as if it were with SoMove. Issue How to configure Syslog Server with EcoStruxure Process Expert 2020 R2 Resolution The new version of EcoStruxure Process Expert 2020 R2 contains the Audit Trail functionality, which enables the user to get the traceability of all the changes made in Ecostruxure Process Expert platform when making modifications in the application. It includes all the changes that are made through the control participant, while refining online and offline. This article explains how to stablish the connection between EcoStruxure Process Expert and Syslog Server. Issue The BMENOR2200 can be easily configured to work in non-secure mode and many applications will use this. However, if a more secure connection is required, then this requires some additional configuration. Background Many of us are experienced EcoStruxure Process Expert (formerly EcoStruxure Hybrid DCS) users. With our extensive experience, we normally just jump straight into any new versions of EcoStruxure Hybrid DCS and we are on our way. However, since EcoStruxure Hybrid DCS 2019, we have a choice to use either the Classic GPL, or the new and widely promoted Situation Awareness GPL. Using these SA GPL correctly requires the use of the correct SA styled page templates in Citect SCADA. This can be a discovery process to some, and it takes time.
